Just got done watching a 3 wood challenge from a year ago (gm golf) and was thinking it would be cool to do side by side swings of each good good member before and after Grant worked with them
Excellent subject matter, as the 3 wood is the most wonderful and frustrating club to hit off the fairway. Matt is the perfect guy to choose for this shot as he has a natural opening of his wrists through impact, yet with tremendous speed, constantly rotating his body through the swing, causing a great burst of speed, hitting it dead square strike (smash factor) through the ball, with a slight fade on it. Well done lads!

Hey guys, love your amazing videos, you guys are so talented!!! Would be nice to see a video with tips on take away backswing and downswing to fix the bad habit of coming over the top from out to in and help getting more shallow / in to out... I guess is it part of the reason why my Club head speed is under 95 and my drive is at 245 250 yards max with a slice that i now control better. With a stronger grip it became a fade but i still have a hard time to shallow and keep that lead arm-club angle in the downswing until right before impact (waist high) I open that angle to high so I come over the top out to in. I'm sure a lot of amateur golfers have the same problem. Thanks
Love the content as always guys! How about a video about working the ball? How do you hit a draw, fade, higher flight, lower flight? The dreaded 40 - 50 yard pitch?
Really want to see a video on how exactly your hands should be moving through your swing. I feel like sometimes I tend to roll my hands open a little. I think other might struggle with the same
You should try putting an alignment stick perpendicular to your target line an inch to the right of your right foot and swing without having the club hit the stick. This will naturally keep the hands in front of the shaft and your wrists hinged throughout impact

Some on course management stuff far as attacking certain pins or not according to pin placement on the green. What would be a green, yellow or red light pin for the different guys in the group. I like how they say it's similar to hitting long irons. I love hitting my 5-wood off any lie, but hate/can't hit my 3-iron which when hit well, goes 10 yards shorter than the 5-wood.
The fairway woods are extremely difficult to take a divot i'd say, the curved face and sole are not like the flat or angular shape of irons and should not dig in as easily (sometimes using a fairway or rescue wood helps get through the rough more easily and not "catch" or "grab" like the irons chopping through the grass as the subtle curvature of the woods more "pushes" the grass to the side more gently). A video on the right hand through the golf swing would be great. There’s a lot of focus on left hand grip position and it’s movement but I feel like the right hand affects my swing in some major ways and not sure what’s truly causing it!
Hey?the right hand doesn't really play a part in your swing it's basically just a support to try and keep the club from swaying all over the place. You really should not be concentrating on what your right hand is doing it's all about the left hand(if you are a right handed golfer of course).

Would like to see how you guys fade and draw your shots with irons, hybrid, 3 wood and drive. I feel like everyone has their own style or technique on how to hit a fade and draw.
Ideas for videos: I am now in my second year of golf and I’m not saying golf is easy by any means but I have been able to pick up the sport very quickly just being an athlete my whole career. Now what I’m noticing is my weakest part of my game is my approach shots and my driver! I cannot for the life of me hit my driver consistently and I struggle hitting greens as well. On average I shoot a 92 every time I play but that score could always be 5-7 strokes less if I hit more greens and either figure out my driver or just take a 4iron. Help me out guys because I am absolutely addicted to golf!
Sorry to every other comment but I have the best idea it's simple just 10 drills to do at the range. How they work why you want to practice this. These can be swing tips for certain clubs like 3 wood or like grant talked about in the beginning a 50 yard bunker shot. Golf is a game with many particular problems that have preferred methods of execution.
Can you do a series on here where you take a very amateur player and walk through their swing issues from start to finish? It’s always fun watching you guys play and these labs videos are fantastic, but some of us noobs might relate better to watching someone with similar skill get taught/adjusted in some of these videos.
in Garrett's heydays' they did shots off a 3 foot slanted trailer. so why not have stacked elevated tree house tee boxes instead of separate tee box areas? oh yeah great good good labs segment. off the tee box, however should have followed them with off the fairways and in the rough and dippy up or down hill area's on a course.
To hit the draw close your stance slightly and go to a slightly stronger grip. Play the ball a little further up...and practice. Its an effective shot when your 200+ out and need to bend it around trees.
I want to see you take a high handicap golfer and do a series coaching them with scoring goals (like breaking 90/80 etc.) But basically you coaching someone who really needs it with measurable results.
Here's the thing, I'm not a great golfer. My best is 81 on a 6000 yd course and I'm usually high 80s low 90s on a harder course. But I'm strange. I hit my hybrids and shallow face Ping 3 wood off the deck nearly perfect every time. My three wood is only about 10 yds shorter than a well struck driver. It must be something about my swing because I sometimes struggle with my irons and driver. I almost want to get those Cleveland Launcher irons that are pretty much all hybrids. I think it might be mental because I know the bounce is going to help me. Maybe because I'm a sweeper of the golf ball? Anyone have thoughts?
@@thecringegolfer I'm not sure. I don't seem to cast at all. My swing path is definitely in to out. My normal ball flight is a draw or nasty low hook with my irons. I really don't think I've ever sliced an iron below a 6 iron. Of course I slice the driver occasionally. I think everyone has.

