So what was the problem the rely or the pump????
The OBD tests cannot complete if the fuel sender unit is bad because the system requires there be 1/3 - 3/4 tank of fuel in order for the tests to finish running. A bad fuel sender unit causes the fuel gauge level to fluctuate all over the place and therefore, prevents the tests from being able to run. It's a real bitch too because the fuel sender unit is a part of the fuel pump, meaning the whole pump must be replaced, which requires dropping the fuel tank (or removing the bed and doing it from up-top) which takes quite a bit of time and gets awfully costly. Hope this helps.
After I the air injection sytem was restore , run the monitor, my understood is the eval monitor is one of the very dependent of temperature and fuel level because they will pressurize the gas tank and they need to know how much volume of space is there to anticipate the amount of time is projected base on volume

no I do not have it, I just worked on that vehicle
Joel are located in Southern Calif? My secondary Air monitor will not set ready for smog. My scan tool shows no codes or check engine light. Everybody i talk to just say to cold start your car 2-3 minutes every morning and it will set ready. Been 2 1/2 weeks now and it's still not ready. Any suggestions? Thanks
@@williamlewis4379 this sytem does not run the monitor on cold start, the way how they run the air injection tests is when cruising about 45 to 55 mph steady the ecm activates the air injection sytem and monitor the response of the 02 sensors. send me an email with the full information of the vehicle to send you specific criteria

Joel Navarro trying to smog, monitor says sec air and cat mom, has brand new cat driven about 300 miles, al shop say to drive it.

for air injeccion pay attention to vehicle speed and time I mention here
for air injection , warm up vehicle complete , drive at steady 45 mph for 3 to 5 minutes, than back to idle , thotle closed, check monitor if not complete repeat steps.
for cat monitor , vehicle warm, accelerate to 55 mph, maintaining that spees for 10 minutes, decelertate to idle, with the brake pedal depress on for 2 minutes , do not turn off vehicle check for monitor status if not ready repeat steps
