Corrections / Changes to the Sheet:
KT Sword is not considered "bis" for ret. It is neck and neck with Lionheart Executioner, and many consider the BS sword slightly better. KT Sword would be Arms Prio due to this.
Seal of Danzalar is bis for Warlock in arena due to the armor on the ring.
Vashj belt - Even if your tanks are not having any trouble with threat, still would be more valuable on a prot warrior or feral than a dps warrior or rogue.
Just curious, why the 180 on Belt of 100 Deaths for tank prio?
In the video I said it’s best for tanks but your tanks might not need it for threat And it can go to a DPS.
I just moved it above warrior DPS and rogue DPS even if you’re not having throat issues because those classes don’t benefit from the belt nearly as much as the other DPS classes, And tank gear sets can be awkward without the belt, Warrior can have too much defense or resilience not enough threat items without the belt and Bear off tank the belt is still insane as a DPS.
@@Zatar I asked the guy who makes the druid bis lists on wowhead, he thinks it is clearly best for prot warrior, but he still thinks it should be rolled on by anyone where its bis until sunwell, and they have good raid attendence/performance. Too much drama otherwise as there's still a lot of debate over who its best for, but i agree with him that its best on a prot warrior. (Im a feral tank). I agree with all your corrections, nice list.
I personally really want it to vastly reduce the chance of chain parry haste or crushing/parry haste combos. Druids are the most vulnerable to rng as tanks, given that we get crushed (a lot). I havn't really seen anyone crunch the numbers on this though.
I Tank on a 70 druid as well, and getting your first mangle parried or dodged is a nightmare

For the few boomkins out there, if you are spell hit heavy, going for the Vevlet Boots of the Guardian over Boots of Blasting breaks you from having to retain tailoring in this phase once you remove Spellfire :)

Enjoyed the video Zatar! On the Prism of Inner Calm - seems like such a meme item at first but it's amazing for Ret in the right circumstances.
IIRC it applies 150 threat reduction to melee, which is nice for most melee classes but not enough to offset losing a dps trinket. It also does 1000 threat reduction on spells, and for most classes which are critting for around the 10k mark on their big spells, it's a small fractional reduction in threat.
But... a paladin's seals are treated as spells, and for a twisting ret there are more of those seals proccing per swing - 3 seals with a windfury attack + twist, that combined critting do around 7k damage with decent P2 gear. So you're getting 7k brought down to 4k, which is great reduction.
With the Devastation 2h axe on Kael you might find yourself threat-capped, especially early on as your tanks are gearing. This can let you wail on him endlessly.
Nice vid, usually these vids have certain classes/specs completely wrong, but I agree with everything pretty much bang on.

what are the best poison for main hand and offhand pve for max dmg
The hydross defense trinket is amazing in resist sets. 42 defense is hige getting to defense cap while your pushing for resist cap.
Funny thing that this trinket is only usable vs hydross itself xD
Solarian's Sapphire is not a meme item. You can equip it and battle shout out of combat, then swap in your normal trinket. You will snapshot the AP. You an do this with T2 set bonus aswell. Just set up a macro and use it out of combat for a total of 100 (125 with commanding presence) attack power bonus to your entire group for 3 minutes (with booming voice)

How does latrose compare to fang of Vashj. I've seen a few Sims, but none of them actually show the numbers and just say swords are better than daggers. I'm curious if the dagger in oh is more consistant damage as it 30 dps higher than getting sword procs based on rng.
Dagger is too slow. You lose a bunch of energy from combat potency.

Engi helm for Prot pally is not as good as T4. Engi for pally is also less good for the trinket since they could use a JC trinket for stam and threat or straight avoidance
@@baldheadned1 Engi helm is extremely good for prot pally. It enables you to be greedier in other slots while staying very tanky. If you're only worried about raw spellpower then T5 helm is better, but the engi helm is an incredible option to have at your disposal.
@@altairian8 badge helm is more overall avoidance, engi googles are good if you want more stam but I wouldn’t say that it’s a must have.
@@Ray_Santamaria Avoidance is kind of a niche stat for a prot pally. Dodging and parrying actively reduces your threat output. In a situation where you're trying to save healer mana and your threat doesn't matter sure, wear avoidance. But most situations you have heals incoming whether you take the hit or not, so it's better to block more and avoid less. Having a larger health pool gives you more safety from damage spikes than avoidance does as well.

