I did the same thing on my 2020 7.3....Ordered the tremor valance, wheel lip moldings, and steps...and then ordered a 3" Carli level which came with their shocks, and bunch of other stuff. Changed the rear F250 2" block to a F350 3.25" block and she Rides way way better than stock, and much better than my buddys stock tremor with the 18's. I then went and got 37x12.5x20's on a 9" wheel with the right offset...Not really sticking out, looks perfect with just a slight rake, and rides phenomenal. I want to get a 22 or 23, but really like the way this trucks and drives its tough to sell. Good luck...keep up the mods
Thanks for the comment! Sounds like a really sweet ride! I'm thinking of a 1.5/2 inch but my only hesitancy with leveling is the rake when I'm towing. We tow a fair amount, just don't want the truck to look like it's squatting too much going down the road on these long rides
Awesome video. I am waiting on a 22 F350 6.7 Tremor here in MN, production next month!! These are incredible trucks. All you need now is a carli suspension and some meaty tires! Congrats bud and ENJOY!!!
Thanks for making a video…..but if I could….not sure what the weather was where you’re at (looked ok thru the open door) but the dark garage with the black air damns made it hard to see the actual visual ‘improvement’. Maybe open the door, show it outside so there is more light, etc.
I take those off all my trucks on day 1. They look like crap and they are just going to get ripped off at the first mud hole/snow drift. Never thought about replacing with a shorter version of cutting it down... I might try cutting the stock one down on my next truck.
Finally another guy who doesn’t like the look of that black thing on under the Chin am a Tremor guy but If I order a regular super-duty I will have them remove it at dealer just for the cosmetic.
What are those brackets for that you took off. Also have a 22 F350 and couldn’t figure those out. Also ice, snow, brush rip that big valence off anyway so good call taking it off ahead of time.
Some people call those "Prius pushers"... based on what I've read, I believe the purpose is to help slow/prevent the truck from going over obstacles in the event of a collision.
I've read conflicting information with regards to the purpose of the air dam...everything from: 1. Helps fuel economy by directing air around the truck rather than under...2. Hides the "Prius catchers"....3. Improves cooling by creating negative pressure under the vehicle....4. Protects undercarriage from debris. The item I would be most concerned with would be the cooling like you mentioned...but I have a feeling the cooling system on that truck is not relying in that cheap air dam, but rather the volume of the radiators and size of the cooling fan. I have not noticed any difference in Temps one way vs the other...but I also only had a few hundred miles on the truck prior to the swap.
Yeah, I put the 2wd on mine…Looks way better, no change to MPG! If you think about it, why would the Tremor come with the smaller Vallance and all other F250 4X’s not? Basically same build…
I agree - the engineers design for function. If you're not working the truck, then no big deal ...but when pulling loads (I do), it's good to have as much cooling as possible. In fact, I took the flimsy license bracket off the front to allow more air to the radiator area. I really like my truck ('20 F350 Lariat PS 4x4) even with the "black beard" up front. Good video! I must admit that your truck looks good after the change though.
Thanks for the comment! I'm kind of interested to know if there would be a significant difference in cooling...I agree that taking the license plate off would increase airflow and that in itself would help...but not sold the front valance makes a significant difference...I think it's more to cover the "Prius pushers". The two-weel drive models have a higher tow capacity and are used for hauling by many...they come through with a shorter valance, and I do not believe the front rake is as significant a difference as the differences between the valances (if you were to consider the "x inches clearance" argument)...definitely would be a good comparison for someone to do. On a side note, I did tow our 40' toy hauler and Temps stayed good...averaged 12 mpg as well which was an improvement over my 2018!
With those automatic steps that fold up and down have you noticed any rock chips around that area I would like to order a new truck with those steps they seem super sweet but worried when they’re folded up that it would allow more rocks and stuff to hit the body panels just wondering if you see anything like that or drive on gravel roads type deal with the truck nice truck!
Thanks for watching and the comment! I can't say I've noticed any chips along the side. I do have the factory mud flaps which help a bit though. I would highly recommend the power deployable running boards...second truck with them. I think it gives the truck a nice clean look.
If you decide to do a leveling kit go with Bilstein. They are by far IMHO the standard that all other suspension companies strive far. Truck look great! 👌
Have same truck on order in rapid red here in Ma also platinum f350 with 7.3. Do you think your fisher plow mount will fit under it or will you have to trim the valance. I already have the tremor valance and will be putting on my fisher XV2 on my new truck if it ever gets here.
You won't be disappointed! The new display and updated sync is awesome! I don't think you should have to trim the valence, but I can't say with 100% certainty (I don't recall the distance they fell below the bumper). The bottom of the valance is a little less than 2" measured from the bottom of the bumper where the mounts would fall. I won't be setting this truck up with a plow.
i wanted a white 2022 f-350 with black leather interior but don't want the color match bumpers (platinum) i have a 2022 f-350 KR but don't care for the brown interior i'm guessing the lariat is the only truck i can get with black interior star white with chrome bumpers??
I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the color matched bumpers or the huge badge the platinums have on the tailgates. I like the chrome bumpers, but don't get the chrome package because I prefer the painted tow hooks and mirror caps. Guess I'm pretty picky haha. I think a well loaded lariat would give you what you want.
What specifically is gained with this mod beyond minor mileage? Was in mostly for the look? What is lost with this mod? Does a truck end up with tons of crap that would otherwise bounce off the large air dam stuck to the under belly? I don't know the answers. Just curious for my 2017. Thanks
The purpose of this mod was appearance. I am not sure it there is any significant impact to fuel economy or cooling as some others have mentioned. I will report back regarding the undercarriage...I typically undercoat my trucks 1 to 2 times a year, so I will have a good point of reference for comparison.
@@theroyboys2 Thanks. Agreed. It's a bulky object I noticed when shopping and stare at more the longer I own it. I figured it was some legal height requirement that made them hang it that way.

I’m not touching the back end unless I decide it looks too high in the front, but so far it seems good, so I’ll probably leave it alone.