@@warrenbrowne1569 Thanks for the info. I’m never really focused on what my right hand is doing through the swing, but I’ve found right hand grip has a big impact on my ball flight. Maybe I’m just doing it wrong 🤷♂️ lol
@@ABelugaWhale your right hand should only be use to cradle the club through the swing I would say if you're having problem try and loosen the grip, the pressure in your grip plays a massive part on your swing too tight and you're likely to slice it,to loose and you're likely to hook it.
@@warrenbrowne1569 will definitely give it some reps on the range that way .. I’ve come to feel that a “stronger” more thumb on the left of the club grip can give me a draw and a “weaker” one a fade. Could all be sub-conscious that it’s the right hand and is actually the left … I’m a lucky-to-break 100 kinda golfer tho haha
These videos are awesome but the type of editing that Rick has with the graphics would elevate this channel to an insane level
Good content I struggle a lot with fairway woods off the deck
What is a simple way to get a handle on the two way miss? To gain confidence to element half of the fairway?
Are the guys able to share their handicaps? Always have thoughts about where they all sit considering the skills they show.
Good good video: how to increase or decrease attack angle. For the people thinning
/chunking irons or swinging down on driver
20 yard one hop stop shots or how to transition from range to course. I can hit range balls perfect but sometime on the course
Ball striking video!
Great content guys 👍
I would love to hear everyone’s mental approach to the game! Golf is a very mental game and I would like to hear the best mental thoughts from the bests!
Putting/green reading!!
Putting stroke consistency please! 😁😁
I need help learning how to keep a lower, more penetrating ball flight. I launch everything super high, and can't seem to keep the ball low for the life of me. It doesn't matter what club i hit with, it all goes super high, and I'm pretty sure that causes me to lose a good bit of distance.
Would like to see how you guys fade and draw your shots with irons, hybrid, 3 wood and drive. I feel like everyone has their own style or technique on how to hit a fade and draw.
How to help keeping shoulder in and not hooking it
I like that question, how much would Matt’s par 4 hi1 club sell for?
Ideas for videos: I am now in my second year of golf and I’m not saying golf is easy by any means but I have been able to pick up the sport very quickly just being an athlete my whole career. Now what I’m noticing is my weakest part of my game is my approach shots and my driver! I cannot for the life of me hit my driver consistently and I struggle hitting greens as well. On average I shoot a 92 every time I play but that score could always be 5-7 strokes less if I hit more greens and either figure out my driver or just take a 4iron. Help me out guys because I am absolutely addicted to golf!
How about a super slow mo of all good good swings and maybe some analysis of pros swings
Yessir I'm the goat like Matt
I get mine airborne by leaving a very shallow divot. Can't hit it slightly upwards.
Sorry to every other comment but I have the best idea it's simple just 10 drills to do at the range. How they work why you want to practice this. These can be swing tips for certain clubs like 3 wood or like grant talked about in the beginning a 50 yard bunker shot. Golf is a game with many particular problems that have preferred methods of execution.
driving sequences would be a big help
I end up hitting a 7 wood. Might not get the same length.....but will go about 200...and get nice loft.
Fairway bunker shots! 50-200 yds. To me the most difficult to be consistent at. Any help would be appreciated!
A new record has been set. No mention of a hole in one for 2 whole minutes! Wow!
can't lie. if i hit a hole in one on a par 4 i'd talk about it every conversation forever hahaha
A good future video idea would be about putting. And the thing that I bought of people struggle with expecially newer players
I’m kinda the same way and I also don’t know why 😂
@@davido5496 no, I don't really take divots at all, even with wedges. I just bruise the grass.
@@rhull3939 Then, it is as Cringe Golf said above. Im a sweeper as well, but I hit just enough down. I dont really know how to get steeper to be honest, because if I knew, I would fix my own problems! :D
@@davido5496 haha. Seriously. I think I need to go for some lessons. I think I could be pretty decent. I've gone througha couple 9 hole stretches at even par and even 1 under once. It's so frustrating not being able to figure it out.
I see so many videos on you tube about how to eliminate your slice... I need to know how G-rat got rid of his snap hook
You guys gotta do an old "connico minolta swingvision" skit for these labs videos!
I know I spelt that wrong lol
If this lesson came from anyone else besides the 3 wood master himself. We would have a problem. Thanks for the advice hole in one god! Dont let anyone in good good forget you need to start talking about hole in one again
I wanna see the one bounce and check wedge shot!
Love the socks Matt
Please do a video on maximizing speed, I hit the ball solid but I know I swing slow and when I try to swing with more speed I play worse because it only speeds up my backswing
Would like to see some more instruction with the ladies. My wife just started playing again after about 15 years and I'm trying to help her just make good contact with the ball. She is about 5ft and doesn't put much power behind the club, so I am just tying to get her focused on technique.
top tips for mid handicappers with slower swing speeds
ideas for videos: How to become more consistent in ball striking and shot shape because that is what really separates a good golfer from the average 18 handicapper.
matt dont know what he doing but swing is still decent. micah and grant saved this lesson
Awesome. A fade is the only way I can hit a 3 wood.
Here for Matt's HOLE IN ONE
Grant: "Looks like he's about to break his back"
lol that didnt age well. Glad your back is doing better, Matt. You are playing some seriously good golf !
Patiently waiting for the "Hit every drive perfect like Grant" video.
You should do backspin with bubbie he spins the ball a lotttt
mental game tips!
