Arbitrary social status such as who is alpha and who wishes to be alpha is too subjective to have reliable conclusions in psychology. I do all that "alpha" shit just from being chill. I never took notes in school so I chilled in graduate school and I helped my fellow grad students make corrections in their notes. Human beings are no exception to this - we're just as much a part of biology as the gorilla is. There's nothing stopping science from describing human beings in the same way. Once you've achieved that, there are genuine facts to be learned about humanity, and one of those facts will be the correlation of sociopathy and and simply being an alpha male. Going purely by my own intuition and nothing more, I would imagine that nature has selected for sociopathy because if you were a kind and compassionate male, the sociopath you crossed paths with would have either killed you, dominated you, stole your mate, or simply made sure you never mated. Though the term "alpha male" is unscientific, most of the advice in this video is spot on. You forgot one thing though: earning it. You have to earn your calm. Human beings are no exception to this - we're just as much a part of biology as the gorilla is. There's nothing stopping science from describing human beings in the same way. Once you've achieved that, there are genuine facts to be learned about humanity, and one of those facts will be the correlation of sociopathy and and simply being an alpha male. Going purely by my own intuition and nothing more, I would imagine that nature has selected for sociopathy because if you were a kind and compassionate male, the sociopath you crossed paths with would have either killed you, dominated you, stole your mate, or simply made sure you never mated. This is over hundreds of thousands of years, where we went from selecting for who could bash each others brains in better and rape more female humans/proto-humans, to who was more socially dominant which I would imagine, is better supported by a lack of empathy, callousness, and so on.
