Mad Max movies are renowned for state of the art practical effects, insane car chases and amazing stunt work. Fury Road is the pinnacle of the series, barely giving audiences a moment to catch their breath. George Miller, the creator of the series, was finally given a huge budget and he didn't waste a penny of it. Great reaction, guys!

It really is something, isn't it? Mad Max is a wonderful vehicle for just passing through this strange post-apocalyptic outback world and meeting the weird and driven people who inhabit it. It's a bit of a different action series to most as for Miller despite the series title it's less about Max and more about the people he meets. The earlier Mad Max movies by him are definitely worth watching too. Astonishing action, he made Fury Road when he was 70! Hang your heads in shame, young Hollywood action directors! :D

The next one in this trilogy is Star Trek: Into Darkness, followed by Star Trek Beyond. Highly recommend both. I grew up watching Star Trek The Next Generation , Deep Space Nine, and Voyager tv shows, as well as the 6 original series movies. I was never interested in the original series until I saw this movie (7 times in theatre). Then I went back and watched all the original series too. This trilogy (called the Kelvin trilogy), is a great gateway movie for the Star Trek Series.

This is one of my favorite movies because of how important the message is. It breaks my heart on so many levels, but it’s also so important, well made and well acted. I’m not white, but I dated a white guy in HS whose ex was a skinhead. We were both marked. It culminated in him getting beat almost to death and me getting attacked with a knife. I was lucky - I studied martial arts my whole life and I still believe that if I hadn’t, I’d be dead now.

I still hate Snow but I completely understand him throwing his boy under the bus. They legit just imprisoned a woman who was associated with a murderer. He doesn't even consider that Snow could be caught up as well if he was caught. If I remember correctly from the books, the ONLY reason why Sejanus wasn't saved for what he was doing in 12 was because he was of legal age and the Peacekeepers didn't need to contact his family compared to when he was in school. Snow, even with all the things he did to help the capital with the games was quickly punished for helping Lucy Gray. Sejanus CHOOSE to leave the capital; he wasn't punished for anything that he did. Yes, he was a good person trying to do the right thing, but he was reckless and privileged like their classmates.

18:45 this part is so funny to me bc the movies make gale out to be much cooler and more heroic 😂😂 in the book hes whipped in the square bc he carried a turkey he shot straight into to head peacekeeper's house, before realizing he had been replaced and the new guy was not willing to turn a blind eye to gale breaking the law. there was no scene in the book where he stood up to a peacekeeper like that 😅

Strongly recommend Furiosa: A Mad Max Sage. It criminally underperformed at theaters but it’s just as good as Fury Road.

Tribal warfare is unending. It only stops when a man is strong enough to eat the pain in solitude and not reverberate it through furthered violence.
