The air pressure is also controlled through this allowing no overflow of liquids

Why do you have the flywheel at the front of the engine when it it nearly always associated with the gearbox at the aft end?

Do you recommend any marine diesel guide books to have on board? The lectures you have posted have tremendously helped my understanding, but I would like to study it a bit more!

A lot of marine diesels are 2 stroke as well.

Uhm, the explaination of the strokes are wrong at some points. Its not the hot air that ignites the fuel, its the compression. - Engineer

Diesels are combustion engines. Explosions happen in gasoline ones.

Please can somebody extend the raw water strainer, to micro-filter plastic from the oceans, 10% should be micro-strained, on each and every new marine engine, and eventually we can clean up. I can think of no other way, and it will work....eventually. The plastic is now so small, and ingested by all sea life. This is an idea I had, so take it on somebody, and make a fortune if you want, if the by-product is an earth fit for my descendants. pax and gratis. if someone builds a prototype, and it works, ie 10% of cooling intake is micro-filtered, then a nobel prize would occur. think on it! hundreds of thousands of engines, now filtering the oceans...it has to succeed eventually. Folk have worked out systems to clean up the plastic islands...please hurry! and this will clean up what's left...eventually.

Putting the cost on the consumer is not a good idea and if they still have the option of buying a regular filter than one they have to change 3x more frequently and 3x the cost their not going to use it. How you going to force this product on every manufacturer?

Um no! A $10,000 engine depends on unobstructed water flow.... and you want to restrict it and clog it?
