I don't think anyone is disappointed about the cars. I mean they have similar old fashion classic cars like this in the original fallout games so it fits
@@FalloutPBC I'm very disapointed with the cars!! The atomic-powered cars are an iconic part of the Fallout universe. The cars they have used are totally jaring and out of place.
@@PeterHarlequinWhite To clarify, in my earlier videos a lot of people hoped to see the car designs from the modern Fallout games in the show somewhere as well. A viewer did point out that a few car sized green screens were on some of the car heavy sets. Although I think we all agreed was impossible for them to build the whole range of the atomic models full size, we hoped they would CG at least one or two Bethesda era Fallout cars into the background here and there. I should also mention, a quick reminder that this is still only a trailer and it's quite possible that CG models of the modern Fallout cars may not have been finished in time for the trailers. They may still have time to be added in the final show. Don't forget we haven't seen the Red Rocket set in the trailers at all, and that was the set with the most green screens. So there is still hope if you are a fan that prefers the look of the BGS era games.
Fallout 3 REALLY grabbed my attention back in '08. I thought I was weird for thinking the post-apocalyptical genre was so captivating. Here we are today, many sequel games later, and now a T.V. series ...I think I was onto something😉👍
Think that's an RPD, the predecessor to the RPK. It has shorter front furniture and the "drum" is really more an ammo belt holder. The RPK is a magazine fed gun that can take normal AK mags, while the RPD was belt fed. The RPK is also more or less just an AK upgraded to act as a light machine gun while the RPD was built as an LMG from the start and isn't really related to the AK design. And that's maybe a BAR perhaps in the hands of the other soldier? The guy on the table also seems to have a PPSh-41. Rather odd choices at first thought, I assume they're meant as Chinese weapons, but those wouldn't be all that common on the west coast surely? They would be good choices though to fit the 50s vibe, the Chinese made extensive use of their own variants of Soviet weapons.
I'm shocked they are putting all the episodes up at once. Those of binge watch it will be dropping spoilers for those of use that want to take our time.
I agree. It will cause problems for some people. I don't want to binge the whole thing either, but it will be hard to avoid spoilers. It will be hard for me to do episode reviews now as well.
There is definitely a lot to unpack from this trailer. First thing I have to say is, that I’m more confident that this show will be great. I think definitely they got a lot right here. As far as the scenery, the costumes, the weapons and locations I’d say it’s pretty spot on. Now I’m going pick on “RE welcome to raccoon city”, because they got a lot of those things right in that movie. But story was a huge flop. So for me the discrepancies in costumes or the cars not being right, or this that or the other. As long as the story is on point, I can look past the lil stuff. The one thing that will be a struggle for this show than say the “Halo” show (Garbage!), there is only one ending. You play a level, you beat a level. Fallout is open world and has multiple endings. You also can compete the missions/quests in what ever order you choose. So with that being said, everyone one has different play styles. So even with having three main characters to the show, you can’t cover everyone’s ideal fallout experience. So it definitely doesn’t come as a shock with people being upset with certain things. Not everyone plays the game the same. This is a factor I hope they did take into consideration. So if they don’t show a certain weapon, armor set or PERK you prefer. I’d try not to be super critical, there is really a lot to this game. Plus if it does well, gotta save something for a season 2. Can’t “CRAM” it all in one “can”. (You like what I did there lol) Well that’s my 2cents, I got more thoughts but who knows if anyone will read this far into the comment lol
I agree, it's exactly what one of the writers said in a recent interview. So they are really aware of that problem. If I remember the article correctly he said that was the reason they had three main leads. They wanted to tell the story from three totally different perspectives. He felt that was as close as they could get to replicating players having very different experiences.
@@FalloutPBC think this was a smart move on their part. Just know some people can get a lil crazy about there adaptations to film, whether it’s from a book or video game. We as the viewer need to keep this in mind when we are watching, because we are probably not getting a “only pipe weapon” run or “low intelligence build”. Now, Not hating on anyone that gets upset about something that isn’t accurate or to their taste. I myself just dogged two of my other favorite franchises film adaptation. Just remember your play style might not be what they go with because thats a tall order to fill in a, already story crammed game turn to film.
@@thecoasterdad9808 Very ture! It's such a broad game and it means totally different things to different people. Hell my own view of Fallout changed a lot over the years.
This trailer is much better than the teaser! Much better. I agree with pretty much everything you said. But I was also just as confused. I did wonder if the Ghoul takes Lucy prisoner?
@@FalloutPBC That's a great spot Wolfie! We seem to see Lucy with the Ghoul at the start of the show and with Max at the end. We don't seem to see them all together?
Watching this again tonight after watching the trailer about ten times today. I had a thought about the part you said was oddly edited with the lady with the Laser pistol. I wonder if we are seeing three different parts mixed together there. 1- She is with the military looking troops ( As you said most likely NCR ) 2- She is with what you said looks like a militia group. 3- We see what looks like NCR militia fighting the brotherhood at the observeratory. You guessed that this is all connected but I'm not sure. The building she is coming out of looks different in the second clip?
I think you are right! I watched it again and I agree it could be three shots. I'm now not sure the lady is still NCR in the second clip I think she could be a raider!! The battle between the BoS and the NCR is for sure and the NCR there do have the rough militia look. But it could be a coincidence. Her raider group and the NCR militia could be two separate things?
@@FalloutPBC I wonder if the fact that you noticed the Vault Tec sign outside the observeratory is relevant? Do you think Vt could have been using this place as a secret lab?
I showed some of it in my video covering the outdoor sets. There were a lot of videos around at the time from local residents, it was filmed in a busy area, right on a main road. I couldn't include it in the video though, for obvious reasons.
