It was Kyra's mother who was poisoning her, not a doctor. The mom wasn't wearing a doctor's coat (which is usually white), she was wearing a bright red jacket at her daughter's funeral instead of black clothes like everyone else. her mom had a mental health condition called Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. One of the most famous & horrific incidents is the recent case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard & her mother, Dee-Dee, whom she had killed in order to escape the abuse she suffered for years. Gypsy Rose ended up serving 10 years in prison & was released last December.

I just hate to see these prejudices masked as compliments being made to you. Yes, ya'll are great but it isn't because they notice or say so. I see it so much that it's clear they are oblivious we know. They think their approval of us is what makes us. As if we are good only if they say we are good. So glad that no one ruined that ending for you. This is the movie that put M. Night Shyamalan on the map. I saw this in the theater and everyone in there was in shock at the end. Really a spectacular film all around. Acting was amazing and that twist. OMG! I thought you both almost had it near the middle of the movie when you said that his wife got cold every time she went into the basement.
Nate Bargatze does a bit about this movie and how everyone thought it was more plausible that Bruce Willis' wife was just so pissed at him she didn't talk to him for a year than Bruce being dead.
M Night Shyamalan called out his talent, saying that he could turn it on and off at will. They'd cut the scene, start again, and the kid brought it back exactly perfect every time. My recommendation for another Haley Joel Osment film is "Secondhand Lions". Osment matches step with Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, and Kyra Sedgewick; not an easy task.
@@rumham7466 Which he carries pretty much by himself, impressive for such a young actor. Seriously, the success of the film rests entirely on him. Recently, as an adult, he did a late night comedy bit posing as JD Vance; awesome!

He wasn't asked to lose all the weight he did for the role but he said it fit the character perfectly. ❤ this movie it was fantastic to watch in the cinema and the reaction to the twist was wild making it even better.
Good point. Super well written and acted by both of them. Feels 100% real. Movie would've suffered enormously if that relationship didn't work so well. That actress doesn't get enough credit.
Y'all are so compassionate and emotionally intelligent to understand everyone's feelings and what they were going through. And I believe "Cole" was nominated for an Oscar.
Are you surprised? Did you expect they wouldn't be? In your mind, you probably really think what you said sounded like a compliment, but it very much comes off as condescending. "Oh wow, you understood everyone's feelings and what they were going through!" Yes, black men do think and feel just like anyone and everyone else does. You know, human characteristics. It's okay, we're use to these microaggressions. It just sometimes amazes me that you don't even realize you're doing it or maybe you do and delusionally try to pass it off as some backhanded compliment.
That was the mom. Not the doctor. Notice she is wearing red just like everything else in this movie. The doorknob, the restaraunt bill. The balloon. All things red. The clues were there the whole time but we didn't notice. What a great film. One of the best. Best plot twist for sure.
The Dr at the ER questioning the mom why Cole had those bruises is, M. Night Shyamalan. The director of the movie. He makes a couple of appearances in his films. Another would be the movie "Signs." That's a good 1
It's not Vincent speaking Spanish. It is a ghost that speaks to Vincent when Vincent was 10 years old. The number on the cassette is the date of the session with Dr. Crowe.
Director M. Night Shyamalan is from Philly. He has a small acting role in the movie also as the doctor (Indian guy) who tells Cole's mom he is concerned about his bruises and is calling a social worker.
You’d think Vincent of all people should have known that suicide would be no escape. No, I can understand the Mom being mad, as much as I understand Cole not wanting to tell her. She promised not to be mad if he told her the truth- that is, if he confessed to taking the bumblebee pendant. She couldn’t conceive any other possible explanation; so she believed he was lying to her. And as much as this was a mistake on her part, I honestly can’t really blame her. In a larger sense it meant she felt she was losing him. That’s why she got mad. It was the mom (or possibly the stepmom?) who was poisoning the girl. The way she was talking and interacting with her in the video- that isn’t how a doctor would be. And also the way the father reacted as he was watching, the way he confronted her afterwards? this was an _intimate_ betrayal.
Kind, chill. Ya'll really kill me. The micro aggressions are insane. These 'pet black men on the head for being nice good boys' comments from white people are insanely obvious and condescending. "I want to be friends with you" is patronizing. Like you're giving them a gold star or your mark of approval. I wish you all would knock that sh*t off. It's like you don't know what to say to us and it ends up being something stupid and insulting.
In the Pop-Tarts scene, it was a ghost who opened the cabinets. If you ever get a chance to watch the original "Poltergeist" movie from the 1980s, it establishes that ghosts can move objects like that. Other ghost movies have established the trope about the temperature getting cold when ghosts are upset, and the light halo in photos around the heads of people who are in the presence of a spirit.
At first. Cole was apprehensive about Malcom. The penny scene where he asked Malcom “how could you help me if your don’t believe me?” Was a hint to Malcom that his purpose in the afterlife was to help him. Physically moving the penny was the tell

