@@executiveinvestmentsthat is not true at all. Many engines failed due to rods giving out. Anything passed 800 HP on the 720s requires upgraded components. The engine is pretty solid if left stock. McLaren did a great job building these cars and cannot imagine adding more power to mine. That being said, Calvo is working on a full billet example right now and excited to see what he and Collin can come up with.
@@kinosgarage you are as clueless as they come. This motor was built for 1000hp+ by mclaren. This is a full blown race motor. Just a simple tune and exhaust gets these cars in the 900whp+ range. Tons of research has been done and tons of guys running 900whp+ with hundreds and even over a thousand pulls with zero problems. IT’s recommended to stay below 1200whp so you won’t have a problem. Plenty of cars running well over 800 hp with zero issues. If you believe forged rods can only handle 800hp then you really need to stay from cars because that’s the dumbest comment made on RUclips. Cast rods can handle 800hp. If you don’t know what ur talking about, don’t make a comment.
@@kinosgarage go ask M engineering. They haven’t had a single motor fail after their tune. Stop spewing garbage. Many engine failures 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. Just can’t fix stupid.

Congratulations on your 10 thousand mile engine . That is when you will be completely rebuilding it , that is, if the engine even lasts that long . A old racing motto for you ... If you're going to rock it then stock it as close to factory new as possible. For me all you're stating is you have got more money than god. I think god would spend his money with greater wisdom . Have fun !
