Yes, so the whole reason the console's graphics and various mechanics suck, is because of an extremely unpopular feature, that was almost immediately rescinded. Meaning, we pay less, but got less of a console in the long run.
I still don't trust Microsoft. They still seem very shady to me, I use to own a 360 and it broke quickly, froze a lot, I went through like 3 of them and I just gave up on them, and the fact Microsoft had that DRM at all makes me not trust their decisions, yes they took it away but they easily could not have.

PS4 has The Last of Us (ranked best game ever), Uncharted series (U2 is amongst the top 10 games ever), The God of War, Infamous series and Uncharted 4 which is coming soon. Xbone has just Halo 5 (not very highly rated)??? Gears of War ain't there in Xbone afaik. Rise of Tomb Raider is just a temporary exclusive for XBoners. Even Titanfall is on PC. So why should someone buy XBone when there are no exclusive games? Can someone please explain? Also in Ps4 gamer can play game from the discs with only a minor part of the game installing. That saves a lot of space.

I prefer PC simply because of excellent backwards compatibility and the freedom to do what I want, way more cheap games, and the fact that I've never actually touched a gamepad since the days of Nintendo Entertainment System so I'm pretty much accustomed to KB/M. However other than these personal preferences, I've nothing against the console or console gamers. I respect all platforms. Although yeah I do agree that TLOU should at least be available to PC, if not Xbox. I mean the direct competitor to PS is Xbox only considering that PC and console gamers are two distinct crowds and they usually stick to their respective systems.

The consumer outrage probably had nothing to do with it. What was more likely is this: MS said, reluctantly, "we're going to do blah blah blah" and the reaction was "What the bleep bleep bleep?!" Then Sony did a come-from-behind blow and said "we're not going to do blah blah blah" and the response was "yay, Sony is not doing blah blah blah so I'll buy Sony's console." MS then look and said "It looks like they're going to give they're money to Sony because they're not doing the blah blah blah that we are, so we'd better stop doing the blah blah blah." I'm sure it was actually competition from Sony and not fan outrage that motivated MS to change. They only care about fan outrage when they think it's going to make them lose money.

RANT: I remember hearing about all this bs before it came out, but I never picked one up until the next year sometime in December. What gets me though, is how the fuck it is widely accepted that you are FORCED to download and install not one, but every. Single. Game. I own over FORTY games for my 360, probably even more than that. On Xbox One, I've bought a total of FOUR disc games, AC black flag and unity were downloads that came with it, totaling SIX games that I own. I have 17% of my default hard drive space left since you need to install them to fucking play. If you compare this to the PS4 you can't even argue against it being better since it allows you to own and play more than, I'd say ten, maybe fifteen games without deleting and re-downloading them. Why was this not an issue, and no uproar at launch is what I don't understand. Isn't the ENTIRE purpose of a console to streamline the experience? Why the fuck would I even buy an Xbox One when it's now essentially a lesser, complete shit version of steam. Be careful now, if you say exclusives, once they release too many, you won't be able to play them all.

I own a PC and love Steam, but it's ironic that I raise my fist in the air for "tradable, no DRM, hard-copy games" but then use Steam which is almost completely DRM/digital-only gaming. The only thing that would make Steam perfect is if they offered, for an additional price, the ability to buy a cd rom with your game and a passcode to forever use it. Regardless...maybe the thing that'll, ironically, SAVE consoles is the ability to own hard-copy games....

I have the XB1 White Edition and i am very glad and happy with it. You can watch RUclips/Twitch games which i like to do. If you connect your xbox one with your pc, you can watch youtube from your pc to your xbox1/Tv. From popcorn time i can download movies and with this app Xbox video, i can stream movies from my pc to my xbox and to my tv with good quality(1080p) and alot of things more.

I think that's the biggest problem though. Generally consoles are easier because all consoles are generally equal, but PC gaming can be messy business what with all the brands and specs and the specs games need and whatnot. Adding to the fact that PCs are multipurpose, so you got a bunch of other things that you need your PC for cluttering your space. That's just my observation. Not saying PC gaming sucks or anything, just pointing out problems that probably deter the masses.

Might cost a bit, but your PC is doing what you want it do, and you will not be interrupted. I have a super powerful PC but I've had my eye on the new Steam console as should everyone else. No other resources to reallocate and so forth. It's promising gaming at 1080p with 60fps. If it supports things like Nvidia Physx, Tessalation and other enhancements it might be the best thing consoles have ever seen and might kill the others. I for one would get it if the controller is anything like the XBOX's.

This is why I laugh about this stuff, PS4 was supposed to do the same thing and they didn't want to sit in hot water so they HAPPILY let Microsoft come out and tell everyone first to see what'd happen and when it went bad, PS4 threw on their cape and stepped outside telling them they're NOT doing that. Xbox One fixed everything. PS4 saved face. I own them both, they're fucking awesome. I love my Xbox One more.
Yeah, I've seen Sunset Overdrive...that's pretty much the only game I've seen on One that's really good...I'm a big open world character maker type gamer and I'm interested in that but now there's Bloodborne...ugh, so many to try...but you're right. I would also rent a One just to play it...it's sad to see not that many exclusives both Xbox and PS use to have...sure, they had some of the same games but each one (even GameCube) had their own little exclusives that made them stand out...even to the 360/PS3 era...it's not the same anymore....

I still don't trust Microsoft. They still seem very shady to me, I use to own a 360 and it broke quickly, froze a lot, I went through like 3 of them and I just gave up on them, and the fact Microsoft had that DRM at all makes me not trust their decisions, yes they took it away but they easily could not have.

