The 360 & PS3 is what I say was “The war between consoles” or what officially started it and ended with the PS4 & XB1. Covid was a contributing factor in ending it imo, but in my POV, I can’t stay loyal to one. I love video games too much that I need all 3. Yes I do enjoy the “vs” stuff and topics, but with how each brand is in 2022, they’re all good in their own way. Recently I’ve been enjoying the shit out of my PS5, but I’ve had my fair share with the XB1 and Switch. Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, Splatoon, I’ve enjoyed playing plus other titles on Switch. Xbox I use for online, so Minecraft, Monster Hunter World, GTA, Forza, Halo, I’ve made good memories with and had many great times with it. PlayStation I use for story/exclusive, so Guardians of the Galaxy, Astros Playroom, Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Red Dead Redemption 2, I’ve been enjoying these games and stories, and how fast I can get to the next after next. I’ve had my fair share in all and I enjoy all. This generation of gaming, you can go either way
Goddamn watching this makes me feel so goddamn old... lol. But nice history lesson of what made these consoles so great and while they are having a much better storyline than Twilight :P

I’m very sad to report that Microsoft and the Xbox brand as a whole is still lagging behind both the Sony PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch with their Xbox Series X/S. At this point it’s gonna take divine intervention for Xbox to gain traction. For one, don’t close down studios while making overly stupidly expensive purchases of other game studios.
So Xbox One is amazing awesome I enjoy it there was no problem with it at all and it was my dad's xbox one.
I genuinely didn't realize this was a voice over in the beginning until you said "backwards compatibility", lol!
So they went with xbox kinda by accident and couldn't be bothered to think of something else haha? I did feel very nostalgic watching all the footage from the late 90s/early 00's too.

Competition is a good thing as it forces both Sony and Microsoft to not rest on their laurels and pushes them to keep innovating and giving better deals to consumers. If Sony did not lean so heavy into the missteps of the Xbox one reveal, there is a good chance that Microsoft would have stuck to their guns with their anti consumer policies. Just because you have the better platform one generation does not buy you customer loyalty in the video game market and both Sony and Microsoft know this.
It does now in the digital age as people build digital libraries.

I was a Sony fan boy for ever I love my ps5 but meh I got a series x and GamePass sold me I have not booted up the ps5 since ratchet which is a problem IMO
GamePass is a game changer. It's simply a better offer than what PlayStation got at the moment

I've been a Sony guy since the 80's. The total sales numbers are off by a lot. PS5 vs XSX is great competition

The console war wasn't a thing last generation, there was just countless PS fanboys commenting "PS Better" & "Xbox got no games" on every single official Xbox social media post for the entire generation. Nit picking charachter detail in games wasn't a thing prior to the Craig meme PS fanboys initiated. Nit picking physics detail in a game wasn't a thing before PS fanboys started going on about fruit physics in Xbox games. ect. Notice any kind of trend here?
I’m sorry… what? I’ve owned consoles since the PS1, and when the original Xbox came out to go against the PS2 there were console wars then. I take it you’re very young to not know this. My science teacher at school literally had a forum online dedicated to the Xbox 360 that said “no PlayStation fans allowed”. Even the official Xbox channel has a whole 6 part documentary with current and former Xbox employees describe it as a “war” all the way back when the first Xbox came out. There are idiot fans on both sides, but your over exaggerated use of the phrase “Sony fanboys” proves nothing except the fact you’re obviously one of those immature console war goers.

In my opinion the PlayStation 2 won round one by a landslide against the Xbox and round 2 the 360 won by a landslide against the ps2 as it became the standard and then the ps4 won round 3 by a landslide against the Xbox one and round 4 also goes to the ps5 against the Xbox series x/s
Honestly both have there strong suits I personally own both the ps5 and series s I can personally say as of right now I use my ps5 more as I love the exclusives much more than Xbox’s current roster

If people actually know the truth they would steer clear of Sony's consoles, they are an evil empire and completely about profits and making "slim" but inferior consoles.
