Thanks for making this video, wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I take it the seal that came in the Melling pump is the right size to use the wear sleeve? I have the same pump and it doesn't say one way or the other.
@@dennyo3992 No problem! Typically yes a wear sleeve is a repair item but on these engines it’s a factory deal… don’t really see that much. Some caterpillars you replace the wear sleeve with the seal, and you have to have the special tooling to install both at 1 time…

It has a wear sleeve from the factory and I’ve put several melling pumps with a new sleeve with no problems…

Do you have a vid for how you got the old wear ring off
Take a chisel and hit it, try to split it and usually it’ll come right off. They are paper thin.
