Just got my hands on the brand new Leica D-LUX 8, also known as the "Baby Q."
How similar and how different is it to the Leica D-Lux 7?
Would you get this over the Ricoh GRIII and Fujifilm X100VI?
Check out this hands on video.

Thank you for taking the time to make and share this. I loved my Type-109 (LX100 variant), can't wait to get this to go with my Q2. Looking forward to more information from your channel.
Thanks for watching and the kind words
So it's still the re-badged and old Lx100 from 2018??
That's what the D-Lux cameras always were... They're not "pure" Leicas
Urus is a rebadged Q8 so does Bentayga and Cayenne. Rebadging isnt something new lmao.
Re-badged is fine , but a Re-badged 6 year old camera is another, it was fine for an iteration or 2 , but , it's too much at this point.
And that's not taking in to acount that there were little changes between lx100 - to LX 100 II
so it's maybe even 10 year old internals .
time to re-vamp
Yes and nothing real has changed outside looks.
Same sensor, same lens.
@@LOLA6ifyable Just being able to buy a zoom compact camera new rather than secondhand is a rare thing nowadays and without downgraded spec. Don't knock it when one company is still trying or there will will just be nothing at all. Panasonic are not interested for sure. Top marks to Leica for at least trying. I really doubt anyone is producing these smaller sensors not designed to be in phone modules or able to spend a penny on a radical body redesign of what is already there. I have a Canon SX70 super zoom which in many ways has lost features over previous models but at least it was still available. Nowadays a downgrade in features in compact models is more likely. Just look at the more compact Fuji rangefinder models from the X-E1 onwards and the models were cut back up to the X-E4 and seemingly altogether disappeared now. There is just no money in cameras and it is a miracle so many companies are still in the game.
So Panasonic is coming with a LX100 iii 😜 ! It’s always the same camera.
New drinking game for most of Bobby's videos..every time he says he can't talk about it!
This is much preferrable compared to the Lumix S9
I agree, but i hoped for a tilt screen.
lumix s9 is a joke, I was excited at first, but closer look at its specs wiped all interest in it
Yes not sure what Panasonic was thinking on some of the specs of lack of features. Also had high hopes
If the pricing is a bit cheaper then it will be more acceptable. For that price I would say consider Sony, Nikon or even sigma
This is a really old and inferior sensor though. The Panasonic one is a lot better.
Reading the hate comments… yep they always show up! Me? I have an Leica M11P, and a Hasselblad 907X CFV 100C. I’ll be adding the cool little D Lux to the camera bag for sure!!!
Haha there were some higher than normal expectations for this camera that when announced didn’t hit the expectations mark, but there is some info that people don’t know yet that I can’t say. I like this more than I thought I would especially with the flash :)
I've used the Dlux typ 109. It was good enough. In Thailand, I saw the pre-order price and the price is close to the used Leica Q. Maybe if you want a Leica look. The used Leica Q is interesting. (IMO)
$1595, it looks like. Cool little camera, but a bit less than the base was hoping for, I think.
Yes I think people expected more but let’s see the results
Not perfect, but the number of views indicate a lot of interest. I used a previous version for work, for years. It was always reliable.
Yes there seems to be a lot of interest. I think this push for smaller full featured cameras is really taking off. Also timing was quite good with the release of the S9 the day before.
You’re the only video I’ve seen covering this camera. It looks great to me. I almost wish they did a regular interchangeable lens version of it to pair with the 15mm 1.7. That would be a true baby q
Yes so far I think so. I think the whole interchangeable aspect would be a bit more expensive in terms of lens designs, mounts etc.
@@btonelli the best part of this for me is it supports DNG. I use M and Ricoh which are both DNG format so this would be a nice convenient thing for me. Also, the threaded shutter is just a very small thing but I love it for the feel of operation
The Lumix GX9 is probably what you want. I have one paired with the 15mmf/1.7. Works great.
@@chrishuang8763 I actually have a GX80. It’s a little beast and still gets used regularly.
@@btonelli Not sure how an interchangeable lens would be more expensive seeing that it wouldn't include the lens..... Anyways it's probably not going to happen since Leica have never released a M4/3 interchangeable camera and I don't see that changing
I just checked B&H Photo in NYC and they have the D-Lux 8 listed for $1595 with a July 2nd ship date Bobby.
Yep
I am still using D-lux5 and pretty satisfy about the variable len distance and features for realistic street shot
Still a solid camera
Pretty good. Maybe talk about dust in the sensor with some use in street photography?