Specifically for orc that are not blacksmithing. Can still be good for other situations but not bis otherwise.

why do you think solarians sapphire is a meme item? i thought the 70 ap affects all partymembers, isnt 70ap on 5 people stronger than any trinket? (if all 5 can benefit)
Trinkets are really powerful, So it’s a big DPS loss for an individual to run that trinket.
In theory, it would make the most sense for a tank to use it because the stamina is really good, but they don’t have improved battle shout. So while it can be strong for a warrior that wants to support the group, have you ever known a DPS warrior that wanted to do that? Some people suggest trying to get your arms to do it. That could work out. I would probably give it to your warrior with the worst trinket.

The warrior trinket is actually pretty solid, you can equip it and shout before the fight and switch back to a good trink. Modest but may as well rather than DEing

I play a ret paladin and our guild has seen only one belt drop and it went to the tank (which I was okay with). Our luck has been so bad this phase with loot.
Quick critque, but the added stats + SP on the Fang is far superior for a prot pally than the added DPS on the Gruul sword.

Warlocks want seal of danzalar for pvp btw. and it's considered very good.
Fury warrior 4 set tier 5 with Bloodsea Brigand Vest sims higher than the off set pieces. Besides, it's nice to be plate if you can.

I argue expertise is more worth for a feral tank than a feral cat. Capping a single dps feral over capping all dps because the druid tank parry dodge dodge on pull is obvious. And the druid should go for boost bracers and neck from pvp. Deftness or searing for gloves, 4set T5 and 100d for belt. Maybe not the first belt but for sure the second. Badge of tenacity and either a mit or threat option for second trinket. Shapeshifters and mit ring if needed. Bosses can't parry with their chutbeeks = less impactful for a kitty. But ofc it is great for a kitty too considering hit drop. Just better for tanking. I might be wrong, but that is how I think about it.

Curious why you say warrior and rogue benefit from expertise the least when those are the two that have resource generation tied to autos.
Rogue has a talent that reduces dodges on finishers and they get a refund on energy if their abilities miss.
Dps Warriors I don’t have a great explanation other than sim / spreadsheet results.
@@Zatar There should be a case to be made for rogues that are going to apply Imp EA. Having expertise helps them get the imp EA up faster usually. That is why most top rogues say that Latros is even better than S2 OH Sword for boss encounters

Is dual wielding even a thing in tbc for prot warriors?
In raid, very rarely. The only boss you can/should in P2 is Void Reaver, since it is a constant threat battle. Outside of that it’s not worth, you’ll die immediately

My guild uses cepgp for loot so I don't want to go wasting a bunch of my points on minor upgrades. I'm only going to use my points on the 2 or maybe 3 items at the top of my bis list.
Be careful, cepgp systems come with a weekly or biweekly point decay to avoid point holding. Waiting for items could end up putting you in a situation where you actually could have had an item you wanted but didn't get because you wanted to wait.

You got it the opposite way, the shoulders are only BiS if you have the gloves or any other item that put em over that treshold(for warriors).
Depends which sim you look at, but compares to p1 gear we probably can both agree that the shoulders are the item you would equip immediately.

Didn't see you cover this and just wanted to make things a little bit more confusing regarding the trash drop recipes. The recipe for the boots is BoE and the boots that you craft from it are BoP, while the recipe for the belts is BoP and the belts that you craft from it are BoE.
So fun fact, EleShams don’t need Sea-Witch Robes at all. In T5 EleSham reaches hitcap incredibly easily. Belt of Blasting, T5 Legs, & Sha’tar Rep Helm enchant puts EleShams at EXACTLY hit cap. EleShams never need Sea-Witch. Go for Hateful Echoes until you can get ahold of T5 chest
After lock, nobody really needs the chest. Some might prefer sea-witch for ele/arcane even ignoring the hit, but it’s minimal.
If you have one mage staying fire spec, because you are a casual guild that cannot provide the needed support for (more than one) arcane mage, you should squeeze him after WLs but prior to Ele Sham
How come crafted mace isn't mentioned for enhancment shaman?
Not bis according to Shaman discord.
Because it's 4th best for an Orc (1.19% behind Wicked Edge) and 3rd best for non-Orc (0.67% behind Talon).