fun fact: M. Night is from Philly (penn valley, philly suburb)! every single one of his movies take place in PA somewhere... and he always uses philly as the marker on the map. i did a biography paper on him back in the day this movie influenced me when it came out.
These are two very intelligent, very sensitive, very well-spoken film critics. What a pleasure to watch their reactions, and hear their outstanding recap at the end.
Why is there a need to emphasize that they are intelligent and well-spoken? Why wouldn't they be? Did that come as a surprise to you? White people have a tendency to show their prejudices toward black people in the form of, seemingly, harmless compliments. When, in fact, they are backhanded and condescending. Especially when you get into using the term 'well-spoken' when referring to someone black. As if you expect one thing and are surprised to find that isn't the case. These micro aggressions sicken me. These men don't need a 'pat on the head', 'kudos' or 'way to go' from you in order to validate or approve their behavior. The sheer audacity sickens me.

There are several clues throughout the movie. At the beginning, Cole asks Malcolm if he is a good doctor, and Malcolm answer that he USED to be. At the end, as Cole reaches for the shiny silver door handle of Kiera's bedroom, you can't see Malcolm's reflection.
All the clues were there, but we were unable to see it. This was so well put together. I really love this movie You guys' reaction was so good. I really enjoyed this - thanks!!! PS It was a ten.
That was the mother of the little girl who died. There is a rare psychiatric diagnosis called "Munchausen by Proxy." ....per Web MD.... Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP) -- or Munchausen by proxy -- is a psychological disorder marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care. MSP is a relatively rare behavioral disorder. It affects a primary caretaker, often the mother. The person with MSP gains attention by seeking medical help for exaggerated or made-up symptoms of a child in their care.