I have had the d lux 109 and the d lux 7. I Will wait to see the full Specs before buying.
I've been hoping this would come soon! I'm so glad that I waited before buying a used D-Lux 7. LOVE how it looks like a Q, cannot wait to get one of these!!!
It’s beautiful in person
From what I've read today, I'll be staying with my DL7. Certainly not worth upgrading from the current specs.
@@rosvw3517 makes sense. I wonder if they at lease upgraded the sensor or EVF. They're being very vague on detailed specs on their website.
Thanks for the preview. I'm just wondering why the D-LUX 8 hasn't been given to any of the major camera reviewers (dpreview, PetaPixel, Three Blind Men and an Elephant, Omar Gonzalez, etc.?)
Thanks for watching.
I can only speak to my knowledge from Leica.
They did not want a full review or in depth preview until the camera goes on sale in July. As some firmware isn’t final and not all the details are available. So for many of these channels it doesn’t really do much for them.
I had the camera for testing and asked if I can do a preview video and was told I can but please don’t disclose any additional info that isn’t in the press release as per Leica’s request.
Some channels decided to just say whatever and well that’s their decision. Mine is to adhere to NDA’s
I own a Fujifilm X100S purchased new in 2014, when they came out. I was looking to purchase a X100VI, and to sell my X100S on eBay. I made contact with Fujifilm in New-Jersey, and told them I wanted to send the camera for a cleanup and full inspection. I was told over the phone to fill in the form online, and to send a hard copy with the camera to the repair center.
Not even one week after, Fujifilm returned the camera untouched, with a laconic "out of warranty" no spares. I immediately decided to pass on my intention to purchase a X100VI, and started to look for alternatives.
Of course the Leica Q, Q2, Q3 were tempting. But here in the USA, used Q's sell for more than their price when they were new....
I made up my mind, I am going to purchase a D-Lux 8 as soon as they become available.
Just get a old LUMIX LX100 which this camera is based off of and save $1000
@@franky3fingers337 It looks like the LX100 is no longer sold by Panasonic. I checked.
I suspect you will miss your Fujifilm X100S, sure I do. I have had not a LX100 nor the Leica version (I understand raw's are the same), but I had a Fujifilm X100S and comparing the photos with photos taken with the Panasonic/Leica the latter feels closer to small sensor point and shoots than to the output from m43 cameras, probably because the zoom lens is digitally corrected rather than optically corrected. The size of the LX100 (I saw one physically) isn't that far away from the Fujifilm X100S, and its short zoom gets dust, which happens when the lens has to move, it happens to my Sigma DP2, to my point and shoots with zoom lenses, but not to my Fujifilm X100S. I am not trying to convince you, rather I am a bit puzzled by your choice as I don't see any advantage, not even artistically as I recall even reviewers of the first Panasonic LX100 said that they had more fun with the small sensor Fujifilm X30.
@@ReinoldFZ Thank you for the advice. To be completely open, my first choice is a Leica Q, which I think is more inline with what I want to do, what I have done with my X100S.
Now I hit a snag when I looked for a Q; even those are more expensive than a brand new 100VI. The Q3 is unavailable and when I saw the possibility to get a D-Lux 8, then I jumped at the opportunity.
As I am typing this, I have feelers for a used Q at a decent price. I am very opinionated as to what should be the price of used goods, and certainly not above that of a new product.
I could always get a D-Lux 8 in the meantime, and if I don't like it, I can sell it. At least, I will get one. The 100S struggle a lot in terms of dynamic range. I live in Texas, and we have those crazy weather events. I would also favor a full frame sensor, if given the opportunity. I know, the D-Lux 8 is not.
@@p6x2 good luck! I live in Peru, in the desert. I love the colors but the dynamic range indeed suffers, I bracket the exposure when needed and merge the JPEGs in Affinity Photo using the Focus Stack option, it gets the photo with an increased dynamic range without looking HDR. Said that indeed a better investment would be a camera more capable in dynamic range and not editing at all.
It doesn't use the sensor of the G9II, which I think probably means there wont be a lumix lx100 iii from Panasonic.
Almost everybody knows this is a Panasonic with Leica's firmware. If this has a few film simulation curves, it might take some thunder from the Fuji X. But Fuji's hybrid viewfinder is just too good. Support of DNG format is a big welcome. I also like the cleaner look on the back. BUT, why not just get a used Q or Q2 for a bit more money if you want a true Leica?
