I have a 2023 Indian Roadmaster. And I couldn’t be happier. I have over 40 years of riding, and most of that was on HARLEY-DAVIDSON’s. You gotta love those Indian bikes.
@@NostalgicMotorcycles I had two Harleys and I was willing to trade both in for a brand new motorcycle. My local HARLEY-DAVIDSON dealer was borderline insulting on their offer. Indian treated me better, and I just like the classy style and look of their bikes.
I appreciate you showing moving the bike around pushing-pulling with your feet. I ride a magna now and im looking for a bigger - more toque bike but i was worried about flickability and pushing it around the garage...
Nice !! I have a 95 magna. I will say this. Yes it’s heavier. The bike being wider makes the reach of the hands more difficult. But if your Honda is factory height. This bike is easier to pick up off the side stand. Moving is not as bad as you would expect but it is slightly more difficult.
Steering effort needs more input when your traveling faster speeds due to inertia not the fairing. Like rolling a quarter the faster the straighter as it slows down wobbles. Good concept to grasp when turning
Yeah I’ve backed to back chieftain with, street glide, road glide and challenger. Noticed some difference. It wasn’t enough that I would choose a fixed fairing if i was leaning towards a fork mount. Was just throwing the inertia out there for the newer riders and a little reminder for the experienced riders
Thank you very much I appreciate that feedback ! Honestly the bike that keeps coming back to my mind is the challenger(pursuit more specifically). My reasoning is this, I love to rev and that bike has equal the torque for the chieftain yet has top end power. Revving the challenger is more entertaining (and it’s faster). The ride quality is the same ergonomically they are very similar with the chieftain having a slight bit more heavy handling (it’s still stupid light). The engine is my reasoning. 100% that power plus is my style of engine. I get off and say wow that’s a solid running bike and I’ve ridden several at this point.
Always need slips ons lmfao. But that’s personal opinion. It sounds decent. Idle you can’t hear the exhaust. Very much and there is a little noise in the rev. It’s still a doctors exhaust. Next to another bike or road noise you won’t hear it. In a full face helmet the bike has a slight humm but in a windy day you wouldn’t be able to hear it in a full face.
How come kawasaki vaquero is water cooled and runs like shit, until its ivanized and then indian has a air cooled motor that runs perfectly cool, i guess the difference is quality, 30 k versus 15k,
Design man. A good designed air cooled motor vs a poor designed liquid cooled. Just because they sell it doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Radiator could be too small. Not a big radiator fan. Or thin cylinder walls. When the air cooled motor is like 60 years d with ages of testing to get the cylinder wall thickness and cooling fins to be the best. This air cooled motor didn’t run this cool back in 1960 I can promise tou that. It’s also has an oil cooler on some models.
Normally I would say Yes, yes it is, but as the proud owner of a stunning 2019 Indian Springfield in steel gray and burgundy metallic, I got to go with Indian Springfield, Cruiser Heaven, all day, every day!
Thank you Very much I appreciate the feedback. Anything in particular that was of interest? And I am fairly bad at gloves lol Its hit or miss as you can see some videos I do some I don't Its not constant for sure.
I’m not sure we are talking about the same thing. This bike does not have a backrest. Obviously it can be added. Any lumbar support would come from an addition to the seat which will sit above the seat. The arch in the seat would not really effect lumbar support and hopefully your lumbar spine is not shaped like that as ouch lol. But what do I know 🤷🏽♂️

I own a 23 Pursuit Dark Horse Premium. Love it. Love the chieftain too
Nice ! Love that bike man it’s bad ass
How do these compare to the Victory Cross Country?
Great question but I haven’t ridden the victory to tell you.

@@NostalgicMotorcycles doing a good job, I like the visual additions - transitions/graphics looking good!
👌🏽👌🏽 thank you.
You went passed my old station! 😃 great review, I dig the color
Past your old station ??
@@NostalgicMotorcycles yeah on that back road in the beginning it’s called pine ave, there’s a fire station off of it, I use to be assigned there
Ohhhh gotcha ya sorry fire station isn’t the first thing that comes to mind for me lol !

Yes I understand the gyro effect of the wheels. Have you ridden a frame and bar mounted bike back to back ?

Did you notice a weight difference between fixed and fork mount as far as steering weight at speed 50+ ?
I didn’t really notice it as much as I thought I was going to.
Which would you say has more weight on the steering?
After watching both your challenger video and this chieftain video (both of which were stellar by the way), which is your favorite?

Yes but the engine noise isn't the same....nothing beats an aircooled push rods engine.
Nothing beats and air cooled pushrod engine when it comes to what ?
to the sound, of course
They do sound good !!
Great video man! Subscribed!
Hell ya thank you very much ! I appreciate it !

Thank you thank you. I have few more planned for the pipeline ! 💪🏼💪🏼 seriously appreciate the feedback. Thank you.
air cooled bike has a nice sounding exhaust system from the factory.

MAN THATS AN UPDATED VICTORY CROSS COUNTRY
Probably. Usually when you buy a company you use their products and integrate them with yours.
PowerPlus motor in the Challenger/Pursuit was destined for the Victory Vision. Polaris wasn't going to waste that R & D.
It’s a good motor man. Awesome tech on victory.

To answer your question, yes, the Chieftain Dark Horse is the best air-cooled bagger. I love mine!
Haha. It is a good one for sure. Smooth plush and Quick
Good video. Please at least wear gloves mate. The lightest slide on the road rips your hand apart. And again great video!

Gotcha !! Yes does a great job keeping you in place. Flat seats are not as comfortable for sure.

Oh dang awesome. What did you get ?
Street glide, chieftain didn’t feel that far off of fixed fairing bikes
Correct but the difference you do feel is wind on the fairing.

What's the asking price
24k if I’m not mistaken.
If they would put a liquid cooler motorcycle in it i would buy
I’m waiting for it for sure !!!
Hey are those Painted on eyebrows. Nice. 😅
Real deal bro !!
there's an awful lot of thunderstroke engines with trouble free high mileage.

No!!!!
Yessssss
I guess Harley Davidson is the standard Indian is trying to replicate.
