    I'm a student stuck in a freezing cold house with my landlord on holiday. I assumed pressurizing a boiler would be way more difficult than this - I looked this up almost on a whim. A minute after watching this video, my radiators are now hot again. Like some sort of black magic. Thank you :).

    As someone who can barely operate a stapler, and for whom the user manual might as well have been written in ancient Sumerian, your video enabled me to fix the issue with my boiler and get my hot water working properly again. Extremely clear and concise on all levels. Thnaks so much!

    BG charge my M.I.L £100 to spend 2 minutes doing this every year, when the pressure only drops a fraction below 1.5b. Thanks to this video, I've been able to stop her worrying about tiny pressure drops, and set the pressure myself, so from now on I can keep an eye on it, and she does not get ripped off. Thanks.

    Had been searching the manual on how to repressurise our boiler, it stated we need to call out an engineer, was quoted £150 plus VAT so I turned to trusty RUclips for help. This video explained the exact procedure we needed, rectified the problem in 2 minutes, Excellent! You have saved us a lot of money and waiting around for an Engineer just to turn a key and a nut. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I'm saving this video for future reference.

    Excellent video thanks. Saved me a lot of stress. One thing I would like to add is that getting the key to push in and fit properly can be quite difficult to get right. I had lots of attempts and nearly damaged the plastic key which can easily be done. And once damaged you’re in big trouble. So one top tip is to leave the key in and leave it there in position for next time you need to top up. Its what I do and saves me a lot of hassle.

    great video, boiler refilled in two minutes. The key needed some effort to push all the way in as brand new, won't turn until it's in all the way. once in, it turned very easily. So if you're struggling, don't try to turn it harder, try pushing it in further.

    • @remaincalm2
      @remaincalm2 4 года назад

      Your advice saved me from snapping the key as it wouldn't turn. The choice was risk it and snap the key, or let the family freeze tonight! That extra push in did the trick (using a touch of washing up liquid on the rubber seals on the key). Thank you.

      Washing up liquid, a tiny bit, is good. A small amount of silicon oil is better. Don't buy it unless you have other uses for it. If you have a friend who has Scuba equipment, they almost certainly have some silicon oil for use with O-ring seals.

      Hi Michaela, thanks for your query. If water is coming out from where the key is inserted it means the key was not pushed all the way to form a seal, a little bit of washing up liquid on the end of the key will help it go up further. Please let us know if you have any further questions

      In case it gets knocked and bends the manifold? I imagine that would be a nightmare to fix.

    Hi, I've inserted the key fully in however when I turn the nut water pours from the nut! And the pressure needle doesn't move. I tried turning the key further towards the lock position but it just spins forever! Help!

      Just need to push it up further, happened to me too. It goes so far and then gets stuck so its needs a bit of a shove

    Thank you for this. This helped to calm a very stressful situation where we couldn’t figure out how to sort out no pressure in our boiler on a Sunday evening! 👍🏻😁

    This video was a massive help however, the engineer forgot to tell us to remember to switch the boiler on again from the mains switch.

    When you are turning the nut, it is clockwise to open and anti clockwise to close. Which is the opposite way he says to do it.

    Just followed this video's instructions and it worked a treat. Wish I'd seen this video before I tried to figure it out on my own (sprayed water all over the worktop). I was fiddling with the dials, not realising that the key thing was attached to the door flap. Thanks.

    Great info. Helped me sort out my new boiler. Only thing I would say is my key required a firm push to get it in place but once it went in everything was straight forward. Thanks 😊
