I bought Quinclorac 75 and Prodiamine 65 WDG. So Quiclorac is post emergence. The Prodiamine is pre emergence, correct? Is the Prodiamine I bought enough alone for pre emergence in fall? This is what I bought Yard Mastery Prodiamine 65 WDG Professional Pre Emergent Weed Killer Herbicide for Crabgrass, POA Annua and Other Problem Weeds - 5oz Bottle - Water Dispersible Granule. *You sir are changing my life.*
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral Thanks. I am watching your new video on my laptop now. If I spray Prodiamine do I need anything else? Or is that alone enough for pre emergence?
I just do what my grandma taught me. Pull them by hand and put in the work. This is my first yr and I noticed my lawn is the best on our street. I started pulling all weeds and any buds that produce seeds. So far it's working well. But I have some crab grass still. Hopefully something like this will make it look amazing.
Yeap everyday I am pulling weeds, I found sitting on a sun shade I can pull myself across the lawn with little effort , I am getting older so this works well.
Great video.. I'm over in the Philippines and crab grass is a dominate weed in my lawn.. I've had to order Quinclorac 75 DF from the US at cost but it's going to be worth every penny..
Quinclorac is a beast. I use it and it totally killed all of my crab grass. I have some other weeds. I wish they allow us to add photos of our yards in this.
thanks, Michael, you provide the info, and, nothing but the info, to those of us that need the truth about crabgrass. I was thinking I might have to kill my entire lawn, and, re-sod the whole thing...$$$
I tried tons of stuff so this summer my project is to just manually pull the weeds out myself with the roots and follow other stuff and treat my lawn and grown it right.
I have totally tried every method using different chemicals and pro technical tips, followed all the instructions to the letter. I have had some favorable results but sometimes it seems that the unwanted weed grasses are so dense that chemicals don't really reach the root system. I have even experienced a white mildew/mold/fungus at the soil level because of the density . I probably am fighting an unwinnable war due to living in the city and neighbors who im lucky if they even cut their own lawn! Lol to each their own on that note, I'm headed out to 5be yard to physically remove this PAIN IN THE GRASS by hand, its a tough job but the results 💪 definitely make it worthwhile. Every spring my lawn looks better and better, with the lush green grass replacing what the fall before had been a patch of junk weeds Good luck lawn warriors out there
Damn that's exactly what I've been going through. I been at war with my crabgrass and now I know why it won't die. I been spot spraying. I been spraying the full concentration without mixing water in it and it kills it but then it kills the good grass also and I have bare spots all over. Thanks for making this video. Only video I found to tell me this info. Thanks
When I used the df 75 3 weeks ago it burned my grass so be careful of the heat. I was waiting until about 7:00 pm to put it down but it still burned it.
I would just like to add I have killed Dallis grass in my st.augustine lawn this summer with celsius wg. it was really expensive but it worked. It also killed off all the crabgrass I am battling in one spot. After two treatments the crabgrass all died, then a week later it all started growing agin among the dead crabrass. I always use bonide weedbeater complete in february, july and october. Never had Crabgrass in 17 years until this year. Anyway, just wanted to add I did kill Dallis grass in my st. augustine with celsius.
Preach it BYD! Quinclorac 75!! I did a video saying the same that these weak types with very little quinclorac will not work! Great video sir! Come by my way and show some love...thanks and I’ll see you next time!
I agree whole heartedly with what you are saying, but I would add pre- emergent 3-4 times a year is best on Bermuda. I try not to use anything but fertilizer and pre emergent.
I guess I'm not understanding "Pre-emergent" is there a product actually called "Pre-emergent" or are we talking about the same ol' weed killer applied earlier in the spring?
Great video thank you! I use Quinclorac 75 one tablespoon per gallon with sticker on my crabgrass too. Will it work on some torpedo grass I see in my Bermuda?
What's the point of using Quinclorac in late summer, if the seeds are already out and in the ground for next year? Also, is pulling by hand just as effective? I've been going crazy with the amount of crabgrass growing in my yard
You want to kill the crabgrass in late summer and then overseed and water, water, water. So before the fall ends you will have new grass that will help prevent some of the crabgrass seeds from germinating the next spring. Also, during the following spring you want to apply pre-emergent that will also help prevent the crabgrass seeds from germinating.
So yes my lawn is ALL crab grass and NO grass. If I put down prodiamine I can’t seed until 4 months later. March then 4 months later it will be July. From my understanding I can’t seed in a hot summer like July. Should I not apply fall pre-emergent and risk poa to overseed the lawn in September?
Good day sir! Love the content. I have a question I’ve put down pre emergent two weeks ago. I’ve noticed that I still have spurge and other weeds. Can I put down something now to kill existing weeds? Thanks for you help
What about if I struggled all season to establish a TTF lawn in Michigan, and overseeding in the fall is mandatory. Am I risking having issues with new grass seed germination if I blast my crabgrass with this? Great video, learned a lot from it.