Honest Question: did the D-Lux series ever have “Leica Camera Wetzlar Germany” on it before?
From my understanding (and I can be wrong here) Leica doesn’t put that on any camera. Perhaps there is more to this camera than just calling it a Panasonic in Leica clothing. And the truth is I honestly don’t know at this point in time due to limited info. But food for thought
Thanks for the quick overview! To be honest, I was hoping for a CL camera with a full frame sensor and the same L mount system. This probably shuts the door on that possibility.
Yeah the D-Lux has always been about compactness and integrated lenses. Always good to hope though for something like that
I wonder why they shut down APS-C.
@@victoriankambe3070 perhaps the market isn’t there for them. With R&D and costs maybe it just made sense to stick with Full Frame?
1600 USD. Honestly shocked how affordable it is relatively speaking. I could def see GR and Fuji photographers taking a second look at this.
I can't agree with you, inasmuch as the Fuji XT50 is a far better equipped camera from the Leica specs we've seen today and not much more money. I'll be keeping my DL7 that I like and probably picking up the XT50. I've held off buying the Fuji until Leica announced this one, but good grief, underwhelming is the only word I can come up with for this "upgrade."
Thanks Bobby.
And the Q3 has the tilting screen...
Sometimes I feel the main 3 members of the alliance are not fully using the full potential of this alliance. Pretty sure people will feel like they could do more with the D-Lux 8, like the full sensor size with pdaf behind the lens, a tilting screen like the X100VI, a double ISO/SS dial like the X100VI. Lumix could bring a FF rangefinder style with tilting EVF like the GX8, a S7?
The contemporary sigma primes with aperture ring could be nice on lumix L mount rangefinder.
Yes hence why I said it’s more like a Q2 and Q :)
Yes sometimes the alliance intrigues me on how they work together but also how separate they are at times.
Yes you are right... I mentioned the Q3 screen to figure out why they didn't think about making the D-Lux 8 screen tilting as well. This is an interesting compact and the mini Q design is awesome. Just make it a little bigger for the screen and the full M43 sensor behind the lens.
The alliance probably needs to sit down and defines who does what to conquer more segments of the market... sport cameras, hybrid video photo cameras, vloggers cameras, videos centric cameras, luxury cameras. Sigma needs to stop being weird with their design. Panasonic was a big innovater, other makers are kind copying their innovations now. The ozo audio system was a great idea but the G100 did not have IBIS and headphones jacks or pdaf sensor. The alliance is sleeping. Sigma is ok being a lens maker, Leica is selling luxury products, but what's happening with Panasonic?
@@pgulysse1 good question on the alliance aspect. Honestly I’m not sure.
I think with this enhanced L2 alliance with Leica and Panasonic we won’t be seeing much overlap between the two companies when it comes to cameras. This was a problem I feel with the S1R and SL2. The S1R had more features, similar specs at a third of the price. This affected the SL2 for sure. Of course some buyers will only want Leica so there is that part of it, but the general consumer will look at the less expensive option. Also Panasonic launched the S series of cameras too expensive with minimal lenses. Hard ask for many to explore the L mount with only a few options to choose from. As for Sigma, lenses they are really doing some good stuff
The body is defo cool , like a mini Q3 but having looked up the specs , they are pretty disapointing.
Not sure what this is being pitched as really , surely with the specs its gonna perform worse than the X100 line and Richoh GR's.
Will hold off final judgment but not expecting a lot from image quality.
Hey @Bobby! What happened to the L-Mount 50mm lens shootout video? Lumix 1.4 vs Leica 1.4 vs Sigma 1.2? Been waiting on it anxiously. Hope to see it soon.
I got the 50 1.2 back and the Lumix but I don’t have access to the 50 1.4 currently
Is it true that this camera series is made by Panasonic?
yep. literally a rebadged lx100
It’s me or this is just DLux 7 re-skinned?
it appears to have the new 25 megapixel sensor in it, but shows as 22 due to the multi aspect ratio
I had the Panasonic version of the 7 and I would agree with the comment- it does seem like the 7 with the skin of a Q and shooting in DNG. If so, I don’t see the point of it.
There is more to it but can’t comment on details as of now
@@ericrjennings 17MPix from 21Mpix so NO
@@costagf as I read they are mistaken on the 21MP sensor? They can’t verify yet if its really 21MP or some like that idk
Has the same awesome sensor from the D-Lux 7 which is still really good. Gonna be a great little camera
Looking forward to trying it more
and stil no PDAF...
