if you really want to hear induction noised, check out the 2J-R Cowl intake. It relocates the intake up under the cowl, where it gets cooler air temps and greatly increases induction noises in the cab.
I went with the Cobb high flow filter for my RS. Literally the same thing just grey. SUCH a big improvement. Also, you're such an inspiration to me and how I am going to be modding my RS. You pulled me in with your ST build and I got my RS last June!! Trying to make quality content like you on my channel as well with my RS
I got a filter and a Turbosmart BOV on my at set at 50/50, and it sounds good, sometimes under light m to moderate load and boost when I let off it makes a stustustu-Pshh out the intake and valve and sounds wicked 😂
I have a mountune B7 kit with the complete intake piping, next level turbo intake noises were achieved with removing the hood insulation and adding some roush mustang hood vents, sits right on top of the air box, nothing but massive spooly noises 😈
If you take the black heat cover off the hood you can hear the induction noise a lot better as well. It's insane how much sound is cut out with that thing.
When you do this on an RS you absolutely should follow it up with a sound suppression chamber, otherwise the howling/whistling noise is obnoxious. This one almost sounds like the previous owner already did it. The mod is easy skill-wise, but is a massive PITA to complete. The only restrictive part of the stock intake on the RS is the accordion elbow. Find an induction hose to replace it with for far less than a full intake.
@@markcase913 Even in the winter, I don’t think that will be a problem being they run pretty damn warm, After about 20 mins of driving on the hi way my oil temp gauge stays at half, & if I start going WOT, She gets past half way mark quick & that’s in 10 to 25 degree weather, So I think it would help more then anything.
@@zaahidmrmuscle9875 the noise? A little bit, I even thought about removing the cowl and seeing if that will allow more noise and remove heat in the summer.
I upgraded to the K&N 57s kit on my ST. Sounds great but here in Germany we're legally required to use it with the plug on the side installed... A real shame..
@@neovalkyr noise emission regulations. everything from intake to exhaust has to be approved with very few exceptions. that makes tuning quite expensive and bureaucratic. a legal downpipe for the st for example costs about 1.5k€ here and legally cannot be combined with an exhaust or intake or whatever might interfere with what the manufacturer got the approval for. I'm glad the TÜV approved the air filter in combination with the airtec intercooler. was more expensive than a regular approval though...
Did you ever have problems fitting it into your ST? Maybe it's because I have a shield in mine from FSWerks but I have to squish the filter to get it in unless I take off additional components of the intake.
My car came with an AEM intake filter which doesn’t have that whole on the outside. Is it worth spending the money to buy one with that whole, or just keep what I have?

Did you mean 2j-racing cowl intake? Cause I was gona say the same thing, I have one so should everyone hahaha dude it’s so nice
@@michaeldeney2702 ya i did lol... woops
I have one as well, definitely not performance oriented but cool noises
Agreed I love mine
It's also like 300 bucks, so def not cheap if all you want is some noise.
Cameron’s been killing it with these uploads recently!

Got me into ST’s years ago, awesome to see you back on the focus train❤️
Mountune filter, intake pipe and secondary intake pipe on my 17'RS. The turbo flutter is insane, very loud, even louder once mated with a 3" catback.
I got my 18 RS right around when you got yours and it has been really fun and helpful modifying it along with you! Awesome channel and vids bro🤟
I got my '18 around that time too! Small world!
Me too! although I legit was rear ended yesterday, hit at a dead stop at a red light.
@Matt Lacourse Aw man I'm really sorry to hear that hopefully it wasn't too bad and the repairs go quickly!
@@Matty_Ice9 Really sorry to hear that.
Thanks Cameron! Just got an RS and looking to improve it using your videos!
Love to see 2j-racing cowl intake! Do the cowl intake you won’t regret it!

Lowkey and underrated mod. I got the green filter and it’s whooshes all the time😂
Its so simple its slept on
you know theres some people who have stock filter still lol
@@CameronAlford haha they be stage 3 with stock filter 😂

My ST was my first turbo car and after replacing my stock intake with a green filter I heard my first turbo noises and I was shocked 😂
I got the K&N one for my ST because i work at an autoparts store and got it cheap. Employee discounts FTW!
I have the green filter for my ST and I noticed a big difference, it was surprising.
Sounds nice from the interior 👌
RS style box and a Cobb filter was my first mod on my ST
Would love to see an si build in the future 🫡
It's simple: I see a new Cam upload, I click.
Could remove the under hood liner for even more noises.
Yea it just won’t hold heat as well. So in the winter it’d be sensible to put it on so the car warms the oil up quicker

You should do a Ford fusion eco-boost 2.0 it’s the same engine as the ST would really like to see that.
Unplug the pumped In exhaust sound it’s in the trunk near the Sony amp
Sounds good homie
This platform does NOT have a mass air flow sensor. It’s speed-density. Oiled filters don’t hurt anything.
are you going to do full bot ons for the rs
Do you guys ship to Canada? If so how much?
hey @Cameron, i trust you’re doing well.
Quick question, how have you installed the pops on your ST ?
i want a sound clip of the VROOOOOOMMM... BAP BAP BAP
mountune full intake and bov will do it that wasnt enough if i had one
Hey Cameron, are you gonna install a aftermarket BOV? Or what are your thoughts?
I upgraded to the K&N 57s kit on my ST. Sounds great but here in Germany we're legally required to use it with the plug on the side installed... A real shame..
Why is that? Its seems weird

Cam, i cant get my 02 heaters to say ready so my ST cant pass CA. smog. Any ideas? Will the cobb accesport set monitors like for Suburu? Thanks
So do you really need to put oil or not to put oil on your filter?😅 im confused
Cameron! Just got a Fiesta ST. Does your Mountune have the pops/bangs? Or is that without?
Just wondering what happened to the speed 3 ? Did i miss a video or something?

What’s the deal with the Mazdaspeed giveaway man? Haven’t seen you make any updates on the car parts being installed or who won.
Wait a second, I thought you had to oil the green filters.
Would this green filter with colder plugs throw a p0171 code?

Wouldn’t have happen to know why my st back fires when i get on it
Where do I buy the foam cannon you use... I'm not seeing it bud

Hi all I'm new to modding cars, can I do this to my ford focus 2017 it has a mass sensor and is a diesel? Thanks
Green Filter also does a special edition blue filter for the Focus RS mk3.I already have it
Anyway to get turbo noises with the Focus St Mk4? haha
🎉
Theres a engine sound module in the trunk, a lot of of unplug it so we can hear the real engineand turbo noises
Remove the filter box
@cameronalford love to see you sticking with a mk3
So sick that we’re really getting into building the RS now, This car is going to be unreal.🤌
