    Awesome video! I've never seen the use of plumbers putty around the wax seal before, pretty cool.

    Why did He use a test Flange? I guess that's what was available.

      That’s just what the boss gave me .. they had new flooring put down and painters, so we went with the knockout version to keep the drain safe during this entire process

    Nice, what bolts are you using?

      Thanks 👍 so bolts actually come standard with every American Standard Cadet toilet .. I wish they sold them separately

    What is the purpose of the plumber's putty around the wax ring, being a plumber?

    • @theplumberlorian
      @theplumberlorian  10 месяцев назад

      It’s a trick an old school plumber showed me .. helps keep the wax ring from shifting during the install, and also helps keep the integrity of the wax seal longer (in theory)

      @@TheKingsComingAlefTav this tip is really only needed for thin wax rings

    How did you seal after screws? I used silicone on the inside of the toilet and now it smells bad. I guess the silicone takes forever to dry when it is added inside the toilet. I did it so that the silicone wouldn’t be messy and invisible or not visible when it was on a cement tile floor it’s on they’re pretty tight but it smells bad.

      Use a wax ring or a wax alternative to make the seal on the toilet flange / toilet outlet
