I agree Valor is Distributing the wrong size as well as the heat capability 120v which does not produce enough for New England winter. I went to a showroom this weekend and I saw the British fires model it's absolutely stunning, far better than dimplex igniteXl and the logs are absolutely gorgeous. But since dimplex gives me the option of 240v which will produce a lot more heat I am going with that model.
Not sure how long it'll take on your side of the pond but here in the UK this fire is offered as a 1200 (46"), 1600 (63") and a 2400 (94"). Given the chance to establish itself I think the inclusion of the other sizes might make this a really popular offering. Interesting to see a different perspective on it for your market though.
It's absolutely gorgeous, it's my number one pick after spending 3 weeks researching electrical fireplace and visiting showrooms here in Boston. unfortunately the British fires model in the US can be wired to 120 V but not 240v. Which means it will not produce enough heat for a large living room 😔. Not sure why British fires can't sell all their models directly to the US market.
They now offer this fire in the UK with a deluxe real log insert hand crafted out of actual timber in more of a campfire setup and for me this lifts this product above others. I was considering the Onyx Avanti but for all its features I didn’t like its flame compared to this. So far the 1800 (approx 70 inch) version with 65 inch TV is my preferred option, but I want to view Kalfire E-One before purchasing.
Is there anyway to virtually visit your showroom? I know this may sound silly but I live near Dallas and there’s literally nowhere to see electric fireplaces in the flesh. Looking at RUclips videos is great but its not the same as getting different angles etc. Please let me know as I’m interested in purchasing a fireplace I just don’t know how to go about viewing them.
A good job Trevor in pointing out the issues of just one size of product , it is no coincidence that the leading manufactures make there units to match up with tv sizes it shows they are paying attention and are in for the long haul . We have selling nothing but electric fire for twenty years and are amazed that some of the leading manufacturers just do not understand what the marketing strategy for this product is for home owners. terence tripp
Hey Trevor, I live in the Boston area and am looking for a solid electric fireplace retailer. Can travel to surrounding states if necessary (NY, CT, RI, Etc). Any recommendations? I’m trying to find an electric insert for my industrial loft condo build (no exterior venting so need electric)
Love your reviews Trevor (I’m a subscriber) but don’t quite agree with you on fireplace sizes. Not everyone wants a TV over their fireplace. I know I don’t (a girl thing) and especially not a gigantic-ginormous TV. Nice looking fireplace other than the mirror reflection. I’m waiting for the Ignite Bold 50. Am hoping it doesn’t have as much glare/ or mirror reflection. Next year seams far away!
@@embersliving When do you think you'll get one? Would like to see one first before pre-ordering. Also really like the Kiruna three-sided but pricey. Wish it was 50 and not 40 - Thanks!
Greatly job Trevor! Really appreciate your reviews, honest opinions and insights, no BS. Thanks.
I appreciate that!

True
TV's in the uk are much smaller, then the USA TV's. Not many people in the UK have a 65" TV. This fire place is perfect for the UK
