- We were fortunate enough to meet up with the Rotor Riot crew, during their Seattle visit. It was pretty cool! And, check out the BEAST of a drone that Joshua Bardwell brought with him. He could hardly watch as Nurk and Zoe took it for a spin!

Hi, thanks for the video, I have this tyro 109 just finished setup, I've few questions/issues if you can help please,
1. the stock version betaflight was 3.5.0 I updated to 4.1, and now the accelerometer is the wrong direction, no calibration helps, when I move the sides it shows the front nose, how can I fix that?
2. the top plate (silver color) of the camera antenna get very hot after plugging the battery, should it be that way?
3. I've got the flysky Nirvana nv14 installed with the x8b receiver, binding works, but can't control the drone, I've connected the receiver plug to the flight control, and soldered bridge ibus right side on MATEKF405, can you help, please? sorry for all those questions I'm just lost.. thank you

That is a very impressive sound. It is on the razor edge of Maniacal. It is quite possible that the director of the horror movie "Phantasm" went forward in time to Bardwell's home as an inspiration. That kinetic energy display is the likes of which would provide a perma-grin, after the initial jaw dropping disbelief that something that massive is so agile. In your face agile. Thats "Breaking Bad" type addictive power. It is a good thing that the prospect of inadvertent irreversible kinetic deceleration prevents many more less confident and talented pilots from juggling that form of quadratic hedge trimmer.
Wish I could've been there! I think I was at work, but I also think my quad may be down until I get a new Vtx probably.

This is awesome footage!! When and where was this? I'm on the Olympic Peninsula and I would of drove out for this. Also, the weather cooperated. Looked like a gorgeous day to fly.
It was in Kent on Friday morning. I only found out about it last minute myself.

It was south of Seattle. Traffic made it feel kind of far, but I'm glad I was able to make it work. :-)

This was a one-off thing because the Rotor Riot crew was in town. I’m not sure where Seattle pilots congregate normally. I live on the East side and often fly at 60 Acres.

Yep, as unlikely as it would be to failsafe at that distance, when things get that big especially, you need to keep your 'energy vectors' pointed away from the meatbags.

How can you reverse the direction of a single motor without switching 2 mo wires?
Are you asking how Zoe flies inverted with her 3D quads? Or just how to reverse a motor in general? The general answer is you go into the BLHeli Configurator and toggle "Normal" to "Reversed" or via vera for that motor.
For 3D you set esc’s set to Bi-directional bidirectional reverse no need to swap any wires, the motors actually stop and spin the opposite way

Brilliant stuff, but before long, we're all going to need to talk safety - this sort of aircraft, at an event where everyone is part of the community and understands the risks, is not an issue.
But the same sort of frame, with a kilo and a half of cinema camera, plus a kilo of lens, at a public sporting event - Football or Drift Racing or Drag Racing - where the public at large are unaware of the risks,... We have to say No to flying something that heavy and that fast around the public.
We all love the gear and flying, but we need to be aware that the general public, and especially the uninformed Media, will go full attack mode on all of us if anyone outside of our events gets injured.
Don't know where you're from but in US flying at public events and especially over people is illegal. When it comes to games and stadiums, TFR kicks in 2 hours before the game starts and lasts 2 hours after the game ends and extends 2 or 3 miles (don't remember exactly) all around stadium. Violation of NFZ in US is punishable by upto a year in prison in addition to upto 100K fine.
@@Fpsnut Here in Oz, there's a class of licensed that allows flights at public events - the insurance requirements are stringent too. I'm more concerned seeing some of the xclass with cinema cameras at motorsport, where a 5 inch can be safe, but an xclass really can't with 2.5 kilos worth of camera mass on top.
