@@daviddorado5632 will still work but you risk dust and dirt getting under it and breaking the LCD and you also risk the glass randomly falling off because it is not secured properly
People need to realise that without a freezing machine which uses liquid nitrogen or another expensive machine which I can't be bothered to describe, this man has just done a first on RUclips. It looks a mess but it's a job well done, trust me. Even with the expensive machines a screen this smashed is going to be a messy job at the point of removing glass and glue. I'd trust him to repair my S7edge.👏👏👏👏👏👏
WOW!! That was so pro.. Man you have a heart of stone to replace the glass without any heat!! my heart was dropping every time you push hard a little .. Unbelievable
This is actually a great guide as someone who does this professionally, he probably knows what he’s doing and it’s his phone, if you don’t like it, go make your own tutorial about how you think it should be done
If you are watching this video please do not attempt to remove the glass using this stupid method. Apply heat first to the glass so that the octopus glue softens then remove the glass slowly. Removing the glass using this method will either scratch the lcd or damaged the touch sensors.
screen protectors do not protect your screen from drops. The glass cracks from drops on the corner of the phone. Screen protectors do not increase the structural integrity of the glass, a hit in the right spot will crack it either way. In the old days when phone screens were plastic a protector would protect it from getting scratched and scuffed but now a-days they are just expensive pieces of glass that you put on top of glass. You are a moron for buying a thin piece of glass and putting it on top of more glass and thinking its going to protect your screen. if you drop your tv on the corner do you think having a piece of glass glued to it is going to keep it from cracking? or a picture frame with more glass glued to the front dropped on its corner will not shatter if dropped on its corners. People are morons for spending money on this stuff and thinking it will do anything.
Now that's how you change a Front outer glass lens not like thos syupid videos that just change the entire display and waste a working lcd, nice video (take your like bro)
Luis Batista it's not really stupid considering that it's a much lesser risk to do so. I mean yeah, the guy did a solid job, but why make your life harder when you can just swap both in one go? Now what I DO find stupid is your grammar and spelling.
I would like to try to remove the glass as well. My question is why you need to open the phone at the back and partly disassemble it. Maybe to avoid yo damage the batterie under uv-light or that glue is running on the lense of the camera??? It would safe a lot of time if it is not neccessary to open the phone.
Wow you're Amazing. You didn't shut the power off while seperating the glass and the lcd didn't break at all,it stills working fine. I can't believe my eyes. This is Awesome man. I will try and i hope i won't break my phone.
Did the same but heated it up first to get out the glass, unlike your barbarian way. Then cleaned up with some alcohol, tore it apart and thats it. LOCA Glue and UV worked out perfect
do you heat it gently or more than it looks its needed? I ask because I removed the back cover of a S6 and I had to heat it a lot, but on this case I guess too much heat could damage the screen
OMG. What a butcher job. How in the hell did you not fuck up the LCD. It looks like you never even used heat or cold to help remove the glass. I'd call this EXTREMELY lucky.
Awesome job mate, just wanted to point out that the silence in this video was quite deafening (perhaps even just the fast forwarded sound of what you were doing would've been better than just pure silence, heck even a Beethoven Symphony), other than that though well done
Hi jerry my s7 edge is have a black screen after i accident fall in water and the screen is not working i mean the display but the led are glowing when i turn off my phone what can i do? Answer me please jerry.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME. ITS EASIER TO REMOVE THE BACK AND THE MOTHERBOARD AND THEN WHEN U BUY A NEW SCREEN, BUY IT INSTALLED ON THE FRAME ALREADY. THAT WILL BE 100 TIMES EASIER. WAY LESS RISKY. LESS MONEY SPENT GOING THIS ROUTE THEN STILL DOING IT AGAIN BECAUSE THIS GUY LED YOU IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. I KNOW THE OUTER GLASS IS CHEAPER TO BUY BUT INSTALLING IT YOU WILL BREAK YOU LCD. CHEAPEST ROUTE IS TO BUY A TEMPERED GLASS SHIELD AND PUT IT ON TOP OF THE BROKEN SCREEN. THE LCD WOULD BREAK FOR MOST ALL PEOPLE. IDK HOW USING A METAL PIECE LIKE THAT U DIDN'T BREAK THE LCD. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE WHO DOSEN'T KNOW THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE.
@Mohd Noor Abu Bakar the best method is to buy a new lcd/oled screen and frame. And remove your motherboard from your current phone. Much safer. This guy in the video is scamming for clicks.

Yes, never try to pry off a glued layer of glass with a pry tool it damages the oled panel underneath. Go see a real professional that will replace the whole screen, he can also use a vacuum chamber with professional tools to remove only the glass panel safely and put a new one on.
It's not demonstrated in this video, but usually you would use a what gun to warm the glue up underneath the screen. In which case, you really should be taking the back of the phone off and removing the battery and logic board so you don't risk toasting anything important.
not everyone dares to do this anymore, my respect to you my friend, the last glass i did was a note 3 and galaxy s4 i hope i succeed with my s6 edge plus
