An addendum: the Misery talent caused the target to take 5% increased spell damage from ALL sources, not just the priest. SO while Shadow Weaving was nerfed down to 10% extra shadow damage, they got an extra 5% for everyone!

One thing that wasnt said is Mending actually jump to the more damaged player around the range from the first target. Also if casted pre pull the healing aggro will go to the tank. So basically you always use it on a tank and it will be jumping non stop between the tanks. Another great use for it is when the raid is spread around a big area. So basically you need to use it on cooldown because is a huge HPS skill.
can u sum up the benefits of each race? im not sure what race i should play if they bring tbc, nether im sure if i should main my mage or try a SP .. :D

Priest is one of the strongest TBC classes, all specs are playable. Ideal 25 man raid should use 3 priests, 1 dic/holy hybrid for improved spirit buff, 1 Holy, 1 shadow. Disc/holy wasn't that used back in the day, but i've seen it been used on private servers and be nice, the buff justifies it, I can see it being more popular on official servers this time around. Priest is also fairly decent on 5 mans as healer or dps, having some cc which helps, and shadow priest is especially great in some dungeons like Black Morass or Shatered Halls where you have little to no time to drink between mob waves.
On Pvp I think it's one of the strongest classes, disc priest can be almost immortal, i remember playing on Netherwing private server, and there was a Dwarf disc priest called Salt, on Eye of the Storm he would mount and come to the Horde side of BG alone, all by himself, and he would stand on our side, mounted, 3-4 people would attack him and the dude wouldn't even dismount, or lose life or anything, he wasn't even running or anything, he would stand still mounted on our side being beat for fun, for ages. We simply had to stop attacking him or else we wouldn't do anything else, we would go to him and just /dance or /hug him, some would /bow, the horde bg chat would be filled with stuff like "IT'S POINTLESS DON'T ATTACK SALT, HE'S OUR FRIEND!!!111", he was kinda of a mascote of the server. Even after Horde had conquered all the bases, he would still face us and even with pretty much 15 people beating him it would take ages to kill him. Never before had I seen something like that.

No wonder my sPriest feels so weak in clasisc, it is! 😄 I first played priest in BC, didn't realize so many of its prime abilities weren't in classic.

Ok so how is the TBC going to work? Will you already need to have a level 60 on classic servers to play TBC? I’ve been through vanilla once so i decided to not play it again but I would want to play TBC again or even better WOTLK.
That question can only be anwsered by Blizzard not RUclips :) We all wonder the exact same thing.
About the shadowpriest in PVE you missed some stuff back in the day, maybe on private servers is different.
1. Vampiric Embrace would heal the party and more than double your aggro. So you always take the reduce aggro talent tree points
2. Shadow Word Death damage wasnt an issue besides Curator fight
3. Tier 4 was useless cause people would use Tailor Epiq Set
5. Vampiric Embrace (again) was really usefull with holy paladins, the healing also increased their mana per 5
keep up some nostalgic content
Additionally, for Holy:
1. Circle of Healing doesn't heal RAID members within 15 yards of your target. It will only heal the target's PARTY members within 15 yards. Also I'm pretty sure it had a small cooldown all the way until the Pre-Wrath Patch (it was like 5 seconds or something)

I mained shadow in TBC was super fun for me atleast, not the best DPS for sure but yeah the raid utility is nice.
im maining Shadow Right now and while Shadow isnt top on the dps list all guilds want one for that mana regen and misery debuff. Shadow's are highly sought after and at least now in Hyjal and Black Temple we get some good gear upgrades finally. haha

I sorta regret rolling a Priest in classic, I use to love the class but now wish I rolled a more casual friendly class like a lock or mage.
Haha the grass is always greener bud, I rolled a resto druid because I've played druid since I stayed in tbc and kinda wanted to "complete the circle" so to speak with classic.... I wish I had rolled a priest tbh. Druid healing just feels meh without lifebloom and their heals are so fucking slow to react to spile dmg!

Shadow priest is pretty casual for pvp... While all our pvp BiS comes from BWL, you can get a lot of really good pre-bis pvp gear from dungeons.
Yep, you're right. I've got a 60 priest, mage, and lock, my priest was my first 60 so I started raiding on him while I got the others to 60. I raid healed for a long time honestly and cleared bwl many times on him but it was a pain in the butt having to farm demonic runes and crap all the time. It got in the way of other crap I wanted to do. So I saw my raid leader looking for a mage for our raid in lfg and I told him I wanted to swap my mage to my main. It's been 3 weeks now and omg I'm so much happier lol.
I'm honestly just preparing for tbc though. I'm working on every class to 60 because so much is good and fun in BC! I had like 5 70s in tbc and loved them all, I mainly healed on a resto druid and a resto shaman and both were amazing. I can't wait!
zday40k I do agree but keep in mind I’m talking from a casual perspective. Priest is just so damn hard to farm anything. I play basically one day a week and whilst I love spriest I had to re spec because although PvP is my thing there is just no way I can realistically do any serious ranking. I a holy Priest and all I can do for farming is fish ( currently 30 - 40 gold an hour but boring af). I have an alt warrior on horse so I guess I just love to suffer. Hopefully I will enjoy my priest again when tbc comes out and PvP is way more casual friendly.

