- It's tough using a DualShock 4 controller on your PC but it's not impossible, and it's a solid controller by its own right so it's worth the effort.

Thanks for saying we shouldn't install the driver that came with the dongle. It was the problem, I uninstalled it, let Windows do its thing, and everything works now! :)

Controller works with bluetooth, in steam if im playing a game and it disconnect it doesnt connect again. i tried removing the dongle and re insert it, it pairs but its never recognised in the game after

They recognize each other, but the connection never gets established. When I hit "0" on my keyboard, it just makes a little error noise

Using W7. It won't pair the ds4 in the bluetooth add device window. it always says it successfully added, but when i press the PS button the light goes off after a few seconds.

The wireless technique doesn't work for me, the controller doesn't light up and my computer stops to the point where I can't do anything and have to reset it manually

YO if anyone is having trouble with DS4 windows try this fix if you are using a gen2 ps4 controller .... go to control panel >hardware and sound > devices and printers...click in controller then hardware (if your controller is being read as a audio device DISABLE IT it looks like a speaker and reads wireless controller) then go to HID compliant game controller and enable it... and it should work....... i just got a new ps4 controller for my pc (model cuh zct2u) (was using model cuh zct1u) and it didn't work at first but i tried this and it worked

I have a question. I see your running windows 7 with your ps4 controller and my question is it legit compatible for windows 7. Because I have a pretty old computer and for some reason my pc runs better on windows 7 compared witg windows 10.

ALTiX it's emulating an Xbox controller nothing is wrong that's what it's supposed to do...
Well this worked for one day. Now my controller will only connect for a few seconds and then it just shuts off.
It's fully charged so that's not the issue. Spent all day trying to fix this and it just won't work :(

Let just just summarize:
if you connect using Bluetooth which means you already have your Bluetooth dongle working, all you need to do is start up steam big picture (controller icon on the top right) if your game is on steam, if not you will need to download DS4windows and use it as shown in the video
When i press the ps and share it starts flashing but doesnt appear in discovering devices

Hey man i've installed a bluetooth dongle and it works fine, it detects my phone and all. I've also installed DS4 and the dualshock works fine with USB cable. But when I try to pair using bluetooth it just disconnects and stops showing in the devices. I've added it after pressing share+start button until it started flashing and it was recognized and started installed the drivers and just when it says that everything is installed properly, it disconnects. It shows for like a second in the DS4 software but I can't see any info on the dualshock and then it disconnects. Please help

@@salvatorehayes2753 If you have installed ds4windows, you need to uninstall the ds4 driver and then unpair it. Then re-pair it.
