#TempestRising Игры
This is C&C 4 we deserved back in 2010 👍
This feels like the C&C4 we never got. Keep up the good work!
because we never got C&C4 and that's sad :(
Dope af. As an old school C&C guy, this is giving me nostalgia type vibes. My body is ready!!!
The source of inspiration is pretty obvious, and I'm all for it. Excited to see where you take it.
I was looking for a new gameplay video for months. Finally we got it. Thanks.
I loooooove the attention to details on every unit. Unit movements, vehicle suspension bouncing, tank guns recoils, lights on vehicles and so much more.
I love the atmosphere with the dark and a bit serious theme. Really hated Red alert 3 cartoony style in contrast to Tiberium wars amazing theme.
Love the music soooo much.
Love how the tempest looks and feels like.
Truly love the direction the game is heading as I grew up with CNC and Starcraft (34 years old now).
Also love the focus on Campaign since I am always scared to play multiplayer due to so many pro players.
Can't wait for a Dynasty gameplay and maybe a playable beta.
A few suggestions:
- Maybe adding infantry crush animation instead of them just falling since I see there is blood and gore already, so why not go all the way.
- Buildings exploding can use some of UE4 potential maybe instead of just a ball of fire and some pieces flying. Maybe larger pieces of them collapsing down on themselves giving you the feel of a heavy structure instead of paper.
- And maybe scale down infantry size 20%? (Maybe it's too late for this one)
I am not trying to be negative of course as I love the game so much already. I just have so much passion for this game and genre.
Please take your time with this. It can be extremely successful.
Lets Go! Loved Tiberian Sun and Dune! I've been craving some harvesters! Super exited for this!
The game looks soooo good, please don't mess this one up, one of the last promising RTS games we have...
Some prominent C&C community members are involved in it's development
@@AcidiFy574 it reminded me heavily of c&C
I like it, somethin like Generals, RA3 and Tiberium in one game
@@xXDESTINYMBXx Its basically a close to building a new C&C without having the licence.
Not the last promising rts. Check out BAR.
3:56, I still wish to hear that "Low Power" voice
5:11, oh, gates! Love them during the TibSun era
7:28, this could be the Veinhole Monster in TibSun if Remastered where the vine is animated to expand itself.
12:16, Mammoth Tank assembled, wow, it has Artillery mode too ala Juggernaut.
13:38, it ain't Obelisk of Light
14:30, Laser Crusader, ready for engagement
I wished that mammoth vehicle simply fired both of it's cannons simultaneously while in artillery mode
One thing. Doesn't zoom back enough. RTS is my favorite genre and I prefer zooming all the way in and all the way out to entire map level, like Supreme Commander. Limiting the zoom adds more finger management. LoL
The game looks awesome! Best thing I've seen in a long time.
Looks amazing! Hope more devs will brings back classic RTS.
Oh yea! That's the stuff right there! Love the C&C Collection and Tiberian Sun on the shelf :)
Eagerly awaiting.
I can't wait. This is must buy for any C&C fan.
Hey, lads! I'm so glad to see this.
1. Love the style and overall art direction.
2. Sound is amazing.
3. Nice structure and vehicle design.
4. Liked that buildings are physically built instead of just popping out.
5. Glad to hear that different rides have different playstyles. Looks like Dinasty has construction dozer...cars! "Lets get to work!"
6. Effectssss,
7. Weather effects are cool. Sad we didn't see it later in the game like random lightning and rain here and there. And changing lighting conditions during the weather would be great.
As for critique,
1. I really hope you will buff the damage or reduce HP as battles do not feel dynamic at all - gattling gun needs 10s to kill 3 guys? When that railgun came in at 14:40 and one-shot a tank I thought: "Oh, sht. Now that arty is gone". The next 24s were...underwhelming. Even if that arty could not 1v1 the tank it could simply retreat home by the time the tank takes half of HP. This removes high risk - high reward mechanics and feels arcade. I understand that might be done to reduce microcontrol, but being a casual player I would appreciate more dynamic battles or at least the option of it in custom games.
2. Textures and lightning. Everything looks so bright and contrast locally, but still kinda gray, as it really lacks overall contrast in light and harmony in textures. Let's take 3:43, what I mean is the flickering light has almost the same lightness as non-lit area and shadows are not that far from sun-lit area. At the same time rocks on the left have the highest value in the scene - the spec and normal maps are just too extreme even considering rain that was in the beginning. I would test the scene in a bit darker mood or with higher lightning contrast. Texel density is also pretty weird compared to some really good textures you have there.
