EDIT: Whelp, this just got patched lol Hey kids - So I goofed a bit and accidentally deleted a kind of important segment from the video explaining the Mudd's Time Device + Modular Momentum Interaction, so lemme explain it here. Modular Momentum is a node from Tier 3 of Temporal Spec. It cools down the alt fire of a gun whenever a module is used. Mudd's Time Device is constantly ticking internally, and rapidly trips this node, allowing alt fires to be nearly instantly cooled down to their minimums. Several weapons have very low or no minimum cooldowns whatsoever, allowing for exceptionally high output with this interaction. Sooooorrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I'm only 5:05 in, and can already tell this video is gonna be a treat. Your dead-pan humor is fantastic, and it's clear you have a huge passion for the game. Thank you! Edit: finished it. Good stuff. Thank you again for all your hard work! Hope to see more in the future!
Great video Mara. Thanks for taking the time to put this together (especially for those of us who have neglected their ground set ups) and look forward to what you've got cooking!
I love the channel, I love the presentation and humour, the musical moments, the content and the voice! You have it all and I look forward to more content in the future.
2399 phaser rifle and the covert assault drone on any kit heavy rotation is amazing as it keeps going off while casting and does great damage with my low endevour tier.
My entire gunslinger build -- and this leaves a LOT of room to add whatever the heck ya like: (Engineer) Kit module: Anchor of Grethor (summer store) Kit module: Tachyon mines (yep, the basic craftable mines) Weapon: Multibarrel phaser pistol (lobi store). 1) Lay the mines at the feet of the nearest enemy, hit them with Anchor, back up and see the terror in the eyes of the enemies being dragged towards that point and suddenly explode in a way that there's little coming back from. 2) Finish the stragglers (if there are any) with a couple of multibarrel rounds to the face. The Multibarrel pistol is ugly, looks really stupid, but is so damn good. The Herald staff (Lobi store) is also useful but the noise of it drivess mE cRAzyYyYYYyyy. Just some thoughts.
This was super helpful and gave great theme options without sticking to the common few weapons you see every goofball Fed generic character using or cringe female trek-waifu. I know this was done off the data but it feels like most people use the same weapons based off of a few reddit posts or youtube videos.
Damn, I didn't expect half of these weapons. The old Ico Pulsewave? Haven't used that since it came out! The Lukari Wrist Apparatus, it's a staple of mine except I use it for healing didn't know it could be *so* strong. The Elachi Cannon Pistol? Now that's a dark horse I would have never expected. Side note: Bought the Fluidic Lance recently for an 'Alliance' themed toon, people told me it's an old outdated thing, not worth the Lobi. Who's laughing NOW! ME THATS WHO!
So THATS why my Romulan with the Lukari Apparatus + Photon Launcher for hard targets does so well in ground combat compared to most of my other characters... need to get ahold of some of those kits though.
The Advanced Temporal Chroniton Dual Pistols would like a word. Best sound and visuals of any weapon. Longer range than most rifles. Three longest-range (35m) firing modes. AoE fire, Expose, and Exploit fire. 250 DPS base damage.
Some good choices but the TR116 combined with Bombadir trait is an honourable mention at least as it has 100% shield penetration so ignores them completely so no borg will ever be able to adapt
It really, really does not actually hold up to performance testing. Slow single target just ain't it. When I can plow through mass crowds and refresh every so often, it just doesnt match whatsoever.
I abuse the covert assault drone on my Romulan engineer, paired with a piercing plasma rifle it's a menace Bit surprised the Thompson didn't make it in here, secondary fire hits up to 15 targets and it bypasses shields, only really falling weak to mirror borg with their ability to adapt to physical and kinetic weapons
Very useful chart. Sad to se the Lobi Jem'Hadar Assault Wide Area Minigun being so low. Its DPS is a bit anemic, but it fires quickly and constantly and hits 3/5 targets at once respectively, making it a nice pairing with the Covert Assault Drone. On a Jem'Hadar engineer toon with Anchor of Gre'Thor and the Nanoenergy Cell Kinetic Capacitor consumable it becomes quite effective as procing additional damage sources. Would love to see this one buffed a little as Jem'Hadar are known to not mess around. And an assault minigun being lower in DPS than the standard JemHadar rifle is quite strange.
Loved the video, but I'm lost on the "Mudd's Alt Fire" column on the spreadsheet. I've watched twice now and I'm not picking up on what this references - surely not the Mudd's Time Device from the Disco rep? If someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. And thanks for all the work, Mara, that looks like it was quite an undertaking!
Yeah I kind of accidentally deleted the segment that explained this while editing - I'll get around to posting a short that explains this. Actually, lemme pin a comment about this.
Hey mara absolutely loved the video very insightful, entertaining and i learned alot. What about the tommy gun? What do you think about it? I use it a lot, and the secondary fire destroys groups not to mention its a tommy gun its retro as fuck 😂😂😂
It's pretty low down the tier list. Even against Borg where it has a niche, it's kind of a low performer. Firmly a low C. The only reason why I wouldn't give it a D is that it has the convenience factor of not having to remod, and even then, the time I save not remodding is time lost not having killed things far, far faster. It's still a very cool gun look and feel wise, and you shouldn't feel bad for wanting to use it. It's also just... not terribly great.
@MaraMakesContent i totally get it and appreciate your feedback im grateful for honesty, too, so thank you. Im looking forward to what else you plan for in the future
*sigh* I was really, REALLY hoping this video would be something different from the usual dps-chaser ramblings. At least your voice is super pretty to listen to ☺️ but seriously, if I hear one more person talk about optimizing the fun out of their "build", I'll eat a phaser.
Engineers aren't horrible for this. 'Engineering Kit Module - Electrical Overcharge' is what makes engineer a good tier 2 gunslinger with multi-target weapon attacks. "To Self and Allies within 30m for 12 sec, Outgoing Weapon Attacks gain: * __ Electrical Damage (100% Shield Penetration) * Disables Weapons for 6 sec * -50% Outgoing Damage with Weapons for 12 sec And counts as a Risian module for the Risian Kit Frame meaning you only need 2 more for the +50% all weapon damage. That means you have space for Covert Assault Drone, Mudd's for cooldown reduction, and 1 other of your choice. Although the bonus is +40% with just 2 modules so you could be more flexible. Vupp's might be the best weapon for this kit module as both primary and secondary are multi-target. [Engineering Kit Module - Anchor of Gre'thor] is good crowd control to pull targets together for Area weapon shots. There is also an interesting build using these modules: Universal Kit Module - Regenerative Invigoration Miracle Worker - Overload Power Cells Engineering - Passive medical Field The overload buffs damage but causes electrical damage, the Passive medical field continually heals that damage, and Regenerative invigoration buffs damage when healed including the passive healing up to 25% total... and buffs the passive healing. Throw in Mudd's, electrical Overcharge, and Covert Assault drone and this is pretty solid. And with Risian's you are still getting a +30% damage boost, so it still beats Herald Kit frames for damage and kit perf.
@@MaraMakesContent I was more interested in the Vup's spreading the Electrical Overcharge with every shot making it an mutti-target disable and damage debuffer.

