That was he very first Mario game I ever played. My grandmother had it on the SNES and all my cousins and myself would play all the Mario games against each other. I can’t tell you how many fights broke out from turn stealing when a player crossed another player’s character and was challenged to the Super Mario Bros. Mini game. Lol
Nintendo really forgets that the All-Stars version exists. They should've used that version for every SMW rerelease going forward as it gave Luigi the unique sprites he needed. It's cool that the Luigi sprites have had a legacy in the early-to-mids 2000s in flash movies, though. A shame that Nintendo has forgotten about the All-Stars version to the point where they made all-new sprites for Luigi in Mario Maker 2 rather than simply reusing the All-Stars sprites.
DamnMerasmus Since the whole point of the collection was to be a celebration of Mario’s history that wouldn’t make sense. It makes much more sense to put the first 3D Mario in the collection rather than a remake with different stars, levels, and characters. Not only can you play as him anytime without needing to mess around with second controllers, but he's also just an outright better character to play as (higher jumps, spitting regular enemies as Yoshi, etc.) once you get the hang of how he works!
I agree, except for one small thing that bothers me, luigi's small sprite always has his arms to his side, unlike mario, who puts one of his fists up when he jumps. Other than that I agree completely
