- Last night Bethesda screened the first showing of the Fallout TV show trailer, but it was only for those in attendance at Gamescom. Not for you Fallout fans!!! FFS!!!
Thankfully I'm here to do my usual deep dive and keep this fantastic fanbase that Bethesda seems to hate updated.

So there you have it. We have waited so long to see Fallout in live action and Bethesda hide the footage at a convention. Fair play to some of the viewers here who predicted they would do this at this show.
So grainy footage aside what did you think of what we got to "see" here?
Yes one of the commenters on an earlier video said to expect the trailer at Gamescon. It is a very short trailer, maybe they will put a longer more complete one up online soon.
Watching this again, if we look past the poor way they have released the footage into the world, there is a lot of info here.
@@dreed8358 Was it a remarkably good guess from that guy or did he know something. Let's hope the full public trailer gets released very soon. Bethesda just seem to keep shooting themselves in the foot, over and over again.
@@NTesla369 Yeah for sure, I think if I made the video today now I've calmed down a bit I would have focused on that more. In fact I proberly missed a trick, a lot of the other channels would have turned out three videos. RUclips does favor short regular content at the moment.
@@FalloutPBC I guess you could have done a reaction video, your deep dive analise and then a rap up of all past speculation confirmed by the trailer. Personally I like the way you do it now as a bit of a sumery of everything but I tent to prefer long form videos.
There is a lot to unpack here, I'm going to have to watch this back again to take it all in. Very disappointed to have to wait for next year, I was expecting the show around October/November time.
Judging by the time it takes other shows I was hoping for that sort of window too. 2024 is so vage it could be 16 months from now.
@@FalloutPBC Lets hope it's like you said in the video and it's just the strike holding things up.
@@NTesla369 The show finished filming in March I think? But it could be they need to do reshoots and pickups. The strikes could still be causing problems for shows that were virtually finished.
@@FalloutPBC Plus they like to have the actors do the rounds in the media. They are banned from promotional work at the moment too.
Rewatching this now in the light of everything we now know you did a good job with your speculations. Hawthorne is an interesting one, I wonder where they will fit in? I feel they will cg that whole background out. Also this looks like Maximus at the door, do you think that flight suit is under the black jacket we see in the trailer?
He seems to me to have a shirt under the black jacket in the trailer, not the flight suit. Perhaps he graduates to Knight at some point during the show?
I agree it's deeply frustrating how we are treated. Why not just release it? We have waited years for this! Why make people watch grainy phone captured footage.
Yep, it makes no sense to me to hide the 1st ever official live action footage from such a beloved franchise.
@@FalloutPBC I could understand them showing some exclusive footage at a con AFTER the main trailer had been public. But you are right, doing it this way is just silly.
Exactly!! 👍
@@dreed8358 I agree will that. I have no problem with showing some exclusive footage at a con, just not before public release of something! I said above in another thread, Bethesda just seem to be addicted the shooting themselves in the foot and hurting the fanbase at every opportunity.
@@drderelict7987 They showed it to a small crowd at Gamescom after the Starfield presentation I believe. Very very strange way to debut such an important moment for the fanbase.
Thank you for another great video that all looks really cool. I have to say though, I’m filled with both excited anticipation and deep disappointment at Bethesda. What the hell are they playing at? 🤷🏻♀️🙄
Yeah, I feel the same way! Excited about the series and frustrated with Bethesda's poor communication and treating Fallout like an after thought once again.
Hopefully it's good, so tried of crappy shows these days.
I'm hopeful too. Amazon have a mixed record for sure, but they do put out some really good shows.
Great video, thanks!
At this point with this tv show and Fallout 5, i look forward to 2 other things, new videos from your channel and other great channels, and playing fallout4 building cool stuff!
Bethesda talk of a new show and a new game is annoying now, time to show the product and stop playing games.
Much appreciated!
I agree it's time for them to show their work.
@@FalloutPBC I'm glad it's not just me that thinks it's been like we have seen nothing but Todd for seven years.
Todd says this will one day come out and be the greatest game ever. Todd says look at us we are amazing. Todd says it's close now honest. Todd says well ok it's not close because we are making it even bigger and greater than you can imagine. One day they actually make a game that just works.
@@NTesla369 I see Todd as a bit of a Captain Ahab. Starfield is his whale.
Great video! I would of had the Brotherhood turn up right at the end of season one. Much like their arrival in F4, it would have been a great cliffhanger ending and a real mystery and a draw for all the viewers not familiar with Fallout or the lore.
It would make sense for the neutral viewer and would make a great moment, but I guess they couldn't resist throwing all the big toys in from day one.
@@FalloutPBC Isn't that one of the big problems with Tv shows these days? They just don't take the time to grow and build organically.
@@NTesla369I agree pacing is very important in a story. If you do too much too soon you lose the viewer.
@@SomeRUclipsrGuy @NTesla369 you guys are spot on, pacing is vital and so often rushed these days. If they throw too much in too soon they will lose the casual viewer. Fallout is complex in a lot of ways, it needs time to build.
@@FalloutPBC Maybe if they had to show the BOS they could save the enclave for the end of season.
Thanks for the update, it looks like it's going to be an entertaining show. 🙏
Hope so!
Snakes will be snakes.
True.