@@renessda5519 performance will only be discussed at a later date
The D-Lux 7 was not just a rebaged Lumix LX100 II, it feels different in our hands and, most of all, it gives different and much better results. If the D-Lux 8 will be just a D-Lux 7 refresh, what's the big problem? It will be a better camera over a already high standard equipment, no doubt an excellent choice for all of us which are looking for this kind of camera, that guarantees high quality results. But maybe there will be more than just design development. Despite all the bad moods Leica frees up in some minds and personalities, what ever they do is always very good quality and guarantees the results we were looking for.
Well said 👍
Unfortunately, this a a Lumix LX100II from 2018 on the inside with the exact same lens.. What a rip-off.
There are a number of differences that will come out in time. As I mentioned I’m a bit limited on what I can say
@@btonelli Then is LEICA doing itself a favor limiting this info? Perhaps I am seeing much unnecessary hate and add to it.
It is always the same marketing issue; they have to be careful with what they propose, because they do not want to eat into the prospect of those who would normally purchase a Q3. I think Leica is clearly targeting the incredible success of the Fujifilm X100 family. This camera has been a superlative token, so much that people are paying more than the retail price to get one! since Fujifilm copied the Leica concept, it is only fair that Leica copied Fujifilm with the D-Lux 8. I am sold, no matter what the review is. My X100S is still going strong, but it has a 10-year-old autofocus system, which by today' standard, is limiting.
A four thirds type sensor with an output of 17 MP without image-stabilization in 2024 - really????? Save your money & energy ... Bobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HmmI wish I could say more but need to wait 😊
I’d never normally be interested but this little beauty looks fab.
Same here. This was never on my radar till I tried it
@@btonelli- I get why people diss Leica but the brand expectation is so high I doubt they will release anything less than exceptional. Looking forward to the full review. Cheers.
@@davesaunders59 thanks Dave. There will always be those that like or dislike for whatever reason. Leica makes good cameras and has a strong history to back them up.
Weather sealing??? Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching
Hoping that you will release the full review soon !
Yes I’m getting the camera back this week with the accessories to show
@@btonelli great !
This has to mean a LX100 III might be coming soon also
wish it had the 25 phase detect sensor from the g9ii, but pretty cool
We need more camera's like this. Hopefully it will be weather sealed. I would use a camera like this over the Fuji X-100's and GR's. I would choose this over the Lumix S9 as well.
I agree. Smaller more powerful cameras is a good thing
LX100 II again?
6 years old tech, but damn that thing is beautiful. The RX100VI and the G5X II might get a new sister.
Please tell me this isn’t the same 7 year old sensor?
I hope not... surely it will have phase detect AF...
Will you be releasing more info on the D-Lux 8 soon - most importantly - does it have Leica Looks???
@@JohanKhoo yes I will be with the accessories.
Boom! Great first imperssions!
Thanks!!
I'm just hoping the D-Lux 8 Monochrom coming, because I'd be tempted by one of those.
That would be cool but not sure how many would buy that
It might look good.....but I'm interested in the picture quality in a camera..!! Have you taken a picture yet..?
Yes I have but I can only comment on image quality and performance closer to launch.
@@btonelli arhh OK....embargo till launch 👍👍😀 Any hints....are you impressed 🤔🤔
Always enjoy your take, Bobby! 📸💯🎯
Thank you 🙏 more to come on this in July
I don’t know how much I agree with the assessment that it looks like a Q camera. It really doesn’t look that much different from the DLUX7(/LX100II without the grip). Maybe if Leica had ditched the zoom lens and put in an APSC fixed 28mm equivalent, that would have given me Q vibes. A cropped version of their excellent 60mp sensor would have maybe given around 40mp, that would have been really interesting in my opinion.
exactly!
So nice. I had a Panasonic LX100 (the first version) and used it as my daily driver for a little over a year. One of my favorite cameras ever (even that little flash). This looks like a polished version of that Panasonic. Ugh…. I just wish I could own every camera, is that too much to ask?! :)
Always great videos!
The LX100 is a solid camera. This is definitely a well made camera. Really like the build and design.
I too wish I could own every camera haha
Thanks for watching
Many of Leica's cameras are cool, but the price is dead against Sony's, Nikon's and Canon's cameras, which give you equivalent if not better.
