Who else would buy an album of Midnight in Harlem live versions? Everyone blows my mind, there's been many great solo's in last 60-70 years but Derek's solo's on this track have me almost in tears. Simply sublime from all the band

Her voice, his pony tail, that bass player. 🥰
Big thighs = bonus
Heard this song in a restroom at a bar 4 years ago, shazamed it and it got me through probably the toughest time in my life. Living in nyc it resonates but that guitar solo and bass of this version hit my soul.
This song is one of those you could listen to every day for months and not grow old, it energizes me, makes me smile
Man, it just doesn’t get any better than this.
Bro made that guitar cry
The intro already got people who dont know bout Trucks excited. That slide is smooth af
God such a great version of this song! The slide solo! OMG!
seen both mrs trucks on her own and with her husband derek loved both she can sing and play he adds a genuine slide that takes you away but her voice is special
You Won’t hear these on the radio in the UK as they’re too good. Thanks for posting what a class tune
Best version of the best song in the band's repertoire. One of my close friends was at this Crossroads Festival. He said this song was almost magical.
What year was this?
Who else would buy an album of Midnight in Harlem live versions? Everyone blows my mind, there's been many great solo's in last 60-70 years but Derek's solo's on this track have me almost in tears. Simply sublime from all the band
This whole band is so composed and tight. Also, huge shout out to whoever ran the soundboard during this set. Can’t wait to see them in May!
Can’t stop listening to this beautiful piece of music.
Over and over and over
"This song will be playing when you get to heaven" - A friend of mine
I do believe he right about that...I sure hope so.
Just about the end of 2016. We lost so many this year. I hope they are all playing this song now, what a celestial choir. Happy New Year everyone.
for those who get there...it´s not a free ride...
And my husband is one of them. He is playing with the greatest!
wayne moores - And 2017 was even worse than 2016, wasn't it?!
This song is so true to heart. It almost makes me cry everytime. Derrick amazes me at every turn and her voice is angelic. Perfect combo.
I mostly like the bassplayer looks at the Hammond player(less is more)
I've been playing guitar and listening to great guitarists for the best part of half a century, and that might just be the most beautiful solo I've ever heard. And I just love that moment at 5:57 when Susan looks at the bass player as if to say, "wow, my Derek's a total genius!"
There really aren't words for how incredible this is. Derek's solo tells the story of the mood, the feel, and the raw emotion of this song with only notes. Like an opera when you can't understand the words, but know exactly what they're "saying".....this whole band nails this flawless performance......yet Derek is the main storyteller in the end.
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkk!!!!!! that is one kick ass song on so many levels . . . . Thank you New Orleans Jazz Fest
This was from a Crossroads Festival, in 2010 in Chicago.
Cool thanks .... I found these guys watching New Orleans Jazz Fest. ✌🏼✌🏼
Susan - Beautiful Woman -Beautiful MUSIC...:) I LOVE YOU Susan... Thank you
Absolutely wonderful performance! Exactly what music should be.
That solo should be mounted, and played in its entirety in a music museum every time someone walks by the monument.
THANK YOU
I bet that day was magical. You could almost cry on your way back home.
I first see this a while ago its a mind blowing piece of lyrical art and performance by Susan and Derek keeps me motivated to stay clean, five years this month for me, absolutely awsome thanks 😍