Nate Bargatze does a funny bit on this movie.
You were correct when you refered to them as having been hanged. A person is hanged and an object is hung. If a person is hung, well, that means something different 😅
She said she wouldn't be mad if he told the truth; she got mad because she felt he wasn't telling her the truth about the pendant.
It was delightful to watch you learn as they went on and to discover the twist! You seem like two nice souls with kind hearts. Kindness matters. 💕🐝💕
We appreciate you & truly happy you enjoyed our reaction! Kindness & understanding is most important! Much love💙
@@DaKidsReact My bros...my bros. I love us too much to not say anything. But notice how it's always white people who have these types of comments. Overly commending you on how well behaved, nice and kind you are. I promise you they don't say this type of stuff to other white people. I just hate to see these prejudices masked as compliments being made to you. Yes, ya'll are great but it isn't because they notice or say so. I see it so much that it's clear they are oblivious we know. They think their approval of us is what makes us. As if we are good only if they say we are good. They also like to say little things that seem innocent and kind as a subtle means to control. Of course they can't just come out and say 'You're being a good negro. We like you for that. You're not like the thug and ratchet ones that make us uncomfortable. You're well educated and well-spoken. Way to go. Keep doing what you are doing.' It's so deeply embedded in their way of thinking and how they see and interact with us that it's too extensive to fully dissect, but just know that we know our greatness apart from them. Love to you, my beautiful bros. ✊🏾🙎🏾♀♥
I’m loving this channel. You two are too cool and have become my favorite reactors on RUclips. All the success in the world to you guys.
Appreciate the love and the kind words! It means a lot 🥲
The child actor is soo amazing in this, I get chills every time I watch his performance
Haley Joel Osment. He's great in "Pay It Forward" too. He had an adult role in The Boys, but it was a small one.
Acted his a** off!!
Also the movie “AI Artificial Intelligence”.
@@rumham7466 Which he carries pretty much by himself, impressive for such a young actor. Seriously, the success of the film rests entirely on him.
Recently, as an adult, he did a late night comedy bit posing as JD Vance; awesome!
21:44 "you have to add some twists and stuff (to your story)"
"what kind of twists"
guy on the right, instantly: "somebody dying"
SOMEBODY GET THIS GUY AN AWARD HE GUESSED IT
You were right the first time when talking about the scene with the executed people. They were hanged, not hung. People are hanged , pictures are hung 😊 👍
Donnie Wahlberg is totally unrecognisable as his killer/old patient but absolutely unforgettable. He wasn't asked to lose all the weight he did for the role but he said it fit the character perfectly. ❤ this movie it was fantastic to watch in the cinema and the reaction to the twist was wild making it even better.
I still cannot believe this. Just learned this today.
I love the mom-kid relationship in this film
It's so real and so heartfelt.
Good point. Super well written and acted by both of them. Feels 100% real. Movie would've suffered enormously if that relationship didn't work so well. That actress doesn't get enough credit.
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat She’s criminally overlooked across the board. Her work in Hereditary should have gotten an Oscar nod.
@@DeathBeforeComicSans She's hot in this too, not gonna lie.
It was truly amazing!
39:55 That was the mom. It is a known mental illness called Munchausen syndrome by proxy
Crowe.
Coles first time meeting Malcolm ‘I’m going to see you again, right?’
Their last interaction, ‘I’m not going to see you anymore am I?’
Shawshank Redemption is another 10.
We’ll have to check it out at some point!
Shawshank Redemption is still my favourite movie of all time!!
It's an absolute MUST.
Shawshank Redemption is an amazing movie.
@@DaKidsReact
You won`t be sorry!
My first time watching you guys. When you said this is the first movie you could give a 10.
My first thought: they haven't seen Shawshank Redemption
That brings up a good question. Cole said that ghosts don't see each other... so did Vincent _stop_ seeing ghosts after he died? We'll never know.
You two are so kind and observant in your comments during the film . I wanna be friends with you two . Never change , you’re lovely chill souls .
"Nobody said this shit was scary!"....i cant stop laughing 😂😂😂
Literally wasn't expecting some of those moments lol
"IS HE F***ING DEAD!?"
The slow realization is *Chef's kiss*
Lol at the moment our brains exploded 🤣
I've just found your channel and am really enjoying your reactions. You are both so switched on and your intelligence and compassion shines through. ❤
We appreciate you so much. This message means a lot to us & truly grateful that you enjoyed/enjoying our reactions. Much love💙
Bruce Willis said he was so proud that America kept the secret!
Kid was nominated for Oscar!!! See him in "A.I." Very good👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for another beautiful, respectful, and empathic reaction to this wonderful movie.
Appreciate the love and support!!
Secondhand Lions is pretty good too, also stars Hailey Joel Osmond a couple yrs more grown
I love that film
Love that movie !!!!!!
Love this movie!
Fun fact: The Writer/Director is M. Night Shyamalan who played a bit part as the Doctor bringing up potential abuse at the hospital.
Another masterpiece by him is the village. That ending will blow your mind as well! Fantastic reaction gentleman!❤
1000% You will give "Shawshenk Redemption." I have never heard one person not be mind blown after seeing that. Y'all will love it,I'm positive 😊
Shawshank Redemption is still my number one movie of all times. Brilliant.
Another favorite from this director is “Signs”. Must watch it. 😊
YESSSSS
I saw this in the theater when it first came out and still remember everyone gasping at the reveal. So good!
At first. Cole was apprehensive about Malcom. The penny scene where he asked Malcom “how could you help me if your don’t believe me?” Was a hint to Malcom that his purpose in the afterlife was to help him. Physically moving the penny was the tell
If you want to more of this baby's acting check out A.I. and Pay It Forward, both are phenomenal movies. that boy was an astonishing actor.
Thanks to Da Kids for reacting to The Sixth Sense, one of the best movies out there. When you watch it again, knowing the twists and turns in the plot, you'll really appreciate the craft and art of this movie's script and acting, editing, filming and directing. It delivers a high standard of film making. Also, enjoying your reactions to Breaking Bad.
Appreciate the love and support! We will definitely have to watch it again and really grasp how great of a film it is! This was a great one 🔥
fun fact: M. Night is from Philly (penn valley, philly suburb)! every single one of his movies take place in PA somewhere... and he always uses philly as the marker on the map. i did a biography paper on him back in the day this movie influenced me when it came out.
I'm SO GLAD YOU GUYS DID THIS ONE!! Easily one of my favorites of all the movies I've suggested!! Thank you guys for putting this one on here!❤❤❤
Appreciate you Vi!! Great recommendations as always❤️
Every scene Haley Joel Osmond is in is amazing the end with him and his mother in the car OMG. I cry every single time I watched it 😢😢
You can hear whispers under Cole yelling Stuttering Stanley.
These are two very intelligent, very sensitive, very well-spoken film critics. What a pleasure to watch their reactions, and hear their outstanding recap at the end.
Appreciate the love!! ❤️ more great content to come!
The mother had been keeping the girl sick for sympathy for herself. She eventually killed her but now she was doing the same to her youngest daughter.
It’s not sympathy
It’s attention
Research Münchausen syndrome and Münchausen syndrome by Proxy
The latter applies to this “mother”
@@NF40375 seeking sympathy and seeking attention are one in the same. she WAS seeking sympathy because sympathy gets you attention, very warm "i'm so sorry youre daughter died. you were such a good parent" type of attention

