Nice job with the video. Those do look very well made. I can tell you these things do work, I had a FJ40 and they had a very similar product for the front leaf spring on a FJ40 and that was a nice upgrade.

iron man stuff is beef, but your shackle was hitting on the SRB until you moved it to the last bolt. if moving to the last hole wasnt an option due to shackle angle, you could have just trimmed the SRB with a spinning death wheel. you have quite a bit of flex for a low lift, i like that.

I'm currently running a 3" RC lift with shackles that are at a horrible 90 degrees straight up and down. The rear end is a back breaker and I'd like to get a little bit of forgiveness. I like the ride height (if anything, would go lower) and want to use relocation brackets to get a better shackle angle. BUT I'd prefer not to go any higher. Here's my question: The regular relocation brackets look much easier to install, but they should add height. Will this height be offset by the fact that my decreasing shackle angle (more horizontal) will shorten the overall lift? Should I go with the no-lift versiob? If I'm currently at dead level and use the no-lift to decrease the shackle angle, won't that be a net decrease, and bring the rear down below the front? I have to daily drive my jeep on sh*tty nyc roads. I need a little more forgiveness without going any higher.
I bought it locally without the swing out, apparently there was a guy in my area who made a few dozen of them several years ago and failed to really market them. I have modified several things on it and the swing out I built. I keep my tow straps, hitch, and some shackles in the storage compartment.
Great video John. Great amount of flex in the back of the Jeep now!. Looks like the torque masters rear locker is serving you well! How do you like it still? Thanks for the compliments Russ. I love the locker still. I just drove it in snow covered roads we had a storm last week the plows couldn’t keep up with and I drove for 12 hours that day all over the region. I did not get stuck until the end of the day when it was 20” deep and packing down to ice under the tires and then all it took was 2 minutes of shoveling to get free. I drove highway, back roads, windy hilly roads, gravel roads and dirt trails in the snow and was blown away with the performance. I did not need 4WD high on the street but at times was more comfortable with it. I did feel the Jeep wanted to track straight as an arrow (but not making it impossible to steer) under acceleration in 4 hi but coasting or lifting the throttle it would take corners exactly as expected. I never wished the rear was open that entire day and I never felt the Jeep behaved unexpectedly or poorly. Very impressed as I fully anticipated snow would be the biggest drawback to this setup.

It’s a nice budget lift but i recommend going with the full leaf packs and also keeping rough country shocks. I notice a very little difference when going to 5100s but it wasn’t a 400$ worth difference. You might want to do a new trackbar preferably a adjustable one. Also i’m going to run 33s and regear pretty soon with lockers because i ahve plenty of clearance when i cut my fenders. For the most part you can’t go wrong with most rough country stuff. I always just say consistent content is the most important. I mean that in terms of the quality and production value of your videos, the relation of content from one video to the next, and also in terms of frequency of posts. If you post one video every 3-5 months on completely different topics and it’s roughly edited with no real story to follow, you won’t get much traction. But if you regularly post quality video that is on the same general topic each time, you’ll gain an audience. Hope that helps.

Have you been liking the Dana 35 you're running? Seems like you do some moderately heavy wheelin on it.
It's an 8.25 and it has held up really well
@@DirtRoadTherapy oh dang. That's awesome. Been thinking about swapping out for one of those.
@@FerociousSniper it’s worth it. Get the 29 spline that came in 97 and newer models.
Nice install, looks like it maybe an easier install than the SFR kit I installed on mine.
true bolt in, no drilling no welding
True, but I think I like the design better on the Stinky Fab Raceing relocation brackets.
@@5150MotorSports i like the the Liquid Iron industries xj slider boxes personally, you get to keep your LCG because theres no lift, and you get all the articulation, and they ride like butter on the street.
@@motownXJdad9565 Ya, there are pretty sweet, but haven’t seen or heard too much about real world reliability, wondering how long the UHMW bushing last? Just seems like a lot of wear and stress on those 2 polyethylene sliding bushing.
so whats under the hood?
Will that same bracket work with a gas tank skid plate?
They definitely should, just be sure to install these closest to the frame. Depending on the skid it might need to be modified a little but definitely modify the skid not the SRBs
To improve articulation even more, add a set of boomerang shackles.
Or just delete them !!!! LOL
I would love to see you guys build a 1977 cherokee chief!!
How about an 88 Grand Wagoneer with a diesel?
@@DRTJon hope that's a plan not a tease! Lol
It’s for real, I have one I started building years ago and need to get back to. It won’t exactly be a full build but it will make an appearance in several videos as I do things worthy of documenting and sharing here. If you’re on IG follow @bleepinjeepjon and scroll back past all the yellow you’ll see it
Did this kit come with the new nut strips?
It doesn’t come with them but they’re just a few bucks extra and well worth it.
What winch mount is that?
Are those 31's?
285/75/17 ~32.5”
@@DRTJon If they are 32.5" then are you sure you didn't mean to say 285/70r17? According to the online calculator I used, a 285/75r15 tire should measure out to be roughly 33.8" while the more common 285/70r17 comes out to 32.7". Thanks. I have the same wheels but want to get roughly a 33x11.5 equivalent tire.
You’re correct Neil, they are in fact 285/70
What size of tire are you running
285/70R17
Matt, we need an FC update!
Nice job. What's the total lift of your rig?
Sitting around 5” I believe
What engine in that thing?
VW TDI swapped! You can see more of it on my channel too (I'm not part of Bleepin anymore) just click my user name
Love the videos, like to see the banana, in action! 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey everyone, I’m trying to get into Overlanding but don’t know anything about mechanics. Does anyone have a trusted mechanic in Utah?
We are new to the social media community and we are trying something new. We see how sucessful you guys have become and would like to know if you could possibly share a few tips with us? We are trying to do videos and pictures of our offroad adventures with our little family and our friends. We are also trying to use this platform to support the DD community since that is our field of work and also have family in the DD community. We would like to purchase or find new hospital beds for our local facilities at first and hopefully get big enough to branch out all over to the entire DD community. Any tips and tricks you could offer would be greatly apperciated! Thank you so much for your time and for considering!

@@DRTJon thanks! My husband and I love the bleepinjeep videos!
Shackle power!
Kroil is 👍👍
Totally, I need to get some more every time I see it I cry a little because it seems the price goes up $5 every year or so haha
@@DRTJon I cannot remember where I saw it . Thier was a show or article that talked about the contents of Kroil. They mixed up a concockson of several ingredients . They tried both and it worked just as well as Kroil. Sorry I can't remember . But Kroil works miracles
A 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone works well
Matt’s off-road recovery called, they want his Jeep back
Maybe he has mine?
Just get a missing link
What engine in that Jeep? A diesel?!
Yep a VW TDI. There's a bunch of videos on the swap here on the channel! And I've moved on to my own channel, just click on my user name ;-)
You, my friend - neeeeeed smirf gloves.
멋진 영상 잘보고갑니다
I could barely understand what he was saying due to the background noise. It sounded like an airport is close by.
Now that you stole Mattsoffroadrecovery.com jeep, you couldn’t wait to retrofit it with leaf springs just to find out that that was an extremely bad idea and now have to modify your mistake to save your face? Hilarious🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂
Holy run on sentence.