3. I'm a bit frustrated with scale in the video. You already saw comments about infantry scale, but what about vehicles? At 13:36 we can easily compare and see that they are around the size of a pickup and ambulance on the right is bigger than any vehicle we saw in the video.
4. Can we zoom out further? Screen sizes are much bigger than 15 years ago, maybe it's time :)
I understand that the game is not finished and some or all of the points are on the agenda, put still why not share some observations? I'm glad to see the game and it's already on my wishlist to play with a 'slight' feeling of "good ol' days". Thanks for what you do and hope to see more updates later!
Wow looks amazing, I can't wait for this
Yes Yes! TAKE MY MONEY!! For real though, This is looking FANTASTIC!!! As close to a C&C game as you can get in my opinion, which is a HUGE win! Even down to the music. Amazing work! Thank you!!! Tears are in my eyes, truly!
Couple feedback:
Crates need a pickup sound
Tanks seem kinda weak/bugged. 3 gdf tanks doing no damage to tempest rafinery?
Siege tanks need more range+damage
Looks promising, keep up the good work!
Hopefully there is an open beta soon!! Love the c&c style❤
Awesome!. I get same feeling I got while I was playing Tiberian Sun long ago for first time. Great Atmosphere !
This looks awesome! I will be buying!
This looks super cool, can't wait :)
C&C is back! Looking good guys!
Looking good. I think the tanks need to do more damage to buildings, or in general everything has too much HP for the damage values. Also i think the camera needs be a big higher so you can see more.
Thumbs up for hp. Things simply don't die
Very excited for this game.
very excited!!
demo was amazing cant wait for full launch
C&C + Starcraft II + Doom
its been quiet all these months. glad this got released. can't wait to play!
Man you need to release some of the soundtracks used in this gameplay video
They're awesome
Also is there gonna be a blue-tiberium equivalent to the tempest vines ??
(Will it have a different color ?)
Between this and Sanctuary Shattered Sun it looks like sci-fi RTS games are back on the menu!
The blood spurting effect of soldiers after being hit is not obvious and lasts for a short time, looking forward to adding more intense blood volume special effects
Oh, yes, a clever move! I noticed Easter eggs: C&C Tiberian Dawn, Covert Ops., Tiberian Sun, Westwood Studios 10th Anniversary...
So hyped for this game 🔥🔥💪💪
What the C&C community has been wanting for years but never got it until now! I see the games too in the video and where the inspiration came from! Definitely Tiberium Wars vibes with the setting and hidden third (Alien/Vines I'm guessing) 😉 faction and it's gonna be awesome! Can't wait to play! 😁
I'm Braziliand and Me and my family are very excited to play this
Does this have an option for classic C&C style control? (left click select, left click action)
So can't wait for this game & Stormgate! If damn EA & Activision-Blizzard can't be bothered making any more RTS games, good to see smaller studios step up to the plate. Tempest rising is definitely 'spiritual sequel' to C&C & it's developers aren't subtle with its influences. since EA can't be bothered doing anything with this amazing franchise, beside ruining it by making crappy mobile games out of it, Hope this game & stormgate helps revives RTS genre.
Shoutout to the dude launching up Doom 3 BFG Edition, lol
What are those crates are? It's a Unit Firepower upgraded? Unit Armor or even Speed ala RA2 crates? Cash & Veterancy also but it needs an indication with EVA notification.
Nice.. but please fix the units scale that it looks realistic! Or are the tanks driven by tiny dwarves? ;D
And please an option to enable perspective view, not only isometric.
Will there be a playlist editor for the music?
No visual indicator for picking up those green boxes in the beginning?
Yeah... Wall building is back :D
I'm really rooting for this game. Will buy two copies, one for myself and another for my kid.
THE WALLS!!! Very much tiberian sun based!!!
Hello, thank you for this great video.
Is the game also ported to console?
I hope so
The crates should show what they give above the crate. I hope they add that.
I like the sounds of how Tempest will come back and die off. Serious old school RTS vibes. I certainly hope this game is either native to Linux or works well on Proton
I See Tiberian Sun behind him :D Ooooo my lovely game :-) Make little bigger maps like from Tiberian sun. Because CNC have smaller maps...
Can they burn your harvest? That be cool! Awesome gameplay!
Shut up and take my money!!
Did you guys notice the pop-cap in the corner?
😮
The game looks terrific and I can't wait for the release. The pacing in this showcase feels a bit slow to me, which would put more focus on proper deployment and positioning of fewer units. I would like that much better than just pumping the strongest units.