Dragonstrike is only BiS for Alli Enh sham IF you don't have DST. If you have DST then it's better to get talon

Defense trinket is a good trinket 4Head
You kept talking about one-hundred deaths for tanks as a threat belt, that's not why expertise is such a high priority stat. It's because you not only have lower chance for parry/dodge, but it also lowers parry-hastes. I would 100% prio this to your druid tank first, then w/e dps it benefits most after that. The mitigation benefit outweighs any dps gain when you first get into hyjal/bt prog.
Solarian trinket for warrior is pvp prio u would use it before arena start and swap.
Wrong, depending on your melee situation in the raid. If you have a physical group like (enhance, MS, fury, rogue, ret or survival) you want the MS to play it as the group buff is a bigger raid dps increase as an other trinket buffs the MS himself. Always PvE before PvP from a raid lead PoV.

Putting those shoulders in priority for enhance over ret is questionable. Ret needs every point of expertise they can get to reach the cap asap. When they have a 3.6 - 3.8 swing timer, can get up to 4 - 5 hits per swing, and every one of those hits is on the avoidance table, expertise has a bigger impact than a fast attacking dual wielder.
I agree, but ret has prio over enh on the belt, and the shoulders only have 10 expertise. Ret also can use the plate off-set shoulders.
@@Zatar Ret having a plate alternative isn't relevant. Enhance can have mail alternatives. And it isn't "only" expertise if Ret needs every point it can get.

The plate shoulders are much better relative to the mail shoulders. The main reason I lean towards shoulders to Shaman, is because the belt is such a big deal, but in fairness enhancement do have a lot of items they get, and pallies are lower on tier. Maybe it wouldn’t be too much to have them first on both.
Swing timer is irrelevant to the ret expertise argument, the only valid point is that we just roll expertise on every ability and seal swing we do. Its our biggest dps stat upgrade because of this.
I play in a loot council guild that rolls off verdant sphere, not happy about that 😂
Supposedly Lionheart is still better for ret this phase than the kaelthas one because of the strength proc

They are close but lionheart will always be better by a bit with good RNG and assuming you're always swinging at the boss. But because Kael's 2H sword's damage doesn't rely on RNG, it's damage will be more consistent therefore a safer option.

you mention the fact that a warrior wouldn't be prio'd on leather as they can use plate and want to be tankier, yet they shouldn't be given any tier? what do you give to warriors then?
I mentioned that looking at the chest, warrior has more chest options. I then followed that up by saying it might feel more fair to give it to Warriors anyway because they are not getting tier.
Feel like Zatar's mostly leaning towards knowledge of melee classes/specs.
As a caster lootcouncil i can say his knowledge of caster loot is also very very strong!

Great video but you seem to have forgotten one important thing which makes me think you don’t have feral tank in your raid. When a bear is not tanking then he’s in cat form doing dps. Pretty much the message I got from your video is to give it to anyone apart from the cat. Some encounters require only one tank and because a warrior/paladin can only do tank or dps and a feral can do both. By leaving the feral last in dps prio you are potentially having a dps drop in that encounter.
Were you talking about a specific item? Keep in mind feral gets tier very fast and it’s best for DPS and tank.
@@Zatar I’m talking in general. That the bear Druid gets its tier 5 fast goes without saying and that the feral bear/cat doesn’t get first choice in dps items is also a given. So bis dps items we will never get so what is the alternative. I play a Druid tank but struggle to find alternative dps items that won’t impact the dpslers in the raid. You speak of feral bear or feral cat as if some one would get in a raid just by playing cat but that’s not the case mostly. Mostly the feral plays bear 95% of the time and cat the rest but struggles to get dps gear because they are forever passing in favor of the dpslers. I mean look at wowhead/icyveins? It says for Druid tank dst is bis but like we would ever get it? Hopefully you can help the true ferals out there in finding alternative dps gear that won’t impact their raid but would also help them do decent dps. If you could do a video about that it would be great 👍
@@mtbalandin9594 but it makes sense though since you're not dpsing 100% of the time, a true dps will be DPSing 100% of the time so they will use the dps items more. AND tier pieces are bis for both bear and cat form, so even for dps you're getting a lot of pieces prio'd

