Just used this info and now boiler is sorted thanks man! One thing I did notice is where you stick the key in if you look closely on the black plastic there is a picture of a closed padlock and an open padlock, no doubt to shut off the valve afterwards! 👍🏻
Cheers buddy, just moved into my new place and was getting the error light, topped up the pressure now all is well. Got to say it’s a lot easier than my last boiler but much more hidden. Not to mention the booklet that comes with it is pretty shit.
Hello, thanks for your tutorial. One question, do you need to turn the boiler off completely from the switch before doing this? As in, no power running to it? Or can the boiler stay on, just no central heating on (heating switch off only)? Many thanks
No you can leave the power on to the boiler and yes once you are back up to pressure hold the reset button for a couple of seconds and it should restart. Thanks for watching
Thhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks so much for putting this up i had no hot water or heating for 2 days and then found this 10 mins later and its all back up and running if could buy you a pint i would :-).
Why to take the key out? If I leave it there after I fill the boiler will be fine?! As sometimes need to put more water to keep the pressure above the 1
Legend! Really easy to follow tutorial! I do have a question though. The way I did it was : I turned it off from the mechanical clock then turned it off from the main switch, then refilled to 1.5bar and turned it back on from the main switch. Did I miss any steps?
You’ve probably been asked this question but how would I turn the pressure down? I’m on 2.5 bar and I think the temp isn’t rising in the radiators because the bar is too high.
What do you do if you don't stop the pressure rising in time and it ends up in the red... how do you release the pressure?? ....asking for a friend... 👀😅
Legend! Thanks for the response... sadly it doesn't seem to have fixed it for "my friend" 😂 drained loads of water from the radiators and no joy, even turned the black screw valve that's to the right of the white square thing that is turned to pressurise the system, drained water from this as well as the radiator but no joy... turning the hot water on in the kitchen sink and flushing that for a few minutes drops the pressure down so that it touches the green section... but as soon as the hot water is turned off it jumps straight back to where it was in the red section of the pressure display... any other ideas would be greatly appreciated 🤞
@@MattCNixon you may need to take a far about of water out. Does the pressure stop going up or does it increase all the time? If it continues to climb you may have a passing valve have you taken the white key out and turned it all the way off?
@@MattCNixon Just press the red lever on the PRV valve at the back of the boiler to bring the pressure down to 1 Bar if you over filled it but you need to find the reason why the pressures dropped in the first place as its a sealed system so shouldn''t need to be topped up unless theres either a leak or the expansion vessels lost it's air which in turn causes the pressure to raise above 3 bar then dumps water out of the PRV so then the pressure will be below 1 bar when the boilers cooled down hence why it then needs topping up
Hi yes that is a bit of a problem you will have to get a plumber to fit a filling loop to the boiler pipework then you can fill it up or possibly order a new key from amazon.
Hey don't know if anyone can help but i did this and nothing just ended up with a river down the side of the house lol. Now here is the weird bit we have no hot water no heating, yet if we twist that little white square the water flows down the side of the house the radiators come on and we get hot water. Tighten it and everything goes off I've tried bleeding the radiators nothing. I've tried the key thing nothing
Hi, I have exactly same worcester boiler as you, tried filling it yesterday , but the needle inside the pressure thing , isnt moving, Im afraid to leave it fill too much as you did" for a good while" just in case I overfill it. I tapped the thing a few times , Just tried filling it again, but cant hear no water filling it, just strange noises, now I am worried .
Hi yes they do get stuck from time to time. I wouldn't worry about overfilling the boiler if that does happen the boiler has a built in pressure relief valve in and it will discharge the pressure outside so nothing should happen. Just make sure all your radiators are full and everything should be ok. Thanks for watching.
@@primalrenovations7427 I had to ring my housing association today, they came out, and told me, I need a new pressure gage as its broken, but thankyou very much for the help .Merry Christmas to you
Never done this before, had forgotten what I was shown ages ago, so this video was spot on. Brilliant.
Thanks
Glad I could help out.

Yes that I'd correct.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Many thanks for this video, I do live in work and there was no instructions for the boiler and I'm nursing here for three days! You're a life saver!
Glad it helped
Thank you just saved me a fortune . Was about to call a plumber or gas man out 💰💰💰
No worries thanks for the support 👍
Thanks for the video. It saved me the cost of an emergency call out.
Doing the Lord’s work, thanks so much!
Cheers buddy. I'd never have figured that out without your video. :)

Thank you I've got the hot water back on saved me money and efforts
Instructions were super useful. 👍
Cheers for that mate. Much appreciated
Glad to help
Thanks brother.
amazing, cheers! saved me from a ice cold shower in the morning!
Thanks for this, massive help 👌

Yes you can leave the key in no problem.
Do you have to have to have the Clock Set to On please.???,
No you can set it to anything you like if it's set to on I find it easier to control.
Thanks buddy 😉
Thank you!
Brilliant, so easy. Thanks!
Happy to help.

No that's perfect good job 👏
Mines showing zero but the hot water and heating is working fine, do i try to top it up still??
Yes I would top it up so the heating will work.
Just keep an eye on the pressure though as you could have a leak potentially
Don't put to much in though because your pressure gauge could be faulty.
I've just tried this and I cannot find the white plastic or the black plastic with a hole.
You could have a secondary filling loop on your pipework somewhere
You’ve probably been asked this question but how would I turn the pressure down? I’m on 2.5 bar and I think the temp isn’t rising in the radiators because the bar is too high.
You will need to bleed some water out of the radiator into a bucket that will drop the pressure
What do you do if you don't stop the pressure rising in time and it ends up in the red... how do you release the pressure?? ....asking for a friend... 👀😅
Ha well tell your friend to bleed some water out of the air vent on a radiator juts get a bucket to cathe the water.
Hooe your friend gets sorted 👌

I wouldn't use the prv sometimes it doesn't seal back up and can leak from the outside then you will need to replace that.
My boiler (exact model) does not have this white tap on it, very confused
Yes very odd 🤔
Have you sorted this out? I've got this same problem with my boiler :(
Hi can u show me how to set the clock for the heating please
Yes I actually did a video on this the other day should be on at the weekend but I will drop a link here for you once it's on.
Thanks for watching.
@gothchickable I have posted the link in the comments for setting the clock for the heating.
Hope it helps thanks.
Fukcing legend. Thank you so much!
Trying my best to follow but when i turn the white square one, water is coming out
You may not have the key pice all the way up.
You also need to turn it a quarter turn.
Ive no key in mine. Is there any way of raising the pressure without a key??
Not unless you have a filling loop on the pipework to the boiler it will have 2 little black leavers on and a flexible bit of braided pipe.
@@primalrenovations7427 any chance of you showing this in a follow up video?
Hey what if we’ve lost the key?
Hi yes that is a bit of a problem you will have to get a plumber to fit a filling loop to the boiler pipework then you can fill it up or possibly order a new key from amazon.
@@primalrenovations7427 ohh no, I’ll see if I can get one on Amazon but thank so much x
What if you start to hear clicks on and off and slight drop in pressure over a year is that normal or something else
Could be air circulating round your system could also need a flush.
@@primalrenovations7427 thanks
Mine has the key but no where to put it & no lever to adjust :s
Hi you may have a fixed one on the pipework to the boiler it will be a metal hose with a little leaver on either end.
👍

Hi sounds like you put a little to much pressure inside the boiler and the prv (pressure relief valve) has stuck open its a simple fix for a plumber.
Still on 0
