If you don't hear sound after connecting your controller, Windows changes your default sound output to the headphone jack on the controller. Just go to your sound settings and change the output device for "Wireless Controller" back to your speakers / headphones. Also if you are having issues with DS4 windows asking you to install .net, install this version: dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-6.0.2-windows-x64-installer

Search up controller in setttings in will say set up a controller or something I think similar and go through the steps to calibrate and boom it must be wired though it may work wireless but I don’t know you have to try with that

@@bboynitro Are you using DS4 windows (github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases) There's a few videos on how to set it up. It's fairly easy and once you do, all you'll have to do is keep it updated.

For anyone who is having trouble getting the controller to work in SWTOR. Once you have completed all the other steps and got the controller to appear and the key mappings. try running DS4 as admin. Because it works while SWTOR is minimized but not when it is restored. Run as admin. You welcome.

mini update. after closing ds4 windows, my ps4 controller is now being detected all of sudden again, so now I don't need it 0.o. Maybe it was the drivers that was needed
When youll flip your controller backwords, see the top right screw there besides it there will be a small hole Just use some pin or toothpick to press it in(there is a button inside it). Just it a minor push and you'll feel a click. What this will do is it will factory reset your ps4 controller. Press and hold ps4 button(home button) and share button for 3 seconds until your controller starts flashing. Hopefully ps4 controller will now show up when you'll go into Bluetooth settings and add device.

I think the problem is either with my PC or my adapter since I've tried to use other controllers and they too didn't connect to my PC, but when I use my laptop which has built-in Bluetooth, the controller connects with no issues. DS4 will work on PC the problem is with the button mapping if there was some kind of driver support it would solve such a simple issue vs spending days remapping buttons for a complex game such as Elite Dangerous.

I had this problem where my bluetooth would pick up the DS4, but when i tried to play a game it would be laggy, not register inputs, etc. The solution for me was finding the bluetooth antenna that came with my PC/Motherboard. It has two coaxial connections, plugged them into the back of my PC, and now I can play from my mailbox. Hope this helps.

Doesnt work... I did everything right but the controller doesnt show up in the ds4 menu, it showes in the windows options bur not more. (I use the usb version and also tried the wireless and restarted and redownloaded it like 5 times but it still doesnt work, properly its the controller because I tried the same thing with input mapper

followed all the steps tried wired and bluetooth, verified its paired and connected however ds4windows never recognized it. rebooted multiple times. makes no sense as it did what you said when i tried wired and switched it to the main audio device, changed it back to head set but still never shows up

Using wireless method usually results in an interference causing the controller to interact its self sometimes. Happens to my friends as well. Once in a while on fortnite my guy looks like down then sideways then sometimes switches guns on its own. Very weird but never happens when using wired method.

when i click on the ryochen7 link i dont get a picture of the ps4 controller i get the welcome screen and everything says under construction...... why does your youtube video show one thing but the link is different?

I got my controller connected with my computer though bluetooth after some hassle but it doesn't show up in ds4 windows, tried with cable and it showed up immediately...
any ideas why it doesn't show when I use bluetooth?

yo when i plus my cntrl in it flashes yellow, but it doesnt turn blue unless its bluetooth. it wont let me connect wired cuz when i plug it in it says "add a device" i press to add it, it brings me to that bluetooth and device page, then i press to connect it and as soon as it says its connected it instantly turns off. did this happen to anyone else? plz help

Hey! I have a question. I did all of the steps and everything works just like you showed in the video. But when I hope into a game (like Fortnite for example) the controller doesn't work (no inputs affect the game). Do I have a setting wrong or is there something else I need to do?

followed all the steps tried wired and bluetooth, verified its paired and connected however ds4windows never recognized it. rebooted multiple times. makes no sense as it did what you said when i tried wired and switched it to the main audio device, changed it back to head set but still never shows up
Everything Done but after connect via Bluetooth in the DS4Windows, the controller connects and disconnects from time to time. if the battery needs full to connect Bluetooth or any fixes for me

the only issue i have, is that when i connect the controller with a usb, it just doesnt connect, and ive restarted my pc, and tried everything, and nothing works..
Using wireless method usually results in an interference causing the controller to interact its self sometimes. Happens to my friends as well. Once in a while on fortnite my guy looks like down then sideways then sometimes switches guns on its own. Very weird but never happens when using wired method.

sir help pls, I've done all the guides on by this video and it worked for my in my first time. Then when i shut down my pc and open again the ds4windows. My controller won't show. Help pls
The option to download DS4 driver never showed up for me, the only thing that showed up was the other pop up for the profiles
same then the app dont see my controller
Bro, it shows the controller is not using any profile and starts to connect and disconnect automatically and then reconnects and disconnects!!!! What I do now

Guys I bought a cheap wired controller off Temu, and I’ve done all the steps but it’s only showing up on Bluetooth, and my pc doesn’t have Bluetooth or internet on it (I gotta use an internet where’s adapter) so I cant use it plz help. Yes I’ve tried restarting and all that stuff
I connect it with pc but fifa doesn’t do like i command with my controller and uses like 2 controllers but i actually have one and want to play with that one how can i fix