What is gonna be really interesting is the meta changes from private servers. There is like gazilion dps warriors now that will have a real trouble finding home. I am not convinced a lot of them is gonna want to reroll.
And of course if you are alliance you will have huge lack of shamans..... you basically want to have 20% of your raiders shamans ... one in every group....
So if you are alliance and planning to reroll - go for a shaman you will have a secure raid spot in pretty much every guild ;-)

Should TBC really re-release, I'm sure there are going to be more Shadowpriests this time because of all the knowledge..There wheren't as many Shadowpriests as there are now on most servers...
I mean, SPriests were all over the place in BC. There were multiple in most raids, and while Disc was way more common in PvP, Shadow was still pretty good, and you saw them there as well.
I remember to have always 2 shadowpriests in raids, discipline 1 and only sometimes
Are all of these videos about classes in TBC because Blizzard is going to add TBC to Classic WoW? I haven't played WoW for a few years, but I know of Classic WoW. If they keep adding the various expansions to Classic WoW, won't people just be playing current WoW while playing Classic WoW eventually?
On shadow is verry good on pvp but in pve is good for another casters for himselfs is not

1:35 Watching this Priest gameplay is actually painful. STOP. CLIPPING. YOUR. MIND. FLAYS.
Use a simple macro /use [nochanneling:Mind Flay]Spell Name and macro this to EVERY rotational ability. INCLUDING mind flay itself. Boom. You can now spam keys WITHOUT CLIPPING THE 3RD TICK.
Although you are correct his rotation is somewhat off, you have to appreciate that Spriests work off of a priority list. Mind Flay is filler, you can clip your 3rd tick to re-apply VT as it provides more output then a 4 tick mind flay.
Can't decide between pally or priest, if anyone has any suggestions I'd like to main healer.
At the end of the day, you should choose based on class flavor, that's what Vanilla/Tbc were mainly designed for.
Keep in mind, you have to choose a class, not a spec. Yes, you want to heal, but you have to enjoy the whole package.
How are you going to level up that healer, eh? You'll do it either Retribution or Shadow. Leveling takes a LOT of time so you have to choose between those two as well.
Paladin healing is very good, but it's pretty boring. You spam Flash of Light/Holy Light and... Use abilities that make Flash of Light/Holy Light better. HOWEVER, you do get those satisfying Bubbles that could save a wipe, or you can Bubble=>Hearthstone to save yourself from anything.
Priest has a vast arsenal when it comes to healing, which comes with a higher skill ceiling as well AND loads of fun. You also get to Mind Control.
Playing priest during TBC was literaly one of the best times I've had in my entire life. Highly recommend! You need to be willing to take your time to git gud though, and take into account you'll always be a squishie clothie which can be a problem for some people, especially in situations such as trying to do the damn dailies on the Isle or Shattered Halls and such.
What Quiem said applies pretty well, priest is a lot of fun and requires considerable skill to really optimize, paladin is super boring (when it comes to healing at least - pretty sure they're a lot of fun to tank with - in raids too, MH is practicaly designed for them, but there's plenty of other encounters too).
I mean yes, you'll be spamming CoH a lot but a great priest does a lot more than that, good FH/Shields/correct PoM usage save raids. And most of the tiers you've got to be fairly strategic with your mana, especially when you're doing a lot of dem save-the-lives FHs. Then there's GH, PoH, buffs etc.. priests have a LOT of buttons in TBC ;) This is important to note because there's still a few 1-button specs in TBC like hunters and locks, but yeah, holy priests are extremelly diverse and their spell usage is mostly situation dependent, which makes for very interesting gameplay.

Reav Resto shaman is the best for pve. Druid is the best for pvp. Priest is 2nd place at pve and pvp, thus flexible. Paladin is shit at pvp and has the worst group healing
How long does it take to hit cap?
You can be caped before going to your first raid in TBC, so it is very easy to cap a shadow priest due to Shadow Focus talent which increases your spell hit by 2% per stack. As 5/5 stack = 10% spell hit, so you need only 75.6 spells hit rating in order to be caped, as 1% spell hit = 12.6 spells hit rating.
@@Electro4ever1000 If your alliance you need even less since any dranei shaman (or you yourself if you pick that race) gives you the whole party 1% spellhit. Same for mage.

900g since the fly is 800 and mount 100. on endless atleast.
however for epic flight quest you still have to buy the 5k flying :/
@@davidrobertson6014 druids get flight shapeshift at 68 from their trainer for 9G, they only need journeyman riding to be able to use it which is 540g. its also instant cast and you can stay in form to get herbs etc. they dont need the mount or outland flight training. if they wanna be faster they can get it but its not needed. personally im gonna roll a druid first just so i can farm gold and get flying on an alt.
Shadowpriest could never compete with other dps classes in terms of damage. If you were even close to the SPs dps with similar gear you're doing something very wrong.
Even though rmp is great I think its worth mentioning priests had a multitude of great viable setups like spellcleave, turtle, sp+lock etc. Also the fact is they had the worst mana conservation and healing value in pvp but made up for it with great utility. It's more like a swiss army knife that can handle most situations than a full on healer.
