This scene, especially the tau half, with that music, the fire warrior asking questions, and the obvious hints to a mysterious evil, really bring out a classic Star Wars vibe. Like the old conversation between Jedi Master/Knight and Apprentice. Boss Nass may or may not help.
@GreenFont the imperium allies with xenos like tau eldar if faced with chaos tyranids orcs or necrons the adeptus mechanicus can produce titans and power armours
@MisterZimbabwe Space Marines are typically 7 feet tall. Certainly some become 8 feet tall, others like Pasanius of the Ultramarines Fourth Company, 9 feet, but those are the exception rather than the rule. For some reason people keep on proclaiming Space Marines to be a standard 8 or 9, but everything GW publishes always says average of 7 feet.
That's because it's Peter Serafinowicz doing the voice acting; he also played the voice of Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1. I also recognised Brian Blessed playing the admiral and Burt Kwouk playing the Tau military commander.
@@dreadedpixel9022 why would he be vaguely refering to the Tyranids in a game were there are no tyranids (outside a hologram in the tutorial) instead of chaos that is in the game?
@Terrorkarel "Should a machine not function upon striking the panel marked 'on' this is an omen of great ill. @TheBronze3ye in the start of the game (also the ones in the the first cutscene) you get to fight marines from the Raptor chapter and later you get Ultra marines as allies at some points.
@Lathox I thought the Emperoro Class had only 1 group of side guns and 2 groups of launch bays. It also has a better forward weapon compared to the Retribution class... I too play BG but i dont have the Book. I just use the Games Workshop website but having the book would help/.
Tyranids are like Zombies, for everyone of anything else they kill, they gain an ally (or more), The only way the Tyranids could be stopped is by the killing of the Hive Mind, which would take a joint effort of most of races of the Galaxy working together to find the home galaxy of the Tyranids and making a means to get there.
There WAS in fact a time when all Space Marine chapters were united: during the Great Crusade. They also still had their Primarchs, and there were a lot more of them because half hadn't yet turned to Chaos. The Great Crusade commenced with excellent timing, right after the Eldar collapsed. There's no way the Imperium could have beaten the Eldar's old empire in a full on war, even with the Emperor still at the helm.
Becouse he is from the ultramarines third company and they have red rims, the second company have gold rims and the forthed company have green rims if I remember correctly.
The Imperium has a lot of very advanced technology. However their views of Technology border on the Occult their fabricators are the Techpriesthood who have absolutely no idea how it works, just that it does as long as they copy the orignal design or 'Standard Template Construct' to the letter. Right down to any notes the designer may have written on the design.
Maybe you didnt realize my point, orks are the most numerous specias in galaxy, even marines would fall if they wpuld soddenly go to waagh. As of Core Worlds, Ghazskhull almost invaded Solar when he had his waagh, yarrick stopped. And he had like 1/60 of all orks.
@azuer143 They didn't lose Macragge. It was attacked but The Ultramarines reclaimed it. But lost the entire 1st Company. In fact Macragge is normal again. Well apart from the training of elite SMs to fight 'nids
Actually the necrons have the best technology in the galaxy, self repairing metal, faster than light travel, extremely reliable stasis and teleportation technology, and of course the deadly gauss weapons.
Also there are hints in the Tau codex that it was the eldars who helped Tau reach their level of technology in such short time. So the Tau have been helped by a third party too.
btw im sorry but the tau fleet are fare supeiror to that of the impriom it states this within the tau codex they wiped out an entire fleet of impeiral vessles and only lost two ships.
@fiskefyren Tau tech is currently surpassing Imperial tech. Case in point: Tau plasma doesn't kill it's user whenever the gun feels like it. While the Imperials have "good" tech for now, their tech is not going forwards, only backwards, while the Tau progress (at least somewhat) continuously. Tau don't use lasers because they have RAILGUNS. Too bad they seem to be near-sighted. Being the young race doesn't make them less sophisticated, just ask an Ork lol.
@freewillgeorge Well there has been no offical word if it's the same Kais, but since Kais is a rather common Fire caste name I would say the chances for it being the same one are rather slim.
If the orks could ever unite they would crush the tyranids like the bugs they are. I mean if the Imperium can turn the once mighty hive fleets into splinter fleets and eventually wittle them down then a galaxy of united orks would overwhealm the nids in an unstopable green tide.
Markku you have to face the facts that yeah theres alot of orcs but maybe one out of a million orcs are usefull, because while they are running and running and running they are also being blown up into ittybitty orcy bits, also the spores have to survive, if they bodies are burned like must of them are there arent going to be any orcs poppin outta the ground.
I just found it odd looking back that the Imperium would consider any sort of alliance with the Xenos, would it not be Heresy to do so? Although in the face of Chaos, I could see why the rules may be bent. As for the imperium's tech, it's very disparate, some worlds they are very advanced, others they have primitive 20th century weaponry. A pity they went through a dark age. If I remember correctly titans and power armour are lost knowledge, they can't reproduce them.
Ok, maybe I overdid it a little. All I'm saying is that the Eldar, Tau and Humans can't really agree on anything. And the only race who can actually destroy Chaos is the Necrons, but even so they can only achive this indirectly, by purging all life from the material universe, thereby ending their reflections in the warp (Chaos).
If I´m not completely wrong: 1st: white 2nd: Gold or yellow 3rd: Red 4th: Green 5th: Black 6th: Gold or yellow 7th: Red 8th: Grey 9th: Blue 10th: White
tau tech isn't more advance than humanity... as far as the lore says the tau empire is the newlyest of them all... even chaos are older than them, so all in all humans tech is much older and also more advance... that they don't use lazer as much doesn't mean they are less advanced ;)
No, Chaos is. Without proper vigilance, thousands of worlds can fall to Chaos in an eyeblink. The Nids are still held back by the principles of physics. The Daemons of Chaos are not. Besides, in the 40k rulebook there's a pic of a Daemon Prince owning a Carnifex.
The game had a good storyline but it was abit unrealistic having one tau warrior completly crush the imperium. If there is a sequel it should be more action squad based in the same way as conflict desert storm.
I want there to be a fire warrior II... with vehicles you could mount... and better graphics... awww... everyone write to THQ to make a knew one! WHEE!
@HanDynasty26349 all to many humans have dealed with xenos like the imperial guard inqustion all arms of the imperium have at one piont so dont ride your high horse plus when the empoer is reborn we can have a allince with the tau and eldar to eradicate chaos an the orks and al other that oppose us all the empoer wanted id for humanty to united but sadly his dream was destroyed by the great betrayer horus.... :(
i was pleasantly surprised to discover that i actually don't mind the tau's voices in this game; just alien enough not to be totally reminiscent of chinese actors trying to imitate the english language. now dc on the other hand... there you get the old stereotypical cantonese accent on full.
Errrm...human technology WAS a lot better before the Dark Age, but I seriously doubt it surpassed that of the Necrons or the Eldar. If that were the case, the Emperor wouldn't even have bothered attempting to colonise the Webway.

