      Dexter Lawrence he did two different tutorials using the same phone, one for the back cover and another one for the front LCD screen, and since you need to replace the LCD screen before you replace the back cover that's why it looks different, but it's the same phone.
      This is the full totorial to replace both the front LCD screen and the back cover: ruclips.net/video/JEFq1B5vrk4/видео.html
      You will see it's the same phone

  • @hotrodharmon
    @hotrodharmon 6 лет назад +1

    That backs been taken off before. If you try this keep a heat gun with you the glue hardens extreamly fast and needs to be heated up several times while taking off the back

  • @JasonTDolan
    @JasonTDolan 7 лет назад +4

    The back cover glue is coming off my S7 Edge. The back cover isn't broken or cracked it's just all opening up my phone is in perfect condition. I see the glue trying to hold it and i press it closed but as soon as I remove the pressure the back cover begins to open on the left side of phone again. I was thinking maybe the battery is swollen inside or is it just losing the glue, why glue it on in the first place. It's only 7 months old. Gold Samsung S7 Edge. Obviously now it is not water proof.

      Having the same problem. Left edge as you look at the screen. The phone gets hot now. I noticed it a few months ago. Took temp readings using IR/Laser and the back to the left if the camera eye was reading 104° F and the center around 98°.

      That happened to mine when I kept on falling asleep with it plugged in charger overnight. I just put the phone on the floor.Put a towel on the back then put a heavy dumbbell on back of the phone for a few minutes to press battery cover down.That solved it.And I dropped it in water after to test it.Everythjngs fine.

      I just made contact Samsung and they said that there should be no issue with its waterproof. Was soooo glad to hear it!
      I cracked my rear glass.. I didn't drop it, but I only put it on my back pocket. When I grabbed my phone and noticed the rear glass cracked I was in intense shock and was totally speechless cause I didn't drop it or harm it in any way. Little did I know I put my phone in the same pocket where my keys were. I sat on my back pocket so the keys put pressure on the rear glass and eventually made a huge (spider-web) crack near the camera. I hated myself so much lol. Now I gotta waste $$ to fix :(

    Not having a go but with lithium ion battery you have to watch heat sources and that you don't accidently pierce the battery as when you do it can go up so hope everyone who does this is carefull

      TheReal KrazyLegz bro its not hard at all trust use a razor blade to cut around the edge and heat first make sure the phones off cause you don't want it to over heat it took me 2 min and when you put new glass on heat up with hairdryer adhesive sticks way better and make sure you press nice and hard on the edge I've had mine on for months with out a issue

    • @doodelay
      @doodelay 7 лет назад

      All I want to do is open it, take the battery out to force re-start my phone, and then put the old cover back on. Will I need a new back cover altogether just for that or will the adhesive that I heated up prior be just as good to stick the cover back on?

    • @ndn2589
      @ndn2589 7 лет назад +1

      Marcos Torrez no you reheat the new one before you put on like the edge of the adhesive cause it will stick better it makes the adhesive nice and tacky

      @ndn2589 7 лет назад

  • @Darkness93
    @Darkness93 2 месяца назад

    Ok this is how I did it, it was actually a lot easier with a tiny flathead instead of a guitar pick or the ones provided by IFIXIT because they're a bit too thick!
    Heat with a hairdryer on full blast for a full minute until it's very hot to the touch
    Use your shirt or gloves to keep the phone steady while not having it hurt too much
    Use the suction cup provided by IFIXIT to lift the glass cover open on the side edge (back edge may also work)
    While doing this, insert your tiny flathead screwdriver into the edge until you can get an opening, at which point you can insert the pick instead
    Good luck! 😎