I prefer PC simply because of excellent backwards compatibility and the freedom to do what I want, way more cheap games, and the fact that I've never actually touched a gamepad since the days of Nintendo Entertainment System so I'm pretty much accustomed to KB/M. However other than these personal preferences, I've nothing against the console or console gamers. I respect all platforms. Although yeah I do agree that TLOU should at least be available to PC, if not Xbox. I mean the direct competitor to PS is Xbox only considering that PC and console gamers are two distinct crowds and they usually stick to their respective systems.

MS said, reluctantly, "we're going to do blah blah blah" and the reaction was "What the bleep bleep bleep?!" MS then look and said "It looks like they're going to give they're money to Sony because they're not doing the blah blah blah that we are, so we'd better stop doing the blah blah blah." I'm sure it was actually competition from Sony and not fan outrage that motivated MS to change. They only care about fan outrage when they think it's going to make them lose money.

RANT: I remember hearing about all this bs before it came out, but I never picked one up until the next year sometime in December. What gets me though, is how the fuck it is widely accepted that you are FORCED to download and install not one, but every. Single. Game. I own over FORTY games for my 360, probably even more than that. On Xbox One, I've bought a total of FOUR disc games, AC black flag and unity were downloads that came with it, totaling SIX games that I own. I have 17% of my default hard drive space left since you need to install them to fucking play. If you compare this to the PS4 you can't even argue against it being better since it allows you to own and play more than, I'd say ten, maybe fifteen games without deleting and re-downloading them.
Why was this not an issue, and no uproar at launch is what I don't understand. Isn't the ENTIRE purpose of a console to streamline the experience? Why the fuck would I even buy an Xbox One when it's now essentially a lesser, complete shit version of steam.
Be careful now, if you say exclusives, once they release too many, you won't be able to play them all.

Physical formats are on the way out and the industry is sneaking it in more with each day, until one day, all the people who throw fits about not being able to have physical games will realize that almost no games get physical releases anymore.

I agree! I own a PC and love Steam, but it's ironic that I raise my fist in the air for "tradable, no DRM, hard-copy games" but then use Steam which is almost completely DRM/digital-only gaming.
The only thing that would make Steam perfect is if they offered, for an additional price, the ability to buy a cd rom with your game and a passcode to forever use it.

If you connect your xbox one with your pc, you can watch youtube from your pc to your xbox1/Tv. From popcorn time i can download movies and with this app Xbox video, i can stream movies from my pc to my xbox and to my tv with good quality(1080p) and alot of things more.

If you honestly think that microsoft "listened" to us, you are lying to yourself. The only reason they reversed it was because they thought shit, we aren't going to make money. They knew that the PS4 was going to sell a hell of a lot more from their reveal, so Microsoft did what they had to. You really think they would have done that if everyone cheered at their reveal event and no one cheered at the sony's? I'm just saying, our voices didn't change a thing. Money is the one that talks.

paintball3747 There's nothing about the Xbox One that is terrible anymore. The Xbox One is absolutely amazing now. I own an XBO and a PS4 and in my opinion XBO wins by a little bit.
Considering they still did all that stupid rubbish and the Xbox one is £80 more then its MORE POWERFUL AND LESS RESTRICTIVE rival I can't understand why all is forgiven now... Heck even the WII U is probably more worth your money.

Depending on the PC, the PC can't really be outmatched at this time. But that's my opinion.
I think that's the biggest problem though. Generally consoles are easier because all consoles are generally equal, but PC gaming can be messy business what with all the brands and specs and the specs games need and whatnot. Adding to the fact that PCs are multipurpose, so you got a bunch of other things that you need your PC for cluttering your space. That's just my observation. Not saying PC gaming sucks or anything, just pointing out problems that probably deter the masses.

But if console strays from making gaming easy to do, then PC is the only option, esp. if someone does have their hand in your pocket every five minutes, a feature, which rightly, (without thanks, cos it was just a dumb idea (DRM)), is reversed.

Frankly, if one is after gaming excellence, it's still PC - I mean, you can build your rig. Might cost a bit, but your PC is doing what you want it do, and you will not be interrupted.
Still, if I can buy, hire or borrow a disk, whack it in and play, without wondering if my specs r up to date, it sure is a lot less bother.
I have a super powerful PC but I've had my eye on the new Steam console as should everyone else. No other resources to reallocate and so forth. It's promising gaming at 1080p with 60fps. If it supports things like Nvidia Physx, Tessalation and other enhancements it might be the best thing consoles have ever seen and might kill the others. I for one would get it if the controller is anything like the XBOX's.

This is why I laugh about this stuff, PS4 was supposed to do the same thing and they didn't want to sit in hot water so they HAPPILY let Microsoft come out and tell everyone first to see what'd happen and when it went bad, PS4 threw on their cape and stepped outside telling them they're NOT doing that. Xbox One fixed everything. PS4 saved face. I own them both, they're fucking awesome. I love my Xbox One more.

Yeah, I've seen Sunset Overdrive...that's pretty much the only game I've seen on One that's really good...I'm a big open world character maker type gamer and I'm interested in that but now there's Bloodborne...ugh, so many to try...but you're right. I would also rent a One just to play it...it's sad to see not that many exclusives both Xbox and PS use to have...sure, they had some of the same games but each one (even GameCube) had their own little exclusives that made them stand out...even to the 360/PS3 era...it's not the same anymore....