Depends on your needs. All watches tell time, but people pay more for a Patek or AP than a Seiko :)
@@btonelliYou forgot to mention Grand Seiko Bobby 😊
Does it come equipped with fast phase detection autofocus ,subject detection, tilt touch screen, sharp viewfinder, image stabilization , does the lens take sharp photos with beautiful image quality?
One of those questions was answered in the video:)
amazing the D-Lux 8 has a full hot shoe
and the Lumix S9 does not
Yes that was about surprising on the S9
The big question I have is how does this differ from the Panasonic LX100 II.
It says Leica on it.
@@carlosmcse LOL, well, ok sure. You know what I mean :-)
Badass TLM-107. Neumann is definitely the "Leica of Microphones". I have a huge collection of Neumann mics and a few Leica bodies and glass
Thanks 🙏 love this mic
how is the autofocus? Is it as bad as the Q3?
It's so sad that is the same old m43 sensor
Not sure if it’s the same sensor or not. Limited info right now
@@btonelli I was crossing my fingers for a new sensor so maybe Panasonic or Olympus would develop new m43 cameras, but that seems to be a stretch.
@@btonelli More of a shame they could not redesign it so the lens actually covers the 4/3 sensor... if as per the video it is 17MP still so it is a crop of a 21MP sensor, if my math is right (may not be) but at 17MP you are losing 30% of the sensor
Perhaps so but I can’t confirm any tech specs right now. Sorry about that
It's literally a D Lux 7 with minimal upgrades. Plain disappointment
Hopefully this sensor has phase detect AF. I was hoping the 25 MP sensor from the G9 II.
wow I was looking for this one
damn its another pana rebranding of LX series but with their own casing this time. (probably because panasonic dont produce lx100 II anymore they just recycle the internal)
looks like they will also carry over the default too ... futur dust collector again
Hmm I wouldn’t make too many assumptions just yet. More to come in July
Great looking camera but why not use a mechanical zoom like the X30? That would be a great implementation.
Good point. The LX100 II zoom has ADHD. Jittery. Nevous. Jumps around a notch with the slightest touch. Slow. Here was a chance to improve things by going manual on the zoom.
@@richardbresden8474 I can’t talk about performance yet. More will come in July
love to see this multi-aspect sensor again 🤩
Panasonic LX100ii + updated af system. I guess I'll wait for the LX100 iii
I wonder if it will draw dust onto the sensor like previous iterations of this camera.
It's a D-Lux 7 minus 3-4 buttons and the navigation. Same sensor, same lens.
I wish they would just make a real M43 ILC camera, maybe based on the Lumix G9ii. I have a bunch of the Leica branded M43 lenses and would like to put them on a Leica camera with menus like my SL2.
I sold the old version because dust got on the sensor .... sth. was pretty common with the camera. Have they solved the dust problem? If not why should anyone buy this camera then?
Maybe they added phase detection on the sensor this time, and that’s the difference ?
Not able to comment on performance at this time
So tempting!
Called Wetzlar, ordered one. I'm no. 2 in whole Germany :)
Congrats!
So Leica is releasing the d-lux 7 again in a new case?
Can’t comment on details until July
My dream camera! Thanks for the video Bobby ❤
Really??? Wow!
ARGHHHHH! It's GORGEOUS!! I miss my M6 like mad, and my year-old Ricoh GRD is beginning to show its age, I'm almost 60 and I haven't got enough money for a midlife crisis car, but I could now in god knows how many years, I could finally afford a new Leica! Please Bobby, could you leak the dimension specifications (W x L x D), and perhaps the overall weight?
Hi! I’m sorry I can’t disclose any particular info until July. It feels good in the hands though!
Bobby, thanks for the heads up on this new Leica gem!! Something you probably can't mention is IBIS? Regardless of yes/no on IBIS, like others have said, this looks to be a better choice than the S9 and a competitor to the X100VI. Plus the Leica ergos are stellar!! I already have it bookmarked from B&H.
Thanks for watching. Can’t get into anymore specs at this time. I’ll also have a link to B&H photo as well for those that are interested

@@btonelli no problem. I'll just wait for your formal review.
BTW the baby Q design is beautiful.
Agree!
Micro four thirds sensor in 2024! At least have it with APS-C sensor. Nah I'd keep my X100VI
Yeah not sure the reason behind that
@@btonelli The reason is because they are just rehousing an LX100 II which they had already did as D-LUX 7.... when was the last time there was not a direct Panasonic equivalent to a D-LUX? D-LUX 5 was a rehoused Lumix LX7 for example.
