Best 996/986 upgrade! Installing 991/718 Sports Seats!

- One of the biggest letdowns of getting my 911 turbo has been the seats. I like the way they look, but the side support is very poor compared to more modern seats. I set out to find some 997 Sport Seats, but then I came across some 991 Sport Seats from a crashed 718 Boxster. I have driven a boxster for several weekends before, and I really loved those seats, but I had never seen anyone putting them in a 996 or 986 before. After sending some measurements and guesstimating that they would fit, I bought them and set out to do a full plug and play install in my car.

You should use the 996 seat belt receptacle on the 991 seats FYI; direct swap over.

Great upgrade. After a decent amount of seat time do you think you are sitting lower when compared to the OE seats? If so how far lower do you think it is? Thanks
@@murraydell6629 thanks 👍 you do sit a little lower. 1,5cm as shown in the video. But you also sit 3cm deeper in the seat, so more of you is in the lowest part of it
Do you have a link for the small connector pins? Or a part number?
Not right now unfortunately. I was at my local Porsche dealer and they just handed them to me, so I never got the part number. I will ask the next time I go by them

Have you tried the GT3/GT2 seats? they are exceptional !!