the necrons are as unstopable as any army most races are fearful of necrons and the entire necron race isnt even fully active and it took the combined efforts of the eldar and the old ones to destroy them last time
OK yes the Orks are awesome but looking at it from a nuetral point of view, the TYRANIDS will EVENTUALLY absorb the entire galaxy, theres just no question of it. the only thing that could stop this from happening is the Necron because they have no Biomass, but even then it would take a significant force with enough galactic resources to defeat a force that spans MULTIPLE Galaxies.

Captain Ardias was a member of the Ultramarines Chapter who are renowned for their honourable conduct.
I just love Brian Blessed's "GORDON'S ALIVE!?" from Flash Gordon, and you can just TELL it's him from the get-go.

GUILLEMAN'S ALIVE
@MagicQuinn Considering that the "bad guys" in the game are chaos (at least in the later half of the game) it's most likely Chaos he is refering too.
According to what I know and the time this came out i believe there referring to a tyrannid hive fleet Kraken

Space Marines seem a bit small. O_o
Ultrasmurfs!
@uBrosis Kais you say. hmm the tau commander in dark crusade was called Shas'O Kais. I wonder...
@Echossaise Not sure, know nothing about the death watch Ardias, but this Ardis Died in battle with the Tau according to the fluff.
@kingkong381 ok thats my bad.. should have read more at lexicanum.. how did chaos space marines boarded that battleship? did serverus summoned the CSM
@NicholasGeschke well in any case he is not in charge of the Third company anymore :P
Ardias is cool i like his voice also i must say the people that animated him did a good job at making his armor move easily it looks acurate
what chapter or legion was the space marine in in the cutscene?
@uBrosis fair enough. still fun to think that it is the same one.

Did anyone else realise that the guy doing Admiral constantine's voice also did the voice of Boss Nass in Star Wars???

@Cursed13 or hagrethe space wolf he was like 10-11 feet tall
exactly, as I said above, for every enemy the Tyranids fell, they gain the biomass to produce allies.
@NicholasGeschke He died fighting the Tau after this conflict
In context of the Space Marines it's more likely to be Chaos than the Tyranids I think
Ironically Ardius eventually dies at the hands of the Tau Empire during the Jorian retaliation..
And he was one of my favourite characters too :/
yer but in all pics u c of space marines anywere if a marine is a sergant or higher they seem to neva ave a helmet
@azuer143 They didn't lose Macragge. It was attacked but The Ultramarines reclaimed it. But lost the entire 1st Company. In fact Macragge is normal again. Well apart from the training of elite SMs to fight 'nids
Space marines rarely remove their helmets, and certainly not in an outdoor enviroment where they could be shot easily.

uh the guy that did the voice of darth maul, whose voice did he do .... Ardias's?
@Blocky858 Kais (the one you play) went to the imperial planet, stormed the prison where they locked him up and rescued him :)
is this game worth downloading?? plz answer
@HuhMahNinja Yup, it's Brian Blessed!

god i am all alone on the online for the ps2 i need some other players to fight come on back to the fire warrior for the ps2 plz
are these taus?
wait a sec if he is of the ultramarines chapter than why are his shoulder cup rims red and not gold???
and first company??
Final battle is against Zench if I remember
Well it's against a lord of change so partely right 🙂
