Not to bad but i wouldnt make any adjustments to the front suspension is adjust the connections on the steering wheel link first if possible. Good job on the content thanks.
I think you're right. I'll be replacing the clock spring as well, and it's been a while since I've replaced one of those on these trucks, so I'm hoping I can just adjust the steering wheel over a spline or two when putting it back on. Thank you for your input!
Hey brother, how is that Cardone steering gearbox holding up for you? Would you recommend this cheaper options then the Motorcraft? It’s going on a 2011 Ford E 350, super duty ambulance .
I actually would not recommend the Cardone gearbox over the Ford one. I may even be opting for the Ford or the Red Cap version myself before too long. The Cardone has play in it as well. Thank you for watching!!
When you are experiencing "wandering" when you're driving down the road, it could be a number of things. If you've eliminated other causes, it is possibly the gear box. Have a wheel alignment done at a trusted shop, and they should be able to tell you where the problem is.
I am having issues with my steering on my 04 e150 i have play and i dont know if i should change the steering linkage or the steering gearbox now! Hahahaha
Put your camera on record and put it to where you can see the components. Get in the van and move steering wheel slowly side to side. You may spot a loose component.
Tell em about just paid them to install a new gear box, looked today under the truck and that gear box does not look new at all 😢 just by seeing how complicated it was to install one I know the ford tech didn’t know wtf,
Somehow you managed to not show any of the actual removal....

You can adjust the drag link.
Which bolt has the washer in between the steering box and frame?
Did it take out all the slop in the steering?
Amazingly enough, it did not. It did make it much better, but didn't get rid of it 100%.
how do you know when the gear box goes out or going out?
