Always amusing how some players never realize that you can actually access the various fleet holdings also from regular sector space or adventure zones. For instance, the Fleet Embassy is the large building on New Romulus near the staging area that you can enter by walking up the big wide stairs. Or the Fleet Spire which can be reached by flying north after you entered the Solanae Dyson Sphere (Voth space adventure zone) through the gateway near the center of the Beta Quadrant map.
Aye, my normal route to the starbase for my Roms at New Rom Command is hop into the Embassy and take the shuttle over. Tends to be a bit faster for me.
Nice, Pets seemed like a lot to deal with, and it still does, but this is a great resource. They should really upgrade all the 1 hanger pet ships to 2 hangers to make more of them viable, I'm sure it would sell more ships.
Would make more sense to upgrade all the 2 hangar science/support carriers with 3/3 weapons to 3 hangar bays tbh because otherwise they're just too inferior to all the flight deck carriers which get 2 hangars but also a full 5/3 weapons layout.
We heard it here first: Spencer just announced the next Cryptic purchasable player token which will add a hangar bay to any ship of your choosing. Hangar bay capacity to be announced at a later date. Normal carriers should get another hangar bay &/or an exclusive hangar pet. FDCs are well enough & should be left alone. Ships with no hangar bay would be able to add 1 hangar.
I did something goofy yesterday. I equipped the Chronogami Displacer and then equipped 2 bays with Elite Temporal Ops Scorpion Fighter Squadrons. PEW PEW MY DUDE. 20% pet damage due to the set bonus.
Thank you this come in really handy I remember forking a lot of stuff up on my first Captain not understanding the pet mechanics in STO. Oh BTE do you remember the Half finished red alert I started with on Xbox? I grinded further for Dil til I realized two days ago the tested my progress because I wasn't getting any extra Dil. Well now I got 2 TX Upgrade tokens out of one red alert. NGL I can live with that
All starfleet ships in weight class defiant, oberth and up shluld have at minium of o e hanger bay . Starfleet ships with 1 bay should be up to 2 hanger bays and starfleet ships with 2 hanger should be upped to 3 and in larger starfleet battle ship should have 4 hanger squaderants
I'd argue this is technically wrong to claim most ships cannot use hangar pets. you can get Scorpion fighters on any ship, it just takes a slot similar to where batteries and other ship consumables go. it would be the consumable version from the mission "The Vault" the only difference is you cannot issue commands like you can with regular hangar pets. the consumable version does kind of do their own thing. they still deploy like regular hangar pets, launching 3 fighters at a time, and a max of 6 as if a player had a single hangar bay slot. the "device" has a 5min CD and 50 charges on it.
Which version of the Voyager do you have? I believe only the legendary one actually has a hangar bay slot. stowiki.net/wiki/Legendary_Intrepid_Miracle_Worker_Multi-Mission_Science_Vessel
i wish they kept the bonus hangar pet for command ships ! like how intel ships get bonus cloak , you can see this in the first Command "BATTLECRUISER" ships !! as you know battlecruiser class doesn't come with hangar pets normaly
Hi, does anyone know how i can get my impulse engines on T6 ship from KDF recruit event to be red? For some reason they are leaving blue trails. I dont have anything slotted in visuals tab.
Vanity shields, including those you put in the visual slot AND those that happen to go on your actual ship build, and _some_ impulse engines, produce trials. So you might not have anything in the visual slot but if you have something on your actual build that leaves a blue trail, a blue trail is what you'll get. Right-click to disable. If all else fails and you really really want red trails, I think the AEGIS engines (available cheap on the AH) will sit in your visuals slot and give you red trails. The shields also give nice red highlights... The only thing I'm unsure of is if a low-rank recruit character can slot them as vanity items before level 45...
Thats rediculous! We should be able to have hangar pets with all star ships. I guess the hangars are just for decoration. I just spend 30,000 Dilithium on Delta flyers and cant use them with my Odessey star ship. 😡

One little trip. You can unlock hangar pets via buying fleet ships with EC via modules over spending money on C-Store ships.
Crazy idea: for 2-hangar ships, if you only slot 1, both hangars launch the same one - saves you 100k fc and 40k dil per duplicate type!

The type 14's we just got are a distress beacon. They're not actual hangar pets.

@@ryans756 As a toon can use Mk XII at 45. Its should be no problem slotting AEGIS for real or visual.
