interesting watch as i went from a mk7 golf R estate to c43 estate, make sure you get the amg performance exhaust if you can and premium plus, its a special car then, moved onto EV now as main family car and miss the amg noise

@phiIip488 lol, to be honest I don't mind it, bmw i4 m50 as a daily irs great, didn't say it was my only car, have a weekend car as well that's not EV, for family duty it's perfect to be honest, shouldn't knock it unless you have tried as I always said never but it makes sense for a daily
@@leespowart2808I went to look at one of them, unfortunately I’m too big for the seat why they make it so narrow?! I fit fine in 435d and 440 but not the i4. But tbh, I would prob run one as a daily too I’m sick of paying 200 a week for fuel
@KeyBrosUK yes the running costs are great, used to get around 300 miles max from c43 off £100 or more petrol, get 250 bit less from i4 m50 for around £4.50 electric cost
Lovely golf r - didnt see the damage to the seat but assume it’s the centre piece that’s the kinda mesh material. I had a 7.5r and was always worried about snagging it. Nice guy and a good fair deal

sometimes the pan roof is not spec'd to avoid the hassle of the dreaded leak from the pan roof

I had a 7.5r never saw any leaking issues, the drain can get clogged so just need to make sure that’s kept clear. The surround on the mk7/7.5 does crack because the way in which it was glued to the roof. Vw known problem and they will replace under warranty if you have one. It’s a £1000 repair so beware although the crack doesn’t affect the integrity of the roof or leak at all.
Had an 8V S3 Sedan (2015) and never experienced any creaks or leaks. I’m now in an B9 SQ5 and the pan roof creaks a lot when the components are cool (sitting in my garage over night) and I reverse out onto the road, which has an angled piece of concrete from the pavement to the road. No leaks as yet tho.
@ i had the tiguan r line 2017 pan roof the drain was blocked didnt know this prior and had a massive puddle in the passenger footwell, massive headache vw had to change all wiring under warranty apparently its a design fault

Handling and power the mk8 is better - the torque vertoring is amazing on a country road. I did love my 7.5r though. With Pretoria’s by far the nicest looking golf though

The seat damage is from someone getting in wearing bottoms with zip pockets. The zip catches the edge of the bolster and rips it. Don’t ask me how I know!
