In addition, I recently also decided to use the throttle cut switch to start stop timer number two as a stopwatch. I'm also playing around with using the middle position of switch F as the reset for timer 2.
Having watched a good number of videos of the NX transmitter, I have repeatedly formed an impression that many videos gravitate to impress, rather than inform the observer. This is not the case of your videos. Format and speed are very important to convey the subject which in many cases is new and at times confusing. Thank you again for such effective contribution to this hobby. Looking forward to many more videos from you!!

You have to enable the second timer. If you have and want to remove. Settings > Timer > Scroll to highlight timer 1 > Push enter with scroll wheel > Scroll right to Timer 2 > Enter on Mode > Change to Inhibit
Thanks for this video, as well as the whole NX-setup series. Following your instructions I have activated a second timer as stopwatch to be used as a total-flight timer. The first timer starts and stops using the throttle stick. The second timer starts when throttle is above a certain percentage. How do I stop the second timer? I would want to activate a switch or key press to stop the total flight-time as soon as plane has landed. Currently it just keeps running until cleared.
@@BDTennessee I had considered that, but when gliding or doing thermals the throttle would be 0%. Another thing I considered was controlling the total flight timer via a flight mode switch having 3 modes:Taxi - TakeOff/Land - Cruise. Timer 2 (as stopwatch) would start with switch values 1 and 2, and stop with value 0 (Taxi). During the 20 years I have been flying I have never user, nor needed flight modes. Not sure I will be able to pick up the habit of using the flight mode switch only for the timer. We'll see. I posted the question on rcgroups, A first suggestion was to use the throttle-cut to start/stop the timer. But taxiing from/to the pits would then still be logged as part of the "total flight time".
Hi BD, the timmer I'm talking about is the small display in the centre of the screen, just above the line of the rudder and aileron trim bars. giving the total time you have either worked or flowm the plane. I personally find it so off putting. I've watched your video a couple of times now amd just can't pick up how to remove it. Thank you for your help.
Hello BD,nice informed Video, but I have a Question:Can I set that the Timer is on correct Time(Motortimer) after Turn off the NX8 ??? sorry for my bad english Best regards from Germany Ralph
You have 2 timers built in. Model which is total time on that model and integrated which is total time of radio. You could change "One Time Active" option. Bump the throttle and then back down when starting nitro/gas motor and it will run until radio is turned off
Greetings, I have problems with my nx8. I don’t want to hear the voice commands that are pre-installed, I don’t know if you have already had any problems with that and if there is any way to correct it and put it to work, I hope you can help me with that and thank you.

I need to change Flight Modes about 15-20 seconds after the throttle is advanced past 25% when taking off. Is there a way to set a voice command, that I can set 15 seconds after the throttle goes past 25%? At that point, I need a reminder to switch my Flight Mode from "Take-off mode" to "Cruise Mode".

I am having problems with setting up timer on nx6 transmitter. When setting it up for my aeroscout it worked but when setting it up for f15 it won’t. Great video.
I prefer setting timer 2 to stopwatch, and letting it count up for total flight time. I inhibit all of the call outs for timer 2.
