First stu THANK YOU!! I've been looking for an actual more in depth explanation of the torp traits/very important first traits! I literally couldn't wrap my head ever how ETM works (still cant) but still use it! Thanks!
Remember to keep an eye out for these two officers: Bori Lipto Ariel Tabitha Holmes These are two officers you can use in conjunction that give a 50% chance to reduce cannon fire modes by 10 seconds! They can also be slotted at the same time! This gives you 2 50% chances to reduce time by 10 seconds. I have had 10 second cooldowns numerous times. This makes running a cannons build on ships with restricted seating fun again. Ps, Both increase damage against Elachi as well.
Favorite fire mode, BO3. Constant uptime, actually doubles single target DPS where CRF3 is only a 65% increase to DPS. BO3 also drastically increases how often you proc your weapon procs. Suggestion for a video for you, Could you do a video explaining how cat 1 damage and cat 2 damage actually work? I know how they work, but a ton of people don't understand how the exact mechanics actually function.
If you want to enjoy cannon firing modes without the headache of keeping your targets in front of you I recommend turrets. A turret build won't be the most effective min max build but they can be a lot of whacky fun.
The Romulan Legacy Elite Starter Pack also comes with the T6 Malem warbird as an account unlock, which has Withering Barrage. And at 20 bucks, it’s cheaper than the ship alone would be.
The Klingon Elite Starter Pack's Kor has the same thing as an unlock. But with the Malem, it's console is rather good for upping your torpedoes, especially if you're willing to also buy the Legacy of Romulus Starter pack (Or the upgraded version), you get the Enhanced Projectile Efficiency set that is rather good for adding a lot to things for any projectiles you might also have along with giving 2 bonus ones to play with.
I've been pretty obsessed with finding a non-Boimler's, passive cooldown management. I think I have the core of it, though it would best with a Phaser build. Max Readiness Skills: 20% Prolonged Engagement 2-piece: 7.5% Defensive Drone Guardians: 7.5% Bio-Neural Gel Packs: 7% Chrono-Capacitor Array: 9.4% (Rank 2) Combined, that gives a 51.4% passive cooldown. I'm going to be testing that after work. If I have to use PO, slotting PO 1, instead of the more often recommended PO 2, should provide more than ample cooldown. As for Cannon: Rapid Fire builds, the trait for that is called Go For The Kill and is available from the Legendary Jem'Hadar Attack Ship or one of the two Promo/Lockbox variants. The Legendary ship also has the Vanguard Specialists trait, which extends specialist firing modes: Surgical Strikes, Suppression Barrage, Recursive Shearing, Rerote Reserves and Exceed Rated Limits.
Not sure if you're still working on your cool downs or not. If you are, you are really close with what you have for the majority of your BOFF skills. Adding PO1 will help bridge the missing gap, and should help cover almost all skills that are 45 seconds or less. If you can add 1 copy of Aux to Batt, and run with 3 green quality DOFFs (technicians), almost all of your BOFF skills should be on global. This should only be needed for skills above 45 seconds cool down. And don't forget your skill tree, Engineering, Science, and Tactical Readiness. 2 points in each is enough. Razar.
Also, you can usually get your Mastery on a ship maxed with one or two patrols. grab a higher level teammate and as long as you make a few kills you will reap the benefits of that teammate. mastery is easy peasey.
and also...I have Trays 7 & 8 devoted to my spam bar. and I usually have CSV3in slot 2 and then FAW1 slotted, in slot 9 or 10 on the same tray. Then csv1 in tray 8, somewhere in the middle. I don't use any other Torp spread, so i'm only getting the free one. I am probably missing out some, but i cannot see the icons very well to know when things are active or not. I'm not waiting very long for the torp spreads, and theres always cannons flying (plus FAW's since I usually run cannons with Dyson proton or an omni in the back. If not, FAW is there just to Proc the TS.
When there's a red alert event going on, you can normally get it in a few runs. Tends to be faster than the patrols and gives you more marks of your choice there
Patrols are no fun. Take too long and on every one at severl points all enemys target me way out of their range and usually destroy me at least once before it lets me win. After they destroy me once they become very weak and i mop them up quickly. But before it's like they are immortal all heal and all have effect that shut me down even with my buffs on. Can't affort anything in game so once I get to lvl 65 it gets to hard and I start a new game.
Also I missed the live feed when you're talking about auggie I just want to let you know he will be missed he's one of the only other people besides you I talked to about my issues about joining the fleet and he was very understanding and cool like you are and he even said that he can understand cuz he's got similar issues
Just a month into the game new player any advice on building a tactical shield drain build ? Ive got a justicier cruizer would like get the most out of the micro warp bubble uni console as well
cannon rapid fire what about that? also what about the delta recruit device that reduces cooldown? Also remember withering barrage for ships require you to master them. also on the note of torpedos there's a romulan hyper plasma torpedo that launches 3 torpedos per volley available but it requires tier II in teh romulan reputaiton, however it has a huge AOe blast that if your too close you get hit too. by the DOT plasma effect.
hey stu,i got a question;i got a big problem with auto fire..it just does not work!no mater wich autofiremod i chose, the ship just does one cycle of firing all weapons, and then it stops...what am i doin wrong?its so frustrating...i just startet a free to play account, got a lot of fun,but this problem kills it all....if you got any solution for non working autofire,no matter which autofire in options you chose, pls help!!