I just did that this year with my lawn...my soil was too high (water was standing on the sidewalk with walls of dirt holding it in) so I rented a sod cutter and removed the top 2 inches of soil from my lawn, then tilled and used a drag mat (extensively) to level my lawn to minimize future top dressing. Where I didn't remove soil, and just tilled everything, tons of weeds came back. Where the soil was removed, very few weeds by comparison. I put down Zenith Zoysia and the sod farmer told me not to use a surfactant on the new grass, and since I still have to keep the top layer of soil moist I had to come back and water about 16-18 hours later so I wasn't expecting great results. Some young crabgrass wasn't hurt, but some more advanced (7+ tiller crabgrass) died, so I have to say this stuff works great to kill 7+ tiller crabgrass with no surfactant and washing it off less than a day later. I got smarter on my follow up application yesterday. Today is a much cooler day with a lot of cloud cover so I don't need to water as soon, so the quinclorac will soak in longer. And although no rain was forecast for today...it is now raining. (shaking my head). I have another weed that looks like 3-5 blades of tall grass that I'm not sure what it is, but either the 2, 4D or Quinclorac turned a fair amount of it to a yellow color, so hopefully this follow up treatment will kill off this unrecognized weed as well and I can mow in a few days to give my new Zoysia some more sunlight. I'm really looking forward to next spring when I can put down some Prodiamine and Dithiopyr and knock these weeds down before these annual weeds start to come back when the soil warms up again and have a really nice lawn. Thanks for the helpful info!
Thats for the Knowledge! It's early Nov here in California and my lawn is infested with crabgrass and its all dead and yellow now. I want to overseed with fescue and fertilizer will the quincloraic affect this? Or should I wait to apply until early spring Feb??
I used MSMA on crabgrass in my Meyer zoysia lawn. It actually killed the crabgrass, but I had brown spots in my lawn for weeks, despite plenty of rain and a good fertilizer program. I used it at about 1/2 strength recommended on the bottle for that very reason. Would Quinclorac be any easier on my zoysia?

I am a woman and fighting for nine years for the 8.000 sf grass around and front of my house to be beautiful. I treat and treat and every year I have a different infestation of weeds. My dear neighbors do not take care, just cut really short and here in Tulsa-OK where I live, is very windy, so the "others'" seeds end up in my yard. Last year my grass was getting decent and I used milorganite all year. This year, it is infested with crabgrass. I am cutting all with number 2 on the mower, bagging up all the stems and seeds and will wait for fall, and aply the pre emergent next year. Can you tell us where do you buy the one you have, the quali pro???I looked up on the internet and did not find it. Thank you.
Pls use Target 6 Plus, wonderful. Google it, cost $92 for 2.5 gallons. Use spray pump, 2oz per 1 gallon water. Seem cost a lot to begin with, but in the long run, it costs much less compare to stuff we buy at Walnart to kill crab grass. Say it with 2.5 gallons and 8000 square ft. It will last you for 4 years
So I used this formula 3 days ago and the crabgrass is dying. So what do I do now? Do I pull up the dead weeds by hand, mow it, or does it disappear by itself?
Am also in the same boat with some home owners, My lawn is driving me crazy, am sure my neighbors would be gossiping about how i have tried all types of stuff on my lawn and spending most of my time fixing one spot or the other, everything that have tried always kills my grass and not the grab grass. i resorted to taking out some portion of my yard and replacing it with turf sods. The moment I fix one section with turf sod, crab grass will show up next to a spot that I have already fixed months ago. what am I doing wrong? did i offend someone?
Hey BYD, I literally just got prodiamine from domyown website. It's safe on Bermuda below 85 degrees, right? Also I tried Trimec over the summer, it turned the crabgrass purple, but didn't kill it. I learned the hard way
Well I was curious on how you would apply just a small bottle of seeds at first. But then I seen you had another video on how to mix it. I have a few yards with huge neon green grass. And I am assuming it's Bermuda. And I wanna get rid of it for them. Also never done this stuff before. I mainly just cut the lawns. So branching out my services to more areas and trying to learn as much as i can
If your lawn has an abundant amount of crabgrass killed by Quinclorac and you live in an association where we have landscapers that mow the lawn and you don't own a lawn mower, should you just leave the dead crabgrass while making the soil more fertile for the Bermuda to come back in south Florida [plus use a Pre-Emergent]?
Crabgrass oh crabgrass $@ you in the goat !#@ oh Crabgrass You think that you've won And Taken over my lawn. Well jokes on you biotch My order of Glyphosate duth come!

Brandon Smith not understanding question 🧐
Well I was curious on how you would apply just a small bottle of seeds at first. But then I seen you had another video on how to mix it. I have a few yards with huge neon green grass. And I am assuming it's Bermuda. And I wanna get rid of it for them. Also never done this stuff before. I mainly just cut the lawns. So branching out my services to more areas and trying to learn as much as i can
Any my yard has tons of clover green ones and I guess those white ones are clover as well right?
Brandon Smith You’ll need to be on a Prodiamine program to prevent the seeds from germinating
Read the label. Important stuff there. Don't spray under trees.
Tried the Quinclorac and this stuff is amazing! Killed all the Crabgrass within a week and a half!
Gwen Green it works awesome.
At 4:08 you showed a split screen to crush your neighbors. If the neighbors are infested with crabgrass how can you ever really win?
Pre Emergent. plus i'd get to know that neighbor to help them eliminate that issue
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral I did pre emergent and my crabgrass is awful, neighbors even worse.
I've had Truegreen for a year and my lawn still looks like sh%t! I'm ready to fire them if my lawn doesn't turn for the better.
Will 30% vinegar get rid of crabgrass?
Crabgrass Father: Avenge Me Seedling. Give The Bermuda Brotha Hell Next Summer.
So the Q75, how much water does it get diluted with? Just curious what % actually gets sprayed down on the plant.
SuperJman991 click on the overhead link near the end of this video and it explains rates and all 👍🏾

very good information but the bouncing of the camera is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. if that gets cleaned up I'd come back. the way it is is now bouncing, zooming in and out, bad focus, can't do it