Actually, Ret Paladins want the LHE more than the Twinblade. Its a slightly higher dps weapon, but the Twinblade is a very close second.

One thing I noticed you missed/didn't really mention is arms wars have the option to run 4 piece T5 with Blacksmith crafted Chest when they get KT sword. This would make T5 4 piece set have them ranked a bit higher.
They could be ranked a bit higher, but the wowhead guide states that the leather gear is higher Dps. I understand the value in the survivability, but there are some offset plate items as well.
All in all compared to some classes that can’t go with other options, arms just aren’t highest on the pecking order.
Seal of danzalar is BiS for S2 SL locks in arena. I’d be upset if I wasn’t considered for it.
As a raidlead you prio your prot pallys, the ring is insane for them.
PvPers are second prio.
I get the warrior/priest/Druid token is contested and maybe furies aren’t top prio but 4 pc t5 is bis dps wise for fury according to sims and its huge for survivability compared to the paper offset pieces which is extremely important for fury, so they def shouldn’t be completely neglected on this. Fury can easily top overall in ssc and you want your fury to survive. Any fury who doesn’t want 4 pc t5 has no idea what they’re doing

Keep in mind that there are offset legs, chest, and shoulders that are plate that nobody except ret / dps warriors want. Without giving warrior tier (besides helmet) they can still have a max dps leather set and a plate set that does slightly less damage and is tankier. It is hard to justify why a fury should be prioritized over other classes when they have access to both those options without tier (besides helmet).
Obviously they would still get their tier before it goes off-spec.

If you use an actual sim 4 pieces of t5 is just more dps and more survivability. Not trying to be aggro just annoying that ppl in the warrior community spout this nonsense with no basis in math or reality. It’s just “durrrrr expertise is gewdddd durrrrr you need expertise durrrrr”. And again, it’s not on you it’s on the warrior community

Resto shaman here; RE Blackfathom Wrists, think you might be falling into the common pitfall of overrating MP5. Shaman discord rates 1 point of Mp5 as being worth a paltry 2 healing power, the stat is very poorly budgeted as a whole unfortunately. Also not sure I understand why you’re saying these mail wrists are a bigger upgrade compared to previous BiS for holy pallies, seeing how holy pallies strictly have better gearing options than resto shamans, being able to equip plate.
TLDR: those wrists should be equal prio for both classes
Wind hawk is pretty popular for resto Shaman, and is far less common for paladins. That is a big reason why the wrists would make more sense to go to the paladin.
In regards to MP5, I am also following the guideline of one MP5 being worth 2 healing
To be clear I don’t mean that Winhawk are better, but they are almost as good.

Boomkins want to swap tier chest(for vestments) or tier shoulders(for illidari shoulderpads or mantle of elven kings) or tier legs(for spellstrike) not gloves..... as for nexus key shammies and boomkin should be prio cause there is no other upgrade for them cause they cant equip swords while mages can.
for shammies especialy this is a minor upgrade, they shouldnt even care. For mages its massive

@@memes420blaze 23 from shield and 18 from mindblade dagger cause there are no dagger upgrades in phase 2 while you get 51 from nexus staff, then you get more crit from intellect which you get 52 of off staff while you only get 30 from main hand off hand combo and the shield im talking about is the bis not the bagde one which gives 21 crit rating and 17 int which also with mindblade pales in comparison to the nexus staff