I'm still absolutely pissed off that beam fire-at-will is the one firing mode with a longer base cooldown of 20 seconds instead of 15. Fucks up my whole rotation on cruisers, carriers, and dreadnoughts, and I have no idea why they still think FAW is powerful enough to warrant that when cannon scatter volley is better in every way and still has the same 15 second base cooldown.
It's purely developer bias from back when FAW was the meta. It's the same reason why they only begrudingly release Plasma gear and standard procs don't mean anything. It's all a combination of legacy over-correction and a fundamental lack of understanding as to how their own meta works. Auggie and the other DPS record chasers know more about the meta than the developers do. In fact, a lot (maybe all) buffs and debuffs we see, come directly from their feedback. Since many of them hold FAW in contempt, I don't think we'll see a change until it benefits those big spenders.
Informative video, CSV is great if you can pilot well. I guess CRF is out because it is an expensive trait? I like to pair it with preferential targeting, which is also expensive. Perhaps you could do a video focused on BOFF activation (or maybe you have already done so & I missed it)
I use FAW, but if I could get a trait to combine BO and torp spread like I can um...I think its called entwined matrices. but with BO, that would be epic.
Do you have run FAW3? Because I've been thinking about using MW mixed armaments with the gargarian class trait and ceaseless momentum with super weapon ingenuity and preferential targeting
No, but I would recommend pick one firing mode to to focus on an using the highest rank of it. This would also supersede any kind of damage boost abilities. You can still have other types of firing modes at any rank (1,2 or 3) but build around one as you primary.
Is there anyway you wouldn't mind linking me a video to what you do when you're in a sleep before I join I'd like to be up on it I looked in your videos but I must have missed it if not can you recommend from the your gang of three video content creators thanks man I appreciate it I owe you one
I'm curious, were you already skilled in video editting or did you learn along the way. I should've mentioned this before but big kuddo's on your raising numbers on the channel but most especially your increasing professionalism
Are torpedo supposed to be in aft weapons or fore weapons? Where is the best to put phaser and torpedo weapons? Aft or fore? I am still confused. Does it matter? Im new btw.
Still worth it, otheriwse you end up with a few seconds down time on scatter volley, even if you can hit the global cool down. Plus you want to keep the scatter volley 3 up as much as possible. Scatter volley 1 from ETM is just to fill that gap.
Generally speaking that is correct, ETM is for FAW or Torp builds and Superweapon Ingenuity is for overload. These two were not used together on on any of the examples in the vid.
@@MCStu so I'm curious, I been really trying to work with faw on the world razer and don't run a single torpedo for it. So seeing as this is dependent on using one, do you have a alternative to improving it's function slash cooldown for faw.
... Must... get... Gagarin...or... whatever... that Klingon one is...The Quoac' Hafwoaahalkorak P'Tak Stomper or whatever it's name is. Maybe that one... I have plenty of Feddies.
@@marty64thornton There are several cooldown reduction traits you can get from various sources. The ones you get that extend firing modes depend on the firing mode in question. STOWiki has information on this.
hi i play this game too your word's aren't making any Sense too me or my Fleet Sir but i will say this i have enjoyed both star trek games on xbox live and Instagram on on the ipod touch if i get any new Recruit's.
You just don't get a lot out of them anymore. Regent, hit points, resist... from things like the Disco rep 2pc shield and core and others.... just take care of survivability an make shield power a non issue...
Essentially shield and shield power is literally used to power Hull Capacity and Regen on set piece likes the discovery rep items and for increase other subsystems by draining it yourself. Two big easy answers Borg, they take over your shields completely so why have them? 2nd a lot of traits scale your Crit hit or crit damage due to Hull Capacity so you want that Hull Regen over shields since now you've focused on Hull for the Crit like alot of high end DPS players do
In general, I agree with the above. I do, however, also have a build that defies the convention. It focuses on both Drain and Shields. Not anywhere near the highest parser, even among my personal builds, but man is it fun.
Although for this I think you were demonstrating the trait. I love the trait on my torpedo boats, I slot Scatter volley and fire at will to basically let me shoot three consecutive torpedo spreads
It's funny, BFAW is my favorite Beam mode, CRF is (or perhaps was) my favorite Cannon mode. CSV may do more DPS, but it generally looks like your ship is vomiting chicklets. I think Surgical Strikes is actually my favorite firing mode in general, but I really need to work on improving Firing Cycle Haste to get more out of it.
