I’ve played guitar for more than a decade and a half and this hurt my fingers to watch. People must understand the unbelievable precision and consistency of each member. Insane shit
Greatest band period. I'm a lover of funk, and have seen and heard all kinds of music genres--Jazz, soul, pop, R&B--and LZ is, in my humble opinion, and I can't say it enough, the greatest band period.
They just wring every ounce of energy and ability that they possess EVERY DAMN TIME. They performed as if their lives depended on it. I've watched this performance more times than I can count, and it still amazes me. No one, and I mean no one did it better.
That was fantastic.. What a band.. Is there another band that can perform like Zep.. Yes.. A level above.. That's why they will always be the best ever.!!!
If you have the time, you'll love the 28 minute version of Dazed and Confused, greatest guitar solo ever recorded, especially the last 12 minutes. Amazing to watch!
Watching this live video, one can easily understand why the young guys back then wanted to be Jimmy Page. That's a rock star. My brothers started playing guitar because they worshiped him.
so funny both my hubby and i are huge LZ fans and our daughter had a tiny black swan song tee when she was 3/4 but she is 13 now and listens to Babymetal and other stuff I’ve never heard of….my parents had great taste in music and so do my hubby and I but my daughter just doesn’t appreciate good music…I hate it
@@TheSchuyler75 Everywhere you look things are being watered down whether it's music architecture art cuisine literature...all dumbed down. It's sad and true. Zeppelin was like planets aligning, 4 excellent musicians with the chemistry to make something very special.
I love and bleed Led Zeppelin. I know Robert and Jimmy were the the attraction. As a guitar player by hobby and jamming with buddies of mine I always appreciated the connection to the drums and bass. Obviously John Henry Bonham was right fully so given his due. I always felt that John Paul Jones was not. He was rocking during this keyboard solo and where is the camera focused on.
JPJ can not only play many instruments, he kicked azz doing it! I grew up in the 70s. That massive sound from one guitarist, bassist who plays everything and a killer drummer!!
I forgot about this one. It's a BANGER! Robert's voice was at his prime.. I don't exactly understand them, but, That's my band Robert plant is so hot and sexy.........Jimmy was sick on guitar!
Can’t get enough of this! As you have found out, when listening to Zepplin time kind of stands still like all great music. But like I say, Zepplin is more than a band they are a way of life. Have a blessed day Pope!!!
Turned 18 in '74 and I got tickets to see this in November in CA...My first concert and was disappointed by every other concert I saw. Until I saw Zeppelin again in '77! And then there was RUSH!
They did a different version every night on that Earls Court run. That was the longest and fastest one. Half way through the keyboard solo there is a look and you know they were just gonna go off. Bonham trying his best to stay with Page on this one was no mean feat. Goddamn. But the tempo he set from the get-go....you know its gonna be special.
That's what is called the Best rythm section of rock history ! 4 feets and 4 hands ! (JPJ play the bass on pedals with his feets) So Pagey can have fun ...
Craziness lol! You nailed it pope. Timeless music so far ahead of their time i It’s fun to watch you explore this and listen to this incredible music out the same time.
That was May 24th or 25th, 1975 -- by 1977 - Robert Plant could've went out on the stage and read the phone book and brought the house down ! They were definitely the pinnacle of the rock in the 1970s - they dominated in ticket, albums and merchandise sales.
Simply the best most versatile rock band period. There other bands that may be able to write a trampled underfoot but not that and a Kashmir and Ten Years Gone, In the Light and an in my time of dying or the Wanton Song, in their entire life let alone in the same album
What a great reaction Nyco! Although, how else could you react to such a monster of a performance ? 😁 Jimmy on fire, JPJ playing pedals as well as keyboards, John doing what John does on the drums and Planty really belting it out The Mighty Zeppelin. Accept no substitute! Because there is no substitute And why didn’t you get to see them live? Cos you’re a young buck and you’ll still be enjoying these videos long after most of us on here will be in our cold cold grave 😲 But yeah, you’d have freaked the way we all did if you saw them up on stage in front of you! Glad you enjoyed, as always
This was days music was good enough to stand alone didnt need some big theatrical dances and shows to make it good it was raw and all about the songs and the band was just raw talent the musicians made them selves stand out with there sols and singing. and zepplin is the best to ever done it and still stands today.
Of all the led zeppelin reviews you have given in your previous videos ,this one is by far your best one yet, correct you are in your explanation - description to listen - grasp the led zeppelin sound it's like the layers of an onion ,there are many and different of them ,thusly often one picks a new gem in the repeatedly of the listening to their music, there will never be another led zeppelin on this side of armageddon.
Solid comment about playing the bass line by foot?! Wow I was wondering as he was on the keys and heard the bass line playing...Cool fun fact - have you done No Quarter, Out on the Tiles or Friends yet? Plenty more greatness lies ahead!!
Jesus they were a fucking juggernaut! I saw some great concerts back in the '80s, but if I could travel back to the '70s to see one banding concert I'd want to go back to London 1975 and see Led Zeppelin on the Physical Graffiti tour. I've read that it was possibly one of the greatest shows they ever did. That would be the show when they were at the height of their powers.
Curiously, they weren't one of my favorite bands back when they were current and popular, and I appreciate their artistry much more now than I did then. They're definitely an important piece of rock history and a lot of today's music wouldn't exist or would sound different if they hadn't made their mark. People like me love the fact that people like you are discovering and appreciating the bands and music of our youth now. Thanks for the worthy reaction.
I love them more today, now then i did back then. I appreciate now just how truly amazing, trend setting they were. Was too young in their heyday to understand their magic...it's surreal
This was one of the encores when I saw them in 1977. The live version is much more rough and raw. I loved the studio cut but live Page becomes a master of the Wah Wha pedal. Thanks for doing this version! Memories. Yes I do remember it a little dimly but it is there. You see and her LZ and not remember. Seeing Page raising up his guitar, like he did here was amazing. And, he had a bottle of Jack Daniels close at Hand the whole show. I have thought for 40 years that Page was always playing a solo. Well done!
I have always felt sorry for the last few Generations. I truly believe the world would have been a different place than what we know.. If only.. REST IN PEACE - - - - - - JOHN BONHAM
ZEPPELIN ruled my life from 10 ys old to 50 now!! I find more and more each time I watch Zep, I find somethin kool and different...........Hendrix- Zeppelin and the- Doors influenced EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The UK's punitive tax laws in the mid-1970s meant the Zeppelin had to literally fly into the country, do the shows at Earls Court, and fly out again! The scene of a major reassessment of them as a band, it also coincided with their greatest success globally.
This is my favorite version of this song. It's faster than the album version. It's not obvious, but John Paul Jones is playing the same or a similar type of electric piano that Stevie Wonder played on "Superstition." (BTW, check out Stevie's performance of "Superstition" on Sesame Street, and I'm not joking.) I believe, but I'm not sure, that John Paul Jones was also playing bass notes with his feet. The lyrics make it seem like this song is about a car, but it's really about something else that most men like to play with, something softer.
Great reaction! Not sure why this didn't hv any views.....I just went to your page I did not get a notification for this video you might want to check into that keep rocking man
I’ve played guitar for more than a decade and a half and this hurt my fingers to watch. People must understand the unbelievable precision and consistency of each member. Insane shit
These gentlemen are the real deal , often imitated but never duplicated !!!
Funny but I had to take organ lesion's in my youth.
JPG made this group great.,
IMO, only Rush came close.
The Mighty Led Zeppelin!
plant was not just a singer his rants and sounds he made was a instrument in itself no one could do things he did as front man
Love seeing your reaction to the Greatest Band Ever!!!!
Greatest live band ever. Greatest improvisational band ever. Greatest mystical band ever. Greatest rock band ever!
Greatest band period. I'm a lover of funk, and have seen and heard all kinds of music genres--Jazz, soul, pop, R&B--and LZ is, in my humble opinion, and I can't say it enough, the greatest band period.
Good but not so good as Status Quooooooo !!!