/jawdrop - no time to comment, I'm off to play with this combo!

TYVM for this compilation. The Elachi hand cannon was not even on my radar until I saw this.
It totally surprised me too. Just remember that it's totally not a pug gun ^_^
I love the channel, I love the presentation and humour, the musical moments, the content and the voice! You have it all and I look forward to more content in the future.
Wow what a beautifully brilliant vid.
This was very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to put all this together. Looking forward to more:)
I got my first lobi weapons thanks to your video! Thanks for testing these weapons!
so good to see you back! Thanks for this one and looking forward to seeing more from you! Yay :)
Yo! Mara!! Welcome!
Subbed for the time u spent putting this together.
Thanks for this. Good to see that someone is studying this. I built for this years ago and still love it. Awesomeness 🤩
2399 phaser rifle and the covert assault drone on any kit heavy rotation is amazing as it keeps going off while casting and does great damage with my low endevour tier.
Thank you for doing all this testing! Compelled me to spend some Lobi during this recent sale XD

Love this.

Piercing plasma is a favorite of mine too, very satisfying to use and it dishes out good damage even without me optimizing much.
Very useful chart.

can u link the build to
Whats the purple dome that pulls the enemies in
Gravitational Juncture
Great video! What is that purple sphere You pull in the enemies? 0.o

hmmm.... can't read the chart in the video. :/
It's in the description
**Facepalm** RUclips's been around for twenty years and you don't know to check the description before commenting? Before whining?
Geezuss.
Can do without all the cussing
Well it's not fucking stopping
Good to know, God bless.
