    I had a chance to meet Cannibal Corpse when they played in Serbia 2019. Not only are they great musicians, but they’re also really generous people, especially Alex Webster.

      A 100%! I had the chance to open up for them and saw them many times at the culture room in Fort Lauderdale, always a blast! Alex and Paul are awesome and fun dudes for sure! All of them really but those two… Pat O’Brien was super cool too. Back then he was skinny and had long hair, people would confuse us 🤣

    such an iconic Album! that's crazy that it isn't that down-tuned, it is so brutal that most drop A bands sound weak in comparison. One of the best bass sound in death metal must have been a big part of it. good to see you back!

    • @PatPosse
      @PatPosse  3 года назад

      A 100%! That bass sounds sick and the mix itself is brutal AF! I felt like I should point out that the tuning is not that low cause it sounds HEAVY! Last album they played 6 string guitars half step down though 😢

    Ese disco es un estallido de principio a fin,la manera tan tecnica en la q es tocado da una gran mejora a sus trabajos anteriores (obviamente sus trabajos anteriores son unas obras maestras) pero este album da una gran mejora en lo q seria el sonido tecnico y brutal del death metal,un abrazo patt. Gran video!!!

    • @PatPosse
      @PatPosse  3 года назад +2

      Totalmente. Una vuelta de rosca notable. Para mí en este disco dejan un poco sus raíces Thrash y se enfocan en darle una identidad más Death a sus composiciones y sonido! Gracias!

    Excellent review! I'm going to have to give this one a listen. My first experience with Cannibal Corpse wasn't great, but you mentioned that the vocals were clearer. Definitely will check it out. Thanks Pat! Another kick ass DMT

      Thank you brother! I am glad you enjoyed it! This album kicks ass! If only for the memorable Intro riffs… Personally I think this is Barnes’ best vocal performance. It’s not as frantic as before and the production quality helps it be more understandable. Let me know what you think!

    Bro, I am so happy you put this album in the spotlight. I always said it was ahead of it's time. And Fucked With A Knife is my favorite track on it. AWESOME VIDEO, BRO!!!

      One of my favorite Death Metal albums! Top 10 for sure. Definitely ahead of it's time. Such awesome and iconic riffs! I would say top 5 but having just revisited it and listened to it back two back twice in a row I can say it gets a bit repetitive towards the end... But the high points in the albums are HIGH AF!

    Había pasado un año de haber empezado a escuchar metal (1995) y ya me estaba cansando del género, este álbum me devolvió la fe. Después vino Hammerfall, y ahí empezó a tambalear un poquito otra vez:-7

      @@PatPosse No sé tu edad, pero ubicate en esa década, en Urug... perdón en Paraguay (:-)), las opciones eran mínimas, no había mucha variedad, y siempre, siempre el material al que uno tenía acceso era el que le gustaba a la mayoría, que habitualmente no era mucho de mi agrado. Con la facilidad de acceso de ésta época cuesta creer lo sufrido que era ser metalero con criterio propio en aquellos tiempos:-7 Por demás está decir que este disco juntos con otros, de grupos tradicionales, que experimentaban con lo "noventero", fueron ampliamente defenestrados por los TRVE:-7

      Claro ni hablar! yo tengo 35 y me imagino lo que sería, en mi época de high school era difícil en Miami conseguir metal extremo, no me imagino en países sin una cultura rockera! Lo mejor era eBay pero bueno, era un adolescente sin dinero... Tengo un Story Time donde cuento lo difícil que era conseguir metal y lo que hacía para conocer nuevas bandas! Appears that I may be in the minority here. Get out your pitchforks but IMO, the overall production and especially Barnes' vocals, is the worst of all CC albums. I cannot stand when Chris Barnes growls, when he goes "EEEEEEEEEEEEE" it just makes me think he is sitting on the toilet trying to unblock his colon with a massive shit, or on "Stripped, R***, and Strangled" when he says "There all dead", I howl laughing, he sounds like a child trying to do a death growl. Maybe this is due to me hearing "Butchered At Birth" first, when most listeners today "The Bleeding" is the first album and then go back.

    • @PatPosse
      @PatPosse  2 года назад +1

      Oh no! How dare you have a different opinion on a subjective matter like music!? 🤣🤣. Nah man I love the fact that you voice your opinion even if it’s an “unpopular” one. I get what you mean completely! To be honest, this is the first Barnes album i had heard back in 2001. He was already out and I was familiar with corpsegrinders vocals and some of these songs were already favorites of mine because of the Live Cannibalism CD. The high growls he does are defo funny but I’ve grown to love them. He was definitely trying something new there. I favor this albums over the previous 3 because of the guitar work and sound but a good friend of mine who is an old school death metal head (and drummer) agrees with you. He says this is Chris’ worst album and Cannibal Corpse’s last decent release.
      Love to have opposing views here as long as we all keep it civil and respectful 🤘🏻
      Thanks for watching and commenting !

      @@PatPosse Thanks! yes, please keep the discussion going! I always want to hear others POV, especially if they differ from mine, so hearing from someone who thoroughly enjoys "The Bleeding", maybe I'll find something I missed before. I've been saying this for a while, so I might actually want to get some data on this. Do you like The Bleeding, or hate it? If so, WHEN did you start listening to it?
      My point is I believe those who started early with CC, more often do not like Bleeding, but those who started first with Bleeding, tend to like it more. Regardless, The Bleeding did bring more people into the death metal camp and should be highly regarded for it, even if it sounds like shit :)

      @@theibexmoon4057 Hahaha! My first CC Album was Bloodthirst, I told the story before on my channel but it dates back to 2001, I was 15 then and I hated it in the beginning. The Bleeding is top 3 CC for me. The riffs are SO iconic and memorable that I was hooked instantly (again, I heard them before Live and thought they were SICK AF)

      @@PatPosse Nice! I like the Bleeding songs, just not what's recorded in the studio. There's a really good bootleg with Barnes, the 1994 Death board Recordings, a live show from the Bleeding tour. His vocals on that is great, check it out!
      My first CC was Butchered at Birth. I was just getting into death metal, around 1998-9. I asked a friend which CC album to start with, he said start early and make your way through so I can hear the evolution of the sound. I've been using that method ever since.