dude I am 49 and I have never seen that clip B4......... FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite Zeppelin performance!! Jimmy Page absolutely nails this solo🎯

Seconded, buddy!

I agree 1000%

The best jam session ever!!!
"Push!" Love this song! Don't we all wish we could go to one of their shows.
your energetic enthusiasm is more than justified!
Can’t get enough of this! As you have found out, when listening to Zepplin time kind of stands still like all great music. But like I say, Zepplin is more than a band they are a way of life. Have a blessed day Pope!!!
Zep, veering from their normal Blues Rock into Funk Rock... and there's lots more to enjoy of that sub-genre, Peace, Pope- be safe.
These guys could seriously lay down a groove and jam! They were each such incredible instrumentalists in their own right.
Led zeppelin masters of the definition of rock and roll best band ever to walk planet earth
Turned 18 in '74 and I got tickets to see this in November in CA...My first concert and was disappointed by every other concert I saw. Until I saw Zeppelin again in '77! And then there was RUSH!
I love your enthusiasm with the mighty Zeppelin.keep it up my brother
IMHO, their best live footage that's around. Clicking on all 4 cylinders.

Bonham trying his best to stay with Page on this one was no mean feat. Goddamn. But the tempo he set from the get-go....you know its gonna be special.
The spar city of the instruments , yet the full sound is amazing plus the looseness yet tightness, no other band did it quite like this 👍👍👍
That's what is called the Best rythm section of rock history ! 4 feets and 4 hands ! (JPJ play the bass on pedals with his feets) So Pagey can have fun ...

What was your favorite band at that time?
@@jordanantonio6011 probably Yes.

Greatest Band........Some one said to Page that a Keyboard song can`t rock......Page said " Oh, really?"....Told JPJ....and this is the result...
BEST BAND EVER!!

Videos like this prove Led Zep was a jam band
Personally i think this is the best version of this song period. Bonham holding everything together is amazing.
I read that Jimmy Page would rehearse for 4 hours before a concert.
Zeppelin just kicks everyone in the azz. an alchemy of musicians.
Saw this song Live 75 7th row msgnyc ..Great concert

JOHN BONHAM
So much energy.
funky.. what a groove..
John Paul Jones carries this entire jam with his left hand! He keeps that octave going from start to finish! Great stuff!
Vamos Argentina 🇦🇷 saludos desde acá!! Viva Zeppelin
Smooth Groovy 🎙🎵🎶
young man, they are the mountain.
Bonham is a freight train live!!!!
the tempo is nuts on this song
In two words I’ll explain what Zeppelin’s competitors didn’t have, and what made them completely untouchable: Jones, Bonham.
All about the groove!

Studio version is a bit slower, and I think monumental for it - although admittedly, this is a different kind of fire
The UK's punitive tax laws in the mid-1970s meant the Zeppelin had to literally fly into the country, do the shows at Earls Court, and fly out again! The scene of a major reassessment of them as a band, it also coincided with their greatest success globally.
They were the only band to get 100 percent of the take from the show
Now you know why LED ZEPPELIN are Theee Kings Of ROCK n ROLL
