Ingredients Needed: (For the exact recipe you saw me do, adjust for amounts if you make more)
- 2 x 1/4 pound + 80/20 patties (burger shaped into round balls for smashing)
- Burger Bun
- 8 oz of Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/14 teaspoon Parmesan Cheese
- 1 1/4 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- Softened Butter
- Garlic Salt (for burger patties)
- Pepperoni Slices
- Mozzarella Cheese Slices (I used 4-5 to make the cheese skirt)

@@EverydayBBQ Ty. It's soo good. I only grind when cooking on grill which friends and I do even in winter on ice. Lol. Couple of friends add mayo and A1 lol. I did have a bite and was good.

When growing up we had a local pizza joint called Tony's pizza, not to be confused with the frozen pizza company. They had pizza burgers on their menu, and I absolutely loved them! It was always a hard decision on if I was ordering pizza, or the pizza burger. I may just have to give this a go Mike! I sure miss those burgers. You have inspired me brother! I could almost taste it!

I did a chicken parmigiana sandwich with Uncle Don around 2-3 years ago. It’s in my video list. I can do a grilled version though.

1) Make 2 grilled cheese sandwiches; Set aside.
2) Grill up a good size patty, or make it a double.
3) Use those sandwiches you made prior... FOR THE BUNS!! 😍

This was an amazing looking burger! Smash burgers are the best…especially with crispy edges. The pepperoni on the cheese worked out! Maybe you could do a mushroom burger like this….with sliced mushrooms, along with some onions & peppers, on top of the cheese.🍔😋

That looks to be WAY gorgeous. You've taken the two greatest food groups (Pizza & Burgers) and brought them together. I've had Pizza Burgers before but can't locate the ones my folks brought home from the butcher shop decades ago and the few I have had since weren't in the same league. I'm going to give this one a shot, it appears to be something of a MUST. It looks fantabulous! Bet it tasted even better.
Taste was off the charts! I didn’t think it was very photogenic but wow did it taste good!
I'm a big fan of what happens to cheese when it cooks up directly on the cast iron and gets crispy. So tasty!

I go grocery shopping monday, so I'll be picking up the few ingredients I need that I don't have on hand today or I'd already be trying it. I love the parm in the sauce idea. I wouldn't have thought of that. My mouth is watering.
I don't have a blackstone, but I do have a SnS kettle and their Plancha so I can make it work. Maybe with a little added smokiness.

Since you like doing burgers so much here's an idea for you to try that was given to me from the secretary at the dialysis center I go to. Really simple...
Grind up some lebanon bologna don't need to add any other seasonings, no salt, no pepper, nothing. Make your patties, grill them up. These are really great on charcoal to get that char/smokey flavor. Then dress it however you like. I like mine with some melty white american cheese and mustard on a toasted bun. Delicious.
Now, I'm not sure if lebanon bologna is available nationwide or if it's a regional thing? Around here my favorite brand is Kunzler. They make a sweet & a regular. I use the regular. And I just buy a couple big chunks from the deli, bring it home & grind it up myself. It already has plenty of salt in it so no more is needed and the fat ratio is perfect so they hold together well. The flavor is awesome with a bit of smoke from the grill. I don't expect another video, don't wanna be greedy, lol. But I do hope you try it if you get hungry for something a little different than a beef burger, they're so good and a nice change from a plain beef burger. I think you might really like it. Yeah, I'm not sure if the knuzler brand is available nationwide or not. Or if lebanon (not to be confused with regular bologna) bologna in general is everywhere. It could be a Pennsylvania Dutch thing? I'm really not sure. But ground up and made into burgers it sure is delicious. I'm sure any brand would be fine, I just wouldn't use the sweet kind. There's also a brand called Seltzer lebanon bologna (available on Amazon). I'm just partial to kunzler since it's made very close to where I live so I grew up eating that one. Folks who don't like it call it horse meat because it's a dark brown, almost blood red, color. There are zero horses involved in the making of it, lol. It is made from beef but the extras (preservatives & unhealthy stuff most likely, lol) they add in give it an almost sour, fermented kinda flavor but in a good way if that makes sense. But then fermented foods are some of my favorites.
Oh and I forgot to say in my 1st comment, I never judge a book by it's cover. Some of the ugliest foods I've ever eaten had the very best flavor. And to be honest I didn't think that burger looked bad at all. I would have scarffed it down without thinking twice.😋

Hi Mike one of my favourite restaurants over here in the UK dose a Hawaiian burger 2 smash burgers grilles pineapple rings from a tin a egg and monetary jack cheese and man it's delicious there's 4 slices of cheese in total 2 on each burger

nice cook! As a young lad in Waukegan Il, The dairy queen on green bay road had awesome smash burgers and an amazing pizza burger. I think the patty was mild italian sausage based, it was amazing. Request: The Bud's 2 2 lounge burger of North Chicago. A stupid good burger, best i ever had.

Awesome!!! This really excited me as we do pizza pockets on the campfire for our kids. We bought a Black Stone a few years ago due to watching your channel. We have a mini one for our boat, a smaller one when we are off the road camping and a large one for our “glamping” life. 😂 I love it for breakfast but really love them for burgers!! I don’t use it as often as I should when I’m so addicted to using the grill & smoker. Gosh, I’m going on here and apologize. I loved our electric smoker for making ribs, all the smokers I’ve used can’t even do what that thing did for the recipe I have. It’s just different. That thing took a crap and even though I could use wood chips to it, it still made the best ribs ever!!! When you can take a bite of the meat and it fall off the bone.........and was moist........yum!!! Then I went to the wood pellet smoker and I hated that thing at first!! Now, I really love it!! Never thought I would even come to the day of loving it with how much it hated it. 😆 I love throwing 20 burgers on it if I have a lot of people over and never have to worry about burning them and drying them out. Made Delmonico steaks tonight for dinner and when I make those steaks those I consider luxury and charcoal has to be it for them. I like using Dales marinade on them and let them get room temp before I grill them. I love GFS steak seasoning to put on them also. Dales is really high in the salts so I try not to use so much of the teak seasoning on them and add extra black pepper to them. There’s a place here in Indiana called Shoup’s and they have a really good barbecue sauce that I absolutely love for ribs and the steak seasoning as well. Just for anyone who wants to know. I like to keep things local and you can order online. One of my all time favorites is the Cherry Rub made by Simply Marvelous!!!!! Dude!!! The stuff is the bomb for making a bacon wrapped tenderloin and throwing it on a half lit side of charcoal!!! It’s insane!!! When the bacon becomes a treat in your mouth (what they say, bacon bark) 😂 whew!!! That’s one run everyone should own for anything pork!!! It is the sheet!!!

I started my work life at a local pizza joint here on the south side. We made a pizza burger that was similar but with the cheese being melted in a salamander and it wasn't a smash burger (don't think that was common in the 80's). You nailed it Mike, I'd eat that in a heartbeat. Don't have any ideas as my favorite burger is a patty melt which is pretty much easy to do without much creativity, just have to have swill and American on dark rye (marbled is acceptable as well).

Made it was good. 2nd time I ground my burger so added pepperoni to grinder. And instead of Italian seasoning used all oregano like my pizza sauce. Can't go wrong with this burger. Even make it your own. Will be happy with something different🤘
