Let me repeat that, this girl is NOT a child.

The people that should be in jail are the mother and maternal grandfather, who have been sexual abusing Allison for years. They were charged in an Alhambra court for felony abuse. What's happening to Jeffrey Chao is an injustice. He loves his daughter very much and is only trying to protect Allison. Family court is so corrupt and not listening to her. Giving custody to a known felon is beyond all common sense. I hope and pray that Allison gets justice and be reunited with the only parent who loves her and really cares for her that he is willing to go to jail.

If my daughter begged not to go knowing the other divorcing parent had a court order to send my healrhy child to a mental facility, I would not open the door to the police either. The courts often get it wrong for what is in the best interest of a child. The mother's financial position gives her the upper hand for her legal advantage to the disadvantage of the father. To arrest the father may be within legal law protocol at the insistence of the mother. It should be told the daughter lived with the father over the last year, and the mother sought an emergency order to have her daughter taken to a mental health facility, in what appears because the daughter refused to see her mother stating her mother abused her. Taking away the daughter from the father, what kind of mother seeks a temporary custody order to send her daughter off to a mental facility? The court is obviously not listening to the 15 year old child. Perhaps that was the motive of the mother so her child wouldn't be heard?

I believe the account shares court filings but I really don’t know for sure. What precipitated the charges or how things resolved into mom getting full custody and a court order for her hospitalization is really strange. I think you are on X and might find that twist worth exploring with your keen critical mind.
Poor Alison has been abused by someone and if only she had reached the TV station where she wanted to tell her story. Then again, perhaps that exposure could damage her further but she does want to be heard. It is said she’s in protective custody now.

As I understand things, the charges were investigated in 2023. That is when the father got an EPO, the mother was briefly arrested (don’t know about the grandfather). As it turns out, there were never any charges brought against her mother (or they were dismissed quickly, not sure which). Then many hearings earlier this year ending in her mother receiving custody for making mental health decisions. The whole thing seems very complicated but this is clearly not the first time Alison has uttered those accusations; probably why her dad didn’t react at all when she switched from telling the police she didn’t want go with them to claiming her mother abused her. He knows the whole story…which none of us online do.

But, i believe Alison when she said mom abused her. My thoughts?? Maybe mom is a strict tiger mom and spanks her... and in Alison's mind, that's abuse.
Maybe mom just wanted mental health evaluation bc at one point, Alison said mom and grandpa sexually abused her. In which was discredited in court. If my dgtr accused me of such thing, I'd take that very seriously and would want complete assessments done of my dgtr to ensure her mental health is ok!!

"I think the thing that is missing in this conversation it that there has to be a reason, perhaps a good reason that the courts granted Alison's mother custody." Really bad take. The court awards the mother custody 99% of the time. It's very much an uphill battle for a father to be awarded custody.

On her IG, Annie said that Jeffery reported Alison missing. A news report said that Jeffery's sister called Jeffery around 8pm to say that Alison never made it to her house, which she should have made it to by 6pm. Then Jeffery reported her missing around 9:36. The mom said she was informed that Aliso was missing about 10pm. Jeffery's representative said Jeffery was the one who created the initial missing poster with Alison's pictures and info.

Both parents are wrong. I feel that this ugly divorce made both side mad. They want to hurt each other by taking Alison. The mother recently got full custody of Alison. That hurt the father. He in return stage a missing person. That hurt the mother. Now he is in jail and the mother has the upper hand. Alison is in foster care.
The bottom line they both hurt Alison. No one win.

However it pans out in the future, making assumptions or taking sides at this point with either parent would be a mistake. There's historic accusations by the dad that didn't stand up legally and were dropped. There are counter allegations of what amounts to medical and other neglect by the mother. What this dad has done in the last week alone shows horrifically poor parenting. We don't know how mentally vulnerable this child is. I doubt she is unscathed by the last week alone. Let's stop pretending that abducting your child, hiding her away and lying to other family, the police and the world is in any way an appropriate response, even if you really do have concerns about abuse. In fact especially if you have concerns about abuse.

Well Alison is not in the care of either parent since being found. She is in the care of the local authority child services, unsurprisingly. Which is where she's safest until things are properly assessed. People don't know the accusations about the mother are true, I would venture that what the father has done is not the first unwise action in his life as parent, an action that is in itself harmful to his child. Even if there are no other concerns about him, something we know nothing about. It's not goodies and baddies, it's yet another child having their life fcked up by shoddy parents.

I believe that the courts made the right decision if there is some kind of abuse going on in the home. The fact they took the father into custody must mean there is something going on there that could be detrimental to Alison in some way. We don't know the details as of yet but there could have been some physical abuse directed at the mother which is unhealthy for the child to be witness to such violence. Whatever the case, the child's welfare is the most important concern and if it took separating the parents and temporary custody of the father to achieve a better solution for Alison.... then they definitely acted correctly.
With the police call it could be a possibility that the father might have had the daughter intimidated and fearful of going outside for consequences she might have have to deal with later. I have dealt with plenty of that with my daughters and their abusive boyfriends where the men had them terrified to even speak with the police when they were called to the scene by concerned neighbors. I felt some suspicion about that whole interaction due to past experience and the extremely upset demeanor of Alison. Just a possibility, there is a lot more that needs to be learned about this case.

This has probably got to be the worst take. She had been living with her father. Her mother was trying to have her committed and from the video Alison says she was abusing her. The courts, the judge and the social worker were the ones who caused this situtation.

@@K0nc3pt10nI also want to add that there possibly court files stating her mom and grandfather SA her but the files have “disappeared” or have been “unresolved” not to mention that her mother has been paying ppl to literally stalk and intimidate her daughter in the pass, and there’s rumors she’s been paying ppl to play her side. This is truly upsetting but I hope it exposes all the flaws in custody battles and everything works out for Alison.

I've been utterly disappointed in Grizzly's coverage and mocking the victim. The subtle clues are there, over apologising. Just as theatre is a term in the military, so is staging, her dad was in the Navy. She's used to deferring to men. The prosecution is so hostile, it beggars belief. Denise Lancashire UK

I am keeping an open mind whether one or both are the bad guys on the basis of what happened prior to Alison going missing. But, if he's been instrumental in this for the last week, then he has done bad. And you know ? Anyone who wants to and sees through making the disappearance of a child happen in this way, and lie to the police and the world as he seems to have done. Well guess what, that means they've moved up the continuum of likelihood for making their child disappear in a more permanent way in the future if things don't go their way. It is actually linked behaviour. He has literally declared himself to be a risk in terms of not being a safe parent.

Whoever wants to destroy the bady is not the real parent. The Judgement of Solomon is a story from the Hebrew Bible in which Solomon ruled between two women who both claimed to be the mother of a child. Solomon ordered the baby be cut in half, with each woman to receive one half. The first woman accepted the compromise as fair, but the second begged Solomon to give the baby to her rival, preferring the baby to live, even without her. Solomon ordered the baby given to the second woman, as her love was selfless, as opposed to the first woman's selfish disregard for the baby's actual well-being. Some consider this approach to justice an archetypal example of an impartial judge displaying wisdom in making a ruling. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgement_of_Solomon
