I’ve played death metal for 25 years. I’ve been in quite a few bands. Nothing that really got popular but it was sick. We were just in a bad place. Too expensive to live and couldn’t afford touring. The only way to really get your music out is to tour. It just wasn’t gonna happen and it kinda sucks cause we Wright sick music

For some reason I see your comment in my notifications but I can’t view it to respond this is in regard to what you’re saying about death metal and it’s nature. It was originally created as I’m sure you know in that nature to resemble The possessed doing vocals And hellish sounding music. We both know there are definitely satanists in these type of bands that like to represent for it and encourage it. I kind of see it as a rebellious reaction to extremist religion. When religion becomes controlling and takes free will people will respond to it negatively and want nothing to do with it even cross over to the other side. It’s an understandable reaction I just don’t believe it to be a good one because if you’re a believer in both spiritual realms of Good and evil and they’re really choosing to be on sides with their enemy not just gods. I perceive it as swimming in shark infested waters in that you are completely vulnerable to things that hate us. As far as the music is concerned I always view music as a reflection of The human experience and how we respond to our reality. I kind of view seeing A band that portrays darkness as humans reflecting on harsh and dark reality of this world. It’s no different to me than watching a play and an actor portraying a demon just like in the movie tombstone with that female actress. It would be ridiculous to call her a Satanist or even portray her as an evil person. When you are a musician and you want to bring someone into your imagination then you must play the role and make them feel it. I am a believer in Christ and I still play death metal and sometimes the things I hear in some of the songs I don’t really care for but I remind myself that it’s the thoughts of the enemy. I do believe you should know your enemies actions as it makes you more aware of how to avoid tactics. I also feel that people may insult god just as they insulted Christ on the cross. I don’t think there’s anything people can say to insult God that hasn’t been done already. And even Christ forgave them. We’re more like angry children venting and it really means shit. God will humble all. There’s even some Christian death metal bands. I admit I haven’t really gotten into any of them yet accept impending doom which is almost more death core and I dig it. I come from bands like Grotesqueuphoria and butchery and my latest dm band is day of doom. We’re actually about to release a new album then giving it a break but right now we’re doing our latest band “Once Immortal”. It’s a combination of styles. every song is hard but all have elements of all types of metal and progressive. Our first album that were re-recording right now is based off the Christian Bible. Got some new ideas in the works and we even talked about making songs about Greek mythology, Egyptian, etc… I find all that stuff fascinating but I still view the Christian Bible as more realistic. I may not believe everything in it was an actual historical event. I think some of it is meant to be a lesson in morality yet some people believe everything as literal. I respect them for it but I feel it’s a bit much. It’s ok to be a skeptic. Doubting Thomas was. He didn’t believe Christ was who he said he was till he saw him after the resurrection. Yet Christ accepted him around and gave him tasks knowing some day he would give him the proof he needed. I think god likes doing that but people gotta be willing to seek him out. Don’t mean to get preachy bro I see everything as free will to believe and choose what you will believe.

Yea it’s bass so I played it slower so notes wouldn’t drown each other out. Using a delay pedal cause I like the atmospheric feel