The C&C4 we should of gotten with the C&C3 mechanics.
The graphics are great. Pros tend to favor 20 to 40 minute games, 1.5 hours seems like a tough sell. How would that work in a tournament?
Since this match was recorded essially to advertise the game, its probably not played in real condition, but played at lower pace to showcase things.
C&C: Tempest Rising 🔥🥹🔥
Hi, so nice job first of all.
I think the battle and the overall game is not dynamic enough.
Less HP, faster building times, units with harassing strategies in small groups would make it better.
There should be 2 ways to go:
1 attack with a big army
2 or do some other smaller attacks on harvesters buildings etc.
My big guff so far, is the base building grid system, that seems to keep getting used by all RTS. I like the free feeling of being able to place a building down and rotate to any degree I want. Like C&C general, TW3/KW. Just makes base customization more enjoyable instead of having to stick to a grid.
Buildings seem to soak a lot of damage. That I feel needs to be addressed too.
Otherwise, I love the direction it's going. As a long time C&C fan, this for sure feels like it fills that gap we've been missing for sometime now. Just_ don't turn into TW4 or anything insane.
A grid-based system has one big advantag: its predicable and easily managable. In 8 hour comp stomps against the AI, you might want to build your base pretty. But in a fast paced multiplayer RTS, builing things fast and not breaking the layout (creating chokepoints, blockate or wholes in your walls) is essential.
Seems promising, just find some balance in damage between infantry and armored and listen to the community. Further... no complaints
Super excited for this. I just hope they don't release it unfinished. I didn't see Rock-Paper-Scissors... like game play.. and different tiers like.. Ground and air? Please blend the best of CNC with the best of SC2
15:42 this unit usefully guys seems like juggernaut cnc3 and titan tiberium sun. I hope developer can add RIG unit. I cant wait this cnc 😊.. i still waiting what developer can do ❤
Looks so much better design vise than Stormgate. Hopefully gameplay will be just as good as graphics.
Will there also be lighter maps?
The attention to detail ironicly creates a scenary that makes everyting look unclear, like shining pixels. Im not sure if this is because the map is so dark, and its a light issue, or the attention to detail actually makes the game harder to read?
why am I looking at the same cnc3 from 15 years ago with different skins?
..Little bit same and add little bit tiberium sun
I hope this supports ultra wide
One thing I've noticed, it takes quite time to destroy both units and buildings. Maybe they could increase the damage so that both units and buildings are destroyed a little faster.
This looks awesome, please please add lots of factions, it always bothered me that C&C only had 3 factions, factions let you play the game differently every time!
and its also hell to balance unfurtunately
I don't care about PvP at all. But I've been waiting for a successor to Command & Conquer for ages. I have but one question: are unit numbers uncapped - like C&C?
There's a pop-stat in the corner, right next to the radar/mini-map...
@@CnCDune Ah thanks. 300? I've just lost interest.
RTS forever ! 😊
did i just see siege tanks
Definitely takes a tad bit too long to destroy some buildings with some tanks but this looks awesome! I've been waiting for a C&C Generals game type to drop!
Visual looks too rough (units too merge with noisy environment, and they hard to notice, but at the same time are separated from it stylistically (bright colours vs Unreal Engine gray"realism")). Not sure what is not right, exactly.
But i am in for gameplay
game look great gameplay feels amazing.. But im kinda worried about proportions.. I dont like infantry same size as my jeeps etc.. They seems almost bigger ten yours buildings :/ ( sorry for my english, but seems to me i am only one who doesnt like that proportions )
Reach out to big RTS youtubers to play this game. Grubby. The viper etc...
What's the point of the fence if the enemy units can just sit outside it and shoot into your base? The fences should be farther out from the base buildings to give them a defensive value otherwise you are wasting resources building them.
Mostly to avoid engineers i guess
Frank's got some bad micro, but this looks great!
Ok seriously, why are vehicles bigger than buildings???!!!
COME ON!
Pretty much command and conquer tiberian sun.
FIRST! Okay okay, maybe second, but anyway, this game looks awesome, LETS GOOOOO
This looks different enough from Beyond All Reason to share the same space. Please do not advertise it as the best RTS though. I love the basebuiding aspect (gates).
I think buildings should be rotatable to make it balanced and also to make the base building experience better. I think most people would appreciate this feature. There should also be ways to expand your base to any territory. Also from what I know, you were going to add heroes and special missions to unlock them. There should be many different hero units with various abilities and they should have a good impact in the battle. It would add more complexity, diversity and strategy to matches. Apart from that, this game looks amazing and very promising. Been waiting many years for a good RTS in a Red Alert-ish theme. Looks like it's finally here. Looking forward to play!