45:01 good job keeping those tears in. That scene gets me every time. Such amazing acting by both of them.
45:37 I’m so glad yall didn’t know this ending. Makes for a great reaction
Great movie. Great reaction.
Good Will Hunting, Apollo 13, Misery, Forrest Gump, and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil are great movies to react to.
Loved the reaction! And I knew you were writing notes - saw you do it for Band of Brothers. Smart move, writing notes helps you remember a lot more.

There are several clues throughout the movie. At the beginning, Cole asks Malcolm if he is a good doctor, and Malcolm answer that he USED to be. At the end, as Cole reaches for the shiny silver door handle of Kiera's bedroom, you can't see Malcolm's reflection.
Imagine how terrifying it was to be locked in that room with that guy, who he actually saw and knew was in there with him
In first scene, wife was cold, probably because ghosts were following Vincent who was breaking into their house...
43:56 it's an Oscar for acting, but I feel you my nigga, lil bro murdered that role😂
26:24 NOPE. "Hanged" is correct when talking in this context. You got it right.
I just left the same comment lol

All the clues were there, but we were unable to see it. This was so well put together. I really love this movie
You guys' reaction was so good. I really enjoyed this - thanks!!!
PS
It was a ten.
I recommend watching
The Others with Nicole Kidman
The Passengers with Anne Hathaway
Charlie St. Cloud with Zac Efron
The Lovely Bones with Marc Walburg
Edit: anything this child actor, his mother, the director and even Bruce Willis has done is a must watch. Just go down a rabbit hole with each actor and the director. Won’t disappoint.
The others was so good
If you want to watch another 10, Hacksaw Ridge is the true story of Desmond Daws a medal of honor winner. One of the best movies I have ever seen.
This one really pulled on the heartstrings. Suspenseful and heart-wrenching. Classic. I also want to say that you have such good hearts. It's so clear that you're good people. Thanks for sharing. Peace. :)

Thanks for another awesome reaction. I have to admit that I had a few laughs when I saw your reactions to the ghosts. What's great is that as cool as you guys are, you guys have deep thoughts when it comes to these films.
one of the best plot twists of all time
This film really is a 10! Great reaction y'all, I still get choked up during the car scene with Cole and his mom. Incredible acting, directing, screenplay, musical score, biggest twist, just everything about it was well done.
Completely agree, everything was well done! This was definitely one of our favorite movies we reacted to so far!
With regards to why Malcolm's wife was cold in the basement, I've always thought that since Vincent was around, so were the ghosts following him ;-)
Nice reaction... I'm off to check out your Lord Of The Rings reaction now 😀
Great reaction guys! Always a pleasure to see you both.
Lol, my man, that was NOT the little girls Dr. It was 100% her mom.
Both Toni Collette (Mom) and Haley Joel Osment (Cole) deserved Oscars for their performances. They were absolutely stunning.
My favorite Hayley Joel Osment movie is "Secondhand Lions".
The kid is trying to understand the mechanics of his gift
I got chills when you realized the twist.
Never saw that coming😬
It was the mom- Munchausens is a wild situation
The guy that plays Vincent is now on Blue Bloods. He is also a member of NKOTB
Donnie Wahlberg, he was also in Band of Brothers.
You've both left out the most important part of his resume, that he's Markie-Mark's brother.
