Wow..anyone hear after playing Red Dead 2? This is some heavy stuff. Playing the game the first time around was great, but getting to know how it was before. Even more powerful
I cried so hard at this. I miss this. This wasn't just a game. This felt like my second life. My childhood dreams, everything I've ever wanted. Remembering this feeling I went into my closet and pulled at the old 360 and replayed Red Dead Redemption, just one more time. We only get one life, but this felt like I was living another. And just hearing that voice again, I was bursting into tears. A voice like my fathers.
CoD does have epic moments, though mostly in the older titles, like the original Modern Warfare. The nuke, Gaz's quick but impactful death. Then Soaps death in later games, etc.

It's funny how Rockstar is able to make much more emotional impact on us when they just simply add music as a background of the gameplay and nothing that special. And other big game studios tend to make big budget moments with lots of effects and shit to affect us as much as possible and the result is just super boring and generic. No game studio is even close to Rockstar Games.

GTA IV story is much much better and has better physics, GTA V was really short and the story was really meh. The only hype I had with the game was the rumored DLC for story but they ignored it because they kept milking the shitty GTA Online with their sharkcards, I hope it doesn't happen with Red Dead Online. But hey, RDR2 is a better game than GTA V so there's that.

I honestly don't think Jack returned to normal life. Ross's wife and brother and the agent in Blackwater all saw his face. Him shooting Ross makes Arthur's and John's sacrifice pointless.

I know this sounds corny but this scene was so so beautiful and emotional the whole time you play the game up until this point your fighting and playing all these missions for John to get back to his family and then on the journey back you have this amazing song play about how all John wants to do is be with his family and he finally gets it this is one of the many reasons why this is my 2nd favorite game of all time.

The thoughts that must of ran through John's mind on that ride to Beecher's Hope. Seeing his former father figure, the man that taught him how to read and write and took him under his wing just die even after all what happened. He must of had thoughts about Arthur too.

I was looking at the mountain after the mission ended thinking “man everything from rdr2 led to this moment, everything that happened ended here and only John’s left standing,” and some coyotes jumped me and made the song stop 😭
This game has two of the most unbelievable moments in gaming. The ride in to Mexico, and this. When this hit me out of the blue at 3am, it was incredible. I was expecting moments like this in RDR2, and it never happened....
Wow you sure timed that arrival perfectly. I made a capture of my same experience of this song, different route. But it was so emotional. Especially with Dutch's ending. Not knowing their history at that time (we do now after RDR2) you just knew there was a LOT of history and you could feel how hard it was for John. Incredible story writing.
the first time i done this mission i cut trought the forest and, after a short ride in the woods the landscape open up into the great plains, with the sun about to set in the distance and a perfect timing solo (the one that start at 3.20) begins while still galoping home, it was glorious to say the least.
I still get emotional when I go back and play RDR1 and I get this part and the song starts up it's just such a good moment because of the journey you go on with John Marston and you come what seems to be the end of it and this great song plays after Dutch's death then it's triumphant and it just gives you or at me at least this triumphant feeling that's just I did it

7 years ago I beat rdr1 and it was one hell of a ride playing as john , 1/2 years ago I beat rdr2 twice and it is really an emotion story playing as arthur, just like its predecessor , rockstar games is going down in my books as the best game developers in terms of a good story . I am currently replaying rdr1 beating it again to relive those awesome moments playing as john.
When the mission is over and the music is playing you know you can still do other things, stranger missions, maybe hunt or just put off the game. But no, the music just obligates you to run at your family

Man rdr1 is an all sad story even after John dies because Jack is just there all by himself when Abigail died
