I know you probably hear this a lot but I really can't thank you enough for all these awesome lessons!! I got my son who's 14 into watching your lessons and now me and him jam together all the time. And spending that time with him means the world to me. So again, Thank you Justin!
About 6 months into play guitar with Justin and come to the point where I am learning the Barre F chord. I'm at the stage now where 4 strings are ringing out and sometimes the high E string. I'm finding now though that I'm getting more benefit out of learning a song that has F in it. Wanted dead or alive is my go to, but I love CCR so I'm adding this to my repertoire. Thanks Justin for everything you do!
John Fogerty wrote some great songs and this is one of my favorites. And his voice took it over the top. At 74 he's still playing mostly it seems on acoustic using standard chords. Never a credence Clearwater revival song I didn't like! Great song, great lesson!
Nice lesson. I'm a big fan of CCR and I hope you cover more of their tunes (especially anything with a John Forgerty guitar solo). Also I was wondering if you have listen to Link Wray (especially Jack the Ripper or Raw-Hide, my two favorites) and would consider doing a lesson on him? His sound is pretty primitive, but he had so much energy in what he did. I might be wrong about this, but there are times when I can hear a Link Wray influence in John's solos. I think there is a lot in what Wray does that would greatly add to a beginners or intermediate guitar players vocabulary.
Great lesson Justin thanks! For the bridge part you mention (I think) it was in open tuning. I don't believe Fogerty has ever used open tuning. Correct me if I'm wrong
Hey man been learning with you for the past few weeks, thank you so much!!! One question I’m able to play the start of the song with my index and middle finger, is that creating bad habits???
In the end of the bridge section I like to add the last two notes of the intro before going back to the song. Might not be in the original recording, but it sounds cool.
Another great lesson Justin. Big CCR fan. Gotta love Fogerty : ) VERY Nice performance. On another note, how can you show how to play other peoples songs on RUclips. I thought copyrights and lawyers would stop guitarists (i think some channels got copyright strikes or had to pull content down in the past) from sharing how to play songs online by now. Does RUclips allow you to make adsense revenue (monetize) on other's songs too? Thanks for the feedback. I'm an aspiring guitar teacher myself and would love to escape the J-O-B myself.
hi. Nice job a usual. I'm looking for chord progression over the solos. Specially in the foo fighters cover with JF. I think there are 2 parts of the solos. Chord progression of the 8 first bars is same as the chorus. But for second part, il don't know if it's Verse or chorus progression. Any idea ? Thanks.
Hi Justin, thanks so much for this lesson! But, could you explain what is the Key of this song. I guess it is in G major, but "F Major" chord is making me confused which does not fit this key??
it is in G and that doesn't mean it could not have 'borrowed' an F while other chords are neatly fit in the key of G | LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Assistant

What flipping tuning is this? I've tried full step down, open d, open g. I've tried every single option my guitar tuner gives me which is over 15 and none of them match the girls g you play
Justin well done. As a Vietnam veteran the song has always meant a lot to me and other vets. Thank you!
Thank you for your service 🙏

Thanks, Justin! Wish to have more lessons stuff by CCR, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac and Waterboys...
Credence wrote and played some awesome music. Thanks for sharing such an iconic song.
Justin's videos are way under appreciated. It's basically because of his videos I'm able to play the guitar at all.
the song a masterpiece in itself and then a masterpiece lesson of the master of guitar teaching
Thanks so much for this easy learning lesson. As you said "Learn by ear" means so much to me to learn to play the guitar at 52 years old.

This song is still a bit out of my league. Still hanging at walk of life 😂. But great song en keep up the good work !
In the end of the bridge section I like to add the last two notes of the intro before going back to the song. Might not be in the original recording, but it sounds cool.

Hey Justin you should totally check out the cover John fogerty did with Dave grohl and foo fighters, it's awesome!
Hey Justin, could you tell us about this guitar?
p.s. would love to see more 70s bands stuff, maybe Deep Purple.
It's made by John Suhr, a very high-end Strat clone.
Cool cool👍🏽
Cool!
Cool.

Hi Justin. What type of guitar pick and thickness are you using to play electric guitar ? thanks
Great lesson. What's your handicap?

Hey why does his fret hand keep lifting off and back down? Is that for effect of just his playing style?
>pick up guitar
>It Ain't Me starts playing