Concerns I have so far:
The unit acceleration and response is really slow in there.
Resources being infinite I'm not a fan of in a PvP setting because it'll make the game stall out without limits (though, I suppose in StarCraft terms CnC is a "one base" game predominantly)
Not a fan of the minimap disappearing and forcing you to manually pan everywhere. Really sucks when you don't know the map and someone kills a generator or you just underestimate your power supply.
The vehicles look largely the same, as do the units and infantry can be hard to distinguish from the landscape. The vehicles are a bit better than I usually see from a modern setting RTS though
Pathfinding seems ok, I imagine it's not super great due to the maps having a lot of large open areas which is what SC1 did to get around a lot of its pathing issues
So far the damage pace looks good, a bit on the slow side. Units die quick enough it's not a slog but slow enough it isn't game over when you look away or blink.
Every faction having its own resource is interesting and hopefully adds the depth and uniqueness factions need in an RTS
I'm hoping the campaign has meta mechanics (choices you make between missions that affect future ones, like purchasing unit upgrades in StarCraft 2's first campaign or selecting different unit options before engaging in a mission in its later campaigns), because otherwise missions will be largely flat and only offer the experience once.
The Game looks good so far. Please update the damage tank do to buildings. It takes a long time to destroy a building with tanks. Also update the flamethrower graphics, flame looks cartoonish.
Red faction did not even retaliate. Were you scared of the length of the video? And, you had chosen a nice location where you can defend your base until your assault. 🙈
If EA doesn't do it, someone has to ;)
Only gripes:
Running over infantry maybe op?
Infantry is YUGE. Taller than the tanks.
Point defense is weak af.
HD envinroment\models are perfect, but readability\clarity is poor. By the way I am waiting this game!
Is this russian war? No air unit
I am already in love with Tempest Rising, just my honest reaction is that it looks a bit unappealing visually, because the map looks a bit unresponsive,I wish great success for it,you deserve the IP much more than its owner ❤
Sanctuary: Shattered Sun and Beyond all Reason > Tempest Rising
Looks more like another SC2 clone sadly. The only difference is base building and harvesting so far. They should add neutral tech structures, garrisonable buildings, varius landscape instead of tight corridors and possibility of units formation instead of huge blob of units.
i must say this has a lot of inspiration. Minelayer from 2000s RTS about plastic troops, a lot from red alert 3, environmental factors, etc. You can also occupy enemy buildings, which is a great plus to me. A lot was unshown, but if the team was from the RA3 team, these are def there.
@@DominicXThienohazard One can only hope.
That horrible rock that is playing in background. Hope there will be other soundtrack or possibility to switch it off.
just launch the damn game ..
Wish this was coming to consoles
Gameplay looks dope, but since the devs asked for feedback: the commentary is superficial and dull and doesn´t really give any indication of the mechanics or depth of the game. I am not sure if this is partially due to the (lack of?) skill of the players, but I would be a lot more excited about the game if the commentary revealed more of the tactical and strategic potential for depth; unit choices, and counters, movement, map control and area denial, harassment, scouting, tech tree, so on and so forth. As it is, the commentary mostly states the names of units and the features of the map, but there is not a lot of indication that the game will be competitive or that the players are engaging in complex thoughts/actions to carry out their plans. In fact, the commentator is quiet for extended periods of time, which shouldn´t really happen; if Artosis can talk continuously for hours on end about a 20-year-old game that he´s played to death, you should be able to talk continuously about something entirely new and exciting. I´m aware that you want the gameplay to "speak for itself", but in terms of building interest this approach doesn´t really work; contrast this video with for example the early pre-release commentaries by David Kim when Starcraft 2 was being hyped up and you´ll see a huge difference in the quality of commentary and how it reveals the depth of the game a lot better. As an avid fan of competitive RTS, I think there´s a lot for you guys to work on in order to better showcase your product.
Not tryna hate though, the game looks great and I´m stoked for the release!
That will probably Come. This is just to see the gameplay with its sound, so we do not have a commentator all over. Now we seen it with the sound and pvp, then next time they might explain everything.
man if you guys need some beta testers or something hit me up lol
RTS in 2023 looks as same as in 2003
Despair
Детализации зажали что ли? CnC 3 выглядит лучше хер знает какого года выпуска. старкарафт 2 выглядит лучше, алло!
What kind of bronze league play is this?