Obviously some tech is shared but does that make it less than? Leica doesn’t make electronics anyways so many of their modern cameras use tech from other sources. It’s about the entire package I feel, but that’s just my take on it
I was hoping I could end my X100VI pre-order hell, but the Lumix S9 is just ridiculous and this being micro 4/3, no tilt on the screen, zoom lens. Nah. At least it has an EVF and a flash.
First time visitor. How were able to get one so early after a press release ?
I have a pre-production model for early review. I only have it for a short time.
This is basically a re-housed Panasonic Lumix LX100 with a slightly higher resolution (21mp over the 16mp of LX100). :)
Does it have a mechanic shutter?
Leica foto app is one of the best? Fast transfer rate? I have M11, Q3 and SL3 and the app doesnt work consistently. If i transfer DNG files the connection will crash. It is so unstable that Leica recommends using a cable to connect to my iphone. Comparing the leica app with Nikon and Sony (which I own) it is child's play.
I’ve had good success with the app
He might be comparing it with fuji's app😂
@@kaiyinchung6727 i think Fuji is more reliable. At least when I use it with my GFX 50s mk2 i had no issues.. leica app is always a hail mary.
@@Reddotshutter yeah... but still miles behind sony or nikon, or maybe is just because of my XPro 3 (transfer photos from camera to phone / tablet via app just take so.... slow )
Fuji’s app is not as good as the Fotos app.
To get the Leica look you need a longer focal length Leica lens on an M body.
Is it weather sealed though? This model suffered heavily from dust on the sensor…
This is just the same as the Lumix LX100 that I have for some 10 years and the D-Lux type 109 from the same date. That is what Panasonic should have done (but full frame) instead of the S9.
Probably ISO performance similar/worse than a 1" Sensor from 2016 (Sony RX100V) I doubt they used latest tech M4/3 sensor and processing. PLUS NO TILT SCREEN, No visible exposure compensation unless the dial top left is it but unmarked. If all this is true also expect Subpar focusing and video for 2024. Hope I'm very wrong and it has new sensor technology buy it's NOT a 4/3 sensor because it's using less sensor area. Feels like a cash grab using old technology and a waste of a pretty Pana Leica design.
My take is, this is a minor upgrade to the D-Lux 7 with a few new features, who's sole purpose is to satisfy the European Union's USB-C mandate. Much like what OM Systems did with the Tough TG-7. Add a couple of minor features and a USB-C port and call it a new camera.
Can’t say much more than what I put in the video at this time but well…full review coming in time
Do you know if that flash works on the Q?
Don’t have that info. More will be discussed after July
Ummm congrats on being literally the only video on this thing
Thanks. I’m extremely limited on what I can discuss.
Btw awesome vid on the S9!
Maybe the S9 crashed, exploded, and burned so the D-Lux 8 could jog at a decent pace.

Curious about what’s the video spec of this after the Q2
Can’t say too much for now
@@btonelli 🤭

Why does Leica keep rebranding a Panasonic with older technology? Because they can.
Leica and Panasonic have had a long standing relationship. Over the last few years though you are seeing some definitive lines being drawn to separate the products more. I think some may be a bit more surprised by the D-Lux 8 vs previous versions
Thanks for the review...is the zoom manual, and is there any noticeable shutter lag?
No the zoom isn’t manual.

Is it much different than the 109?
€1590,- here. Ideal for the 5cm x 8cm instagram ‘stamps’. Not for serious photography. Please note this. It could be very well all you do in the photography department.
You mean this camera isn’t for serious photography?
Made in Germany?
seen in the video Made in china ... see time code :2:42
@@waltertan4508 so not a real Leica. What is the point?
@ilanhoward so that more people can enjoy the Leica brand, Leica design, Leica concept? I can't afford a Q2 or Q3 ... but I do appreciate the design concept and thinking. this brings me a tad closer?
How is it different than D-Lux7 ?
Sorry can’t disclose any more info at this time
I understand the idea behind this, but a Leica Q can be found for 2k used all over. This would be the same price.
Also you could get a 15mm f1.7 and a small Panasonic body and you’d have a better IQ camera more similar to a Q.
This video is a bad attempt to compare two totally different cameras in an attempt for sales
I don't know. This is quite high price for M4/3 with the same old dust issue that D-Lux 7 had which is a dealbreaker in my opinion. I can't see anything in it that would be better than let's say Fuji X-E4.
It’s sooo beautiful.
