Thank you both . To add to others .. I was there as a skinny teenager , queued a week to get a ticket , camped out a week to get in . In the end the carnage of overwhelming numbers at the time we just walked in . We were far too back to appreciate on the day . But they they were my idols and gods then and no different today . Like people say the GOATS but there are many goats we truly love and enjoying over again because of reviewers like you two . And to add with the upmost greatest respect why are you guys on under 6k subscribers , absolute madness …fantastic channel for sure ….Come on all show some support ❤❤❤

At a Yes concert in Vegas, way back in the day, they did their standard two encores. After the second encore, they turned on both the house lights AND house music, and people just stayed cheering, trying to get them to come back. Eventually they did, and performed some Beatles cover that I'd never heard of (obviously not part of their regular set). When they finished, the crowd was finally satisfied and immediately started filing out. It was a very cool and surreal experience, that I'd never seen before or since. Jon Anderson even briefly came on the local radio station after the concert to give his appreciation for the crowd.

I was there. Well actually the week after. Was 18yrs old. Had got into Zep in about 73. By the time of this gig, punk/new wave had come along which I loved as well.

I can't remember if you did the song remains the same movie . That is the best. Bought the movie. Watch all the time
I noticed different things everytime I watch it. And find different ways they do things. And been watching it for over 50 years. This is good but that movie imo is there best. But everything is perfect.

Apparently they played “ Communication Breakdown” as an encore on the second show. There is footage out there . Tbh I think Jimmy had zoned out after the first encore, or something. The whole Knebworth show is a difficult experience to revisit, for so many reasons. Thanks to both of you for sticking with it. Take care out there. Best wishes from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

As for Jimmy during final encores: exhaustion? He apparently lost a lot of fluids.

I've never been to a really bad concert. Back in the day, I had to go with my brother to a Triumph/Foghat show. Not my favorite bands, but it wasn't bad.

You won’t be able to react to this clip but it’s worth a listen. A band called The Third Ear Band were a group that were pre prog or in the cusp anyway. I suppose psychedelic medieval music is one way of describing them. They were on the same label as Pink Floyd, Harvest. The made the soundtrack for a film of Macbeth which this piece is from. The band are seen playing in the gallery. Today they are rather obscure but in 1969/72 they had quite a following mainly in UK, France, Germany and Belgium. They were a UK band. I doubt they were ever heard much in the US. There’s plenty of their music on ITunes, RUclips etc but it’s a forgotten part of the British music scene you may be interested to know.

Jimmy struggled at these shows, however the Copenhagen shows the week or two prior he and they were ON. Only audience recordings of those exist and are decent quality. Zep was one of the most bootlegged bands, might be worth it to check out
Live at file more west 69 (April avocado show), blueberry hill show (msg 70) Japan 71, LA 72 (HTWWW)

Rush is not even close to Zep . Zep the biggest band in the 🌎 hands down of the 70's it was not close you had to experiment it to understand the immense popularity of Led Zeppelin.

This would be so much better with auto-tune, lip synching, and dancers prancing around on stage.
