At @4:57, if you're having trouble performing the bevel correctly, you need to switch the selection mode to 'Edge Select.' To do this, go to the top left corner, just to the left of the 'View/Select/Add/...' options, where you'll see three icons depicting different selection types, each with their own visual representation. Choose the middle one, and you'll be able to select the edges with alt+click.
Thank you for this tutorial! I am learning so much and am really starting to enjoy this process. I hope to go through many more of your tutorials after this😇
This is so great! Always wondered how to create the liquid inside the glass. Thank you! The lighting in viewport is sooo much better in Blender than Maya :’) And render too.
Hi, I'm Orkun and I always fallow you from RUclips and I really appreciate that I improved my blender skills by your videos. By the way, Thank you for your channel to contribute to increase our skill set with blender
Hey! This looks an amazing tutorial for a beginner, too. I'm learning a lot thanks to your tutorials, almost a year! I also added a cheese to this scene, and it looked marvellous! I want them to be real. :D
first of all, i LOVE this tutorial, it taught me so much, so thank you!! i saw that blender had some updates since this video and if you could help me i’d be very thankful, i can’t access the transmission roughness and even though it didn’t help a lot, i saw some things we can do to make it look similar, but i was wondering why my grapes look like glass, it looks like i have a transparent ball with a big border and liquid inside that, do you know why or how i can fix it? thank you!
hi, all the material settings are in newer blender version as well, they are just move around a bit. make sure you explore all the options and you will find them there
Amazing tutorial, thank you! I'm a little stuck at 7:50 if anyone can help: since we `alt` duplicated all of the spheres, they all extrude a vertex... Did I miss some setting or key code I should have hit somewhere?
When i bevel the wine bottle at the part where it starts thinning, it only tries to bevel downward, it doesn't go up and down around the edge like yours @5:01 , it goes both directions, why is this for me it goes down, but for you it goes up and down around the edge?
Please make a tutorial shorts for animating transparency ... For example we have a sphere inside a cube, now animate the transparency of the cube so that the cube becomes semi transparent and reveals the sphere inside and then back to solid.
Looks awesome 👍 Good video. I'm wondering if a similar result can be obtained using a previous version of Blender. I'm using Blender 2.78. Without the add-ons, looks possible. Can you or anyone provide your thoughts? Thank you.
Hi, I am currently doing this tutorial on my mac laptop. & I am stuck @3:08 where you mention press #3 and it selects the bottom face. I tried adding a mouse and I still can't get the bottom face. Can someone help me?
I think he used number pad 3, which we don't have. You can get there by selecting the right-most 'select mode' between 'Edit mode' and 'View.' It looks like a solid square atop a hollow square. After doing that I was able to just click on the bottom of the glass like in the video
im having problem with duplicating. its not doing the duplicate part and no "circle .002" or "circle .003" is appaering in the viewport . the duplicated object is not appearing in the outliner.im at the part where im trying to add the liquid in the glass. im using the 4.1 version. is this a bug?please help
Awesome tuto, but I did exactly what you did with the light but can't manage to get the glass material in the bottle to reflect so cleanly like yours, It looks dark no matter what I do with the lights
Make sure your glass material color is not too dark and make sure you set your lights power according to scene scale (if you make your objects larger, you need stronger lights)
I got the same problem but I managed to resolve it, the first thing is to make sure glass material color is not too dark just like what polygonrunway said. Second thing I done is to go material page, below there is a setting page where you can change the blend mode from opaque to alpha blend mode. The end result is just nice glass texture.
Sir please make video by explaining because I find very easy to understand but many of the video are like first forward which very difficult to understand.......

you mean you can't extrude it? you're probably either in edge or face select mode instead of vertex select
