This video is part one of the lounge transformation video. We focused on the media wall transformation with a Scandinavian theme,. We fitted slat wall panels and a huge linear fireplace which completely transforms the space. As always everything was our own DIY!. I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Looks amazing - was it just lucky on the sizing and framing that you found the fire and TV that matched so perfectly and lined up exactly? Or did you hunt around for ages? Do you mind me asking what you need to budget for this as a project;. I think it is so cool. The only issue I now have is I’ve just bought a TV and if I were to do it, I’d have to buy another to get it to line up as perfectly as you have it. Fab Job

Hi! I just watched your video, your living room is going to be really beautiful!! Maybe you have already thought of it, but I saw the radiator and suddenly thought... Would you consider a design radiator or radiator cover? I think the wall next to the fireplace and TV will look completely different then. They are available in various colours, patterns and materials. Just a tip from a Dutch devoted lover of your videos :)
Thank you! That is a good idea, I’m not a fan of the traditional radiators in houses to be honest and it definitely could like much nicer in the space

Long shot but how did you remove the old fireplace? Was it easy to do? Love the new one 😄
We had a gas engineer disconnect it which took 20 minutes and we pulled the whole thing out ourselves which didn’t take long either 😊
Just wondering if you moved the alarm system censor as it was behind the fake wooden wall
yeah we disconnected it and it will be moved :)

As the Tv is not inset and there is no mantle are you not concerned about the heat ruining the TV?
We probably would never set the heat function above 21 degrees so I wouldn’t worry about the tv unless it were a real fire 🙂
The tv and fireplace wall looks so nice but would look even better if it had shelves either side of the tv

It’s a shame you don’t post more regularly.
It’s hard because these diy videos take weeks to film and our daily lives aren’t that interesting. But comment any video ideas if you have anything you’d like to see from us 😀
The TV is far too large for the fire. The scale is off . It would have looked great if scale was considered. It’s an important facet of design that is easily overlooked or not understood.
We are actually very happy the fireplace is the same width as the tv and that it flows well with the leading lines of the wall panels
For some reason I feel like y’all ain’t do no work 😭😭😭 didn’t see any painting or anything 😭😭😭 or y’all wasn’t dirty
haha in fairness we were ankle deep in concrete in one of the last videos. I guess this was a pretty simple project this time :)
Okay okay okay lol I was like hold on the only construction I seen was a few nails in the dry wall 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 but Ik I believe you I just had to be the one to say it 😭😭😭 lol I’m the type that like to watch the steps getting done lol it’s satisfying
